Here I come to save the day.....:rotfl:

When are you going next?

That is great information. We're starting to plan a for dinner at Boma (for our Dec trip), found the 'rotation' menu and also wondered if it was still the same.

If I understand their response, it's basically no longer current but one can, no doubt, always look forward to a great meal. Sounds good to me!

Thanks very much!

I can tell you that the special features will be available but I can tell you that there is never a day where there is not a great selection of fantastic food.

I think this is is an important point to remember. Boma has great food and trying to plan for a particular menu is a bit too much planning even for someone like me.:rotfl2:

Make your ADR for the night that fits your schedule the best and enjoy whatever they happen to serve that night. I would hate to plan around a menu and then find out they changed it.

:goodvibes I just had to switch my adr for Boma from a tues to a thurs. There is a thread that states tuesdays rotation is several different preparations of salmon and a seafood chowder that sounded good... but the tuesday rotation says pork loin and different soups that don't sound as appetizing.

Basically, I am not feeling like I or the family will wnjoy Boma so much now that we had to switch days. Can I get some food suggestions and reassurance that there will be plenty of great things to be eaten? Some specifics?

TIA

There is "always" something great to eat at Boma. There is pretty much always prime rib, if you are meat people. The soups are always varied and good as are the salads. And we have found the various fish selections to be very good.

Hmm and for dessert - to die for:worship:

I know Boma has certain items that only appear on certain nights. We'll be at Boma on Wednesday on our next trip, does anyone know what the lineup is for that night, especially meats and soups.

Shameless bump for my upcoming trip. :goodvibes Can any recent BOMA visitors confirm the rotation?

I emailed our conceirge last night to see what the Boma dinner menu is...they emailed me back just now...hope this helps everyone out

Ok here is his reply about the soups

Dumela! Nicki,

I called the kitchen and talked to one of our culinary team. He said
that there are 15 soups rotated over 3 days so that means the same soup
would be offered twice a week. However this far out it would be hard to
know when a particular soup would be offered since they change by 1 day
each week. They are all great though.

I wish that we had a better idea of what soups where offered each day. I really want to try the carrot soup!

The carrot soup is normally served Wednesdays and Saturdays. It is very filling. I like to get the soups from Mara and fill up just on those.

My advise would be to go to AK lodge on a Wednesday or Saturday. Ask the person at Boma's counter if you can walk into Boma and see what soups they have. See if they have the carrot soup or others you want to try. If Mara isn't too busy, they may be willing to get some soup from Boma for you at only $2.50 a cup.

sorry to get a bit off topic....but I'm thinking one of yo uBoma experts will know the answer! How easy is it/close to get to AK lodge from AK...and how long will it take? I'm wondering if it is close enough to walk? ...or if there is a bus, as it may not be as close to the park as I am thinking? Thanks!

You will need to bus. It's the closest resort, but its still a good distance away!

We are eating there on a Saturday and BOY am I excited for that carrot ginger soup!!!! And that Coconut Curry Chicken Stew! Not to mention the dessert bar!!!
