Resort Thread Disney's CONTEMPORARY Resort

So what is the atrium level? And club level? What’s so special about it?

Is the pool that’s under construction through May 2026 the one that is connected with the main tower ?

Page 1, post #10 focuses on the CR CL

No The Bay Cove Pool, and the water play area and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower the DVC Building north of the CR A-frame Tower and it will be closed January 26, 2026 Through Early May 2026.

I'm not sure if this is appropriate place to put these questions. If they need to go somewhere else, please let me know.

We're staying at BLT in June in two rooms (NOT DVC). It's been 10+(?) years since we've stayed there.
1) Do we check in at CR? I assume 'yes'.
2) Can we drop off food the day before to be delivered on check in day? I assume 'no'.
3) Does Bell Service have a refrigerator and/or freezer to store perishable goods if we check in before the rooms are ready? I assume 'yes'.

TIA.

I am not sure about 1 or 2, but know 3 is yes

Just back from our 25th anniversary trip at the Contemporary Tower CL. We had the most amazing trip!! We stayed in one of the 2 king tower rooms and it did not disappoint! We were in room 4911 right next to the lounge so super convenient for us.

The food offerings were very good. I'll post some pics as well as cross post this to the Contemporary thread. We've stayed at several CLs and especially love the Poly but as everyone knows it can be crowded there lol. Well, most days we saw no one in the lounge at all! It was so crazy to never see anyone, it was like the whole place was for us.

The cast members were all wonderful and we did several cast compliments, but I have to give a shout out to Jackie who went above and beyond for us for our anniversary. She was so kind and helpful and we loved chatting with her.

Any questions, let me know and I'll post pics shortly!

Glad you had a good time. Sounds like a great trip. Thanks for all the pics. Looking forward to seeing more. 😊

Btw, do you happen to remember what day or the week your first pictures are from?

Thank you! It was a great trip! The first pics with the salmon and avocado toast was last Sunday but I think every day had avocado toast, boiled eggs, fruit, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. In breakfast rotation was potato barrels, nutella crepe with bananas foster, and some sort of egg frittata. Evenings were veggies, sushi, cheese and meat, in rotation was a pasta dish, meatballs, flank steak with chimichurri, mojo pork, chicken nuggets, watermelon-feta salad, citrus shrimp, lemon panzanella salad and orzo salad. Afternoons were pretzels, goldfish, veggies, uncrustables, and cookies. Desserts were cookies, macrons, assorted tarts and oreo and tiramisu dessert shots plus alcohol lol!

Ha! we were in that exact same room yesterday night, checked out this morning for the Wilderness Lodge. Wonderful room as far as location is concerned. Very convenient to grab food and drinks from the lounge, and you get the exact same fireworks view.

Of course the “Edna mode” rehab is a hard fail, the room shows wear and tear everywhere, the sliding door of the bathroom is poorly mounted (you can clearly spot screws/the actual ceiling), the door of the closet doesn't close (it's one inch too large at least), and funniest Disney design ever, you can see who's on the bed when you're sitting on the toilet and the door is open (and of course you can assume the opposite is true because of how mirrors work).
Thanks god Disney is an entertainment company, not one building houses for profit.

Sarcasm aside, would gladly come back here (but not more than one night, and at the cheapest price possible because it's not worth it, it's only expensive because it's scarce).

What a coincidence!
I agree about the convenience factor here. I thought the Edna Mode theming was less in your face than the other rooms so I liked it. I didn’t notice all of the flaws you mentioned except for the closet door. Hopefully they get that fixed soon. Hope you had a great trip!

Thanks, a wonderful trip indeed. We're closing the loop of the Club Levels on the monorail loop we're missing. First time in Tower Club, amazing experience. Will post shortly about this trip on the CL thread!
Hope yours was fantastic as well!

I still dream about the little avocado toasts 😭 I ate them every morning on our trip last year!

Yes! I loved those and had them everyday. My BF was several cappuccinos (love the nespresso), the avocado toast, and bacon yum!
In the evening, I also loved the sushi with the soy wrap and the chicken breast nuggets lol!! I've missed those!

We returned from our trip earlier this week and had a great time. We had stayed at BLT about 10yrs ago, but never at CR. We were in the garden wing and found the location to be good. Very convenient to the pool and only a few min walk to the main building. I did request a 1st floor, which was granted. We were facing the lake side and could see the WL boats go by. I’d say our room was about half way down the middle section and was quiet. Now one day I was on the patio and turned around to a black snake blocking my door! I may have jumped over the bushes and ran around the building to get back to my room 😂😂😂. The garden wing was also very convenient to have the laundry room in our building. There was maybe ever one other person in there when we used it (about 3x, once just to dry some wet shoes 😆). We did not feel left out staying in GW. The only thing I wish was that I had a bathtub to soak my back and feet, but we just went to the hot tub at night instead as it was just a minute walk.

Transportation was really good. We had great luck leaving the parks with busses. Every time we walked to the bus stop a bus was already there waiting! I’d say the Epcot monorail transfer was kind of a pain and took the longest time. A few times we just left out the IG exit at Epcot and caught a Lyft at the beach club back to CR rather than walk all the way back to the front.

Food was great. We ate at S71 and a few times at the bar. The burger was my husband favorite and the bartenders were so fun! My teenage son had a blast sitting with us and chatting with the other adults. Contemporary cafe had pretty good food too! The breakfast burrito and the Italian beef sandwich were my favorites from there.

My son ended up liking the circle pool better than the main pool. He said the main pool had too many little kids and the slide was too slow…. There was barely anyone at the circle pool, so it was easy to find a spot in the shade and for him to swim. I will say our last 2 days there were a lot of bugs in the pool and my son wouldn’t go in. My husband said it looked as though the skimmer was full or not working. It had just rained pretty hard so maybe that was why so many bugs?

Happy to answer any questions anyone may have!
