Anyone have any luck booking a package with the dining plan yet? I was told that you can't add dining.
I understood exactly what you were saying. Your post was more of a "this deal is laughable" post not that you were actually laughing at someone who was excited about saving $181.00.
Holy Smokes!!! Everyone calm down. Let me explain my point of view more clearly. I wasn't laughing at the person, I was laughing at WDW trying to "earn" my business with $181 "discount" when I'm spending $10k of vacation money in Orlando on a yearly basis.
I guess the difference with me is WDW needs to earn my business by offering me a deal that I consider fair. WDW "rack rate" is not something I will pay. It's grossly overpriced as a whole when you factor everything in. The food prices are laughable compared to other places. Some of you book a package and then hope for a "deal". The ones that can't afford rack rate cancel, some of you can afford and claim to be happy with any kind of discount.
I don't need a "discount" to book a vacation, I need a price that I find fair. If rack rate is fair then no need for a discount. WDW or any other business needs to earn my business with a good product, good service, and a fair price. The FD promo we have booked our last two WDW packages with make it a fair value for us, without that deal I would have went somewhere else. It isn't about what we can afford, because obviously were doing alright taking $10k vacations on a regular basis. We love the WDW product, have always been happy with the service, so if the price is fair they will get most of my vacation money. If the price isn't fair I refuse to compromise my principals.
So I wasn't making fun of the person, but the thought that WDW would think $181 would earn "my" business. If my vacation cost $1800 than $181 is a bigger deal, but there are obviously other nice vacation destinations that will offer me a lot more than that to get $10k of my money. Like I said the FD promo for the 3 of us over 14 nights worked out to about $2300-$2500 when we added the bills up. That factored into the overall cost of the package made it a good deal.
Woohoo!! Called and got the deal this morning with a Disney Visa, saved $1200 on our 8 night YC stay for April!!! I know not all the resorts were showing a good discount, but we sure got luckyNow I am anxiously awaiting the confirmation email so I can see it in writing and convince myself I didn't hear it wrong, ha!
What number and code? Don't see it on the rewards site.

I added the discount to my package that already had dining and it wasn't a problem, maybe call back and see if you get a different CM BC it doesn't seem like that's right.
I don't have a Disney Visa so I was wondering will there be any rooms left with this discount by the time it's offered to the general public?
Thanks!
Carla
