Billie - If they say they do not have availabilty on flights, how do you go about requesting those flights. My brother requested a flight that they said was not available and a day or two later they emailed him he was able to get it. When I asked about doing that they told me they don't do that. Can you give me some insight on this. Thank you Billie for all you do!
You say we E-MAILED him a few days later to let him know that his flight had become available? Wow... That's really blowing my mind. Honestly, I've never heard of anything like that, ever... And I was actually a specialist on the e-mail response team for nearly a year.
As far as requesting, well...

I'm going to give you guys some very much insider info here, but only because you're my fellow DISers and want you all to be able to make it to WDW for your magical vacations.
Seat Requests... There is a way, but it's certainly not garaunteed. If there isn't anything at all available for A+ Rewards seating on the date that you need, but you're willing to be flexable on the times, then try asking the agent to do a Seat Request. Seat Requests kind of have to be handled along the same lines as asking for a comp upgrade when you check-in for your hotel room at WDW... It's only a courtesy and most of the time can't be done, and you won't get anything if you make demands or are rude and belligerant. However...
If you you're extremely nice and polite to the agent and really plead a good case and get them on your side, they may be able to put in a request with a supervisor to attempt to free up some seats for your travel party. Agents are in no way required to do this, we're very much discouraged from it. (In fact, I myself very very rarely attempt them because I'm a stickler for policy.) On the same note, the supervisor who receives the request isn't required to process it by calling our Revenue department. Finally, the Revenue department is in no way obligated to approve the request. But it doesn't hurt to try.
And everybody, please don't spread that around too much! And I don't wanna hear any reports of people calling and saying, "But Billie said..." either!
