It's time for....DISNEY CONFESSIONS

My apartment is secretly decorated in souvenirs. Each room of the apartment is decorated as a different country (Wonder what gave me that idea? ;) ). There is not a Mickey or mention of Disney World anywhere to be found, yet I am reminded of Disney all the time.

My EPCOT collection started in 1998 and has been growing and growing. I look like a global explorer.

Sounds very cool, I think I'd love it there.

Years ago, someone who I thought was a friend came to my apartment for the first time. She was very into Victorian, and I admired her sense of decorating, and told her all the time, although it was not my personal taste. She looked around my apartment, and told me "being in your apartment is like being in an 8 y/o girl's bedroom". Besides being tremendously hurt, I told her "You don't have to come back". I figure until someone else is paying my rent, they will never have the right to tell me how to adorn my space.

I am OBSESSED with Vintage Disney. I have sever youtube channels saved. I watch history, ride thrus, parades, and listened to music from the parks and rides. I grew up listening to the Main Street Electrical Parade record. I loved my mom's 1976 Bicentennial pictures from Disneyland.

I have all of the Disney Treasures tins that have all of the old animated shorts. It's fun to pull one out and get a fix every now and then.

After particularly tough days at work, I crank up my Disney play list and sing on the top of my lungs while sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic. I've channeled my inner Elsa and "Let it Go" more times than I can count. Have gotten a few strange looks before from nearby drivers :-P

And this one is not such a secret - named one of my twin girls Aurora after my favorite princess :-)

I have an entire (small) second-floor living room in my house dedicated to Disney, including Princess curtains and rug. There's barely any space left on the walls or closet doors for more decorations, and even the inside of the closet is filled with Disney collectibles (mostly Funko Pops and the Lego Cinderella Castle). Only those closest to me -- the ones who already know how crazy I am about Disney -- ever get to see the room.

My real confession is that after a particularly stressful day, I put a walk around tour of MK/EPCOT on with low volume to help me sleep. I tend to get really anxious after a stressful day and the sounds seem to soothe me.
Where did you get the walk around tour - is it a podcast?

I wear Mickey ear rings everyday.
My students know what Sorcerer Radio is
My student all know I want to be The Fairy Godmother at WDW when I grow up.
All my t-shirts are for my school or Disney shirts
I check a Disney food blog everynight before bed

There are quite a few of them on youtube, I fail to remember any author names but I just search "Magic Kingdom tour" There are some little 20 minute ones but there are some really extensive ones too.

I work at our church pre-school so my room has a lot of Disney decorations, oh and my room is Ms Kim's Magical Kingdom, so most of my friends know my obsession. My kitchen and master bath is full Disney but then I have Disney scattered through out the house. I will say when a new teacher comes to my house I feel like I'm going to be judged on my kitchen but majority of the time I am not. I think DD was a little embarrassed on the kitchen through her college years lol. I've done most of the things mentioned, I have a box of files of all our past trips with maps, etc, beach towels are only Disney, I don't do anything on Saturday mornings cause I am in front of tv watching my podcast, Disney videos, walk throughs, and anything I haven't seen and then ends with park music to do housework or pay bills. I think the only thing I sometimes get embarrassed about is when people come over and ask me the names of my dogs-tinker bell and Minnie of course!

Due to my husband's company being sold and now having new owners, he sadly informed we could only do a family camping trip OR our anniversary trip to Disneyland. We can't do both. I almost feel sad my boys are not getting a vacation this year. Note I said ALMOST!!!! :lmao:

All of the above. Especially the park times and weather checking. I have a lot of "*sigh, if we were in Orlando right now..." moments

The only mugs in my cabinet are Disney/Disney Parks. I LOVE all the Starbucks "You are Here" city mugs and wanted to collect one in any city that I visit that has one... but never have because I like keeping my Disney Parks ones special.

I hoard Disney resorts toiletries. I keep them in a giant box and I like to open the box here and there just to run my hands over my collection. I don't do anything with them I just like knowing they're there.

I also hoard magic bands. I know there is the option to decline a band when you book... but I can't do it. I have to have all the ones they offer to you. We usually resort hop during our visits, so since they've launched magic bands we have somehow collected enough that I decorated my Christmas tree last Christmas with magic bands
