Free Flights on AirTran with cups at Wendy's

Stitch1404-Thanks for the heads up. I just called Airtran to redeem my vouchers and the entire day (Sunday) was not available for voucher travel. We can get flights the day before (not what I was hoping for) but they are either connecting flights or a nonstop that arrives at almost 10pm!

If you've got a voucher, you may want to get on the phone & get your flights in order, otherwise you may be surprised. My flights are at the end of June/early July. The weird thing is that I anticipated the July date to be gone but it wasn't.....hmmm?

I don't know about seats being released, but I do know that the availability changes a lot. I guess people make changes etc, and seats come open. If you still have several months until your trip, I'd definitely wait and keep calling. Call every day. Unless your trying to fly on a black out date, I would think its pretty likely something will come open, especially if you're flexible on the times. Airtran usually requires a 10 day advanced purchase on internet sales, so you could keep trying up until that day really.
 
Well, I just booked our travel, had to arrive a day earlier (oh shucks!) and take a flight with a long layover on the way back. The cs rep did say that with the vouchers I was redeeming (and maybe this is true for all A+ rewards travel-not sure) that you are allowed to make 1 change at no cost. After that 1 change if you try to make another there is the $50 fee.

She recommended calling daily & just asking to check the availability of a certain date/flight. If it becomes available we can make the change so that is good news!

Airtran usually requires a 10 day advanced purchase on internet sales, so you could keep trying up until that day really.
You can actually purchase tickets on Airtran flights leaving tomorrow via the internet. :)

Yeah, but you can't get the internet sale fare, which is usually the best deal they have. Normally they require a 10 day advanced purchase. Sorry, should have been more clear about what I meant. ::yes::

And yes, they do allow you one free change, so if you want to change to another flight if/when it comes available, you can do so once free of charge and any change after that is a $50 fee, like you mentioned.
 

I just realized that we can not use these for a family trip. I can only use them for my husband and I since the kids are not 18 yet.

You can put up to 2 RT (128) worth of coupons into your and DH's accounts each, and then book the kids with your rewards. That is assuming you only have 2 children. Otherwise you could book up to 4 and pay for any additional seats you need.

I mailed them in first class mail 1/3 and they posted 1/17. Not bad at all! Now, I have to wait for the next batch to post and I can make the reservations. Mailed those Priority Mail 1/13 let's see how long these take to post.

Our Disney trip is going to be SUPER CHEAP this year. Last year we bought the 10 day PH non-expiring. So, we have 6 days left on those tickets and our flights will be free (well super cheap). If Disney releases room only codes I will be up in the clouds!!!

correct. A husband and wife can both have an account, as long as they have different email addresses. Submit 128 to husbands account and 128 to wifes account.
 
I have 3 Airtran Flight Coupons from the Wendy cups...PM if you want them as I am not collecting them.
 
I need 12 more if anyone has them all 3 of my wendy's don't have them also I need the address anybody have it

I just posted on that website someone listed here looking for a few more coupons.
I sent for 2 RT tickets last week and got some more cups after I sent them out. I have 23 cups now and need 41 to get another RT ticket. It might be nice to get one for a friend to go with me so I thought I would try.
If anyone has any coupons they are not using please let me know. Peggie
 
I sent 32 coupons for me and 32 coupons for my husband in separate envelopes on 12/20. Mine posted in about 10 days. My husband's still hasn't posted. I sent some more since then, and they posted with no trouble.

Anybody else have trouble with their coupons getting posted? I suppose we have no recourse if they never do. Even if I had sent them with delivery confirmation, I couldn't prove how many were inside.

You can contact them, but they will tell you to please wait the required 6-8 weeks before inquiring. By then the promo is over and you have no chance if they were truly lost in the mail.

I have 3 coupons and I guess I am going to end up not using them, just called the only Wendys around me doing the promotion and they are fresh out of cups! DARN! If anyone needs three, let me know. ONLY if you are using them and not for Ebay!!

Hi. If you ever call AirTran Airways A+ Rewards department at 1-888-327-5878 and are greeted by "Billie," well... That's me. I'm a customer service agent for AirTran in their Special Services department on the A+ desk. All those little coupns ya'll are sending off to Savannah, GA? Yup, I (among many others in the department) am going to be sorting and processing those for many many weeks.

So far everything I've read in this thread seems to be true and correct, but admittedly I haven't had time to sit and read the entirely thoroughly.

I just thought I'd introduce myself. Please feel free to direct any questions/comments/concerns you may have to me via PM or in this forum, and I will do my very best to help you out as much as I can with insider information. :earsgirl: Now that I know it's here, I will be checking it daily to try to offer as much advice as I can!

Be sure to include a 3x5 index card with your name, A+ Rewards acct #, mailing address, and daytime phone number. :) All coupons must be received by Feb. 13, 2006! (Ironically, the day I head to WDW! LOL)
 
Hi Billie! And welcome to the AirTran thread. This cup collecting has been a lot of fun.

My question concerns the Feb 13th cutoff date. I know it's getting close now, and I wondered if you have heard how they will enforce the 'end' of this promotion.

Do all cup submissions have to be postmarked by 2/13 or received by 2/13. I know, it's just a few days difference ~ but it could make a big difference to those who are mailing them in just now.
