Free Flights on AirTran with cups at Wendy's

If it were up to me, you would all have your credits posted within 24 hours, there would be no wait or holding times ever, and every agent would be pleasant as peach pie. :) This, of course, is why I'm not a manager and only a mere agent. :rotfl2:

I think the 8 day turn around on mine was INCREDIBLE! The hold times were never more than a minute or two (and I called quite a few times with all my asinine questions!) and EVERY single agent I spoke with WAS as "pleasant as peach pie"!!!!

:cheer2: BRAVO Air Tran! It takes a LOT to renew a travel agent's opinion of airlines - you are now on the top of my list!!! :cheer2:

I have friends who have worked in the customer service field and it seems like they are always dealing with people who are mad at them. No one ever told them they were doing a great job. I have never met you, Billie, but thanks for keeping a good attitude about your job! I have never flown Airtran, but I will when my credits post and your comments, plus other comments I have heard already have a positive picture in my mind about Airtran. Thanks.

QUESTION: Are there people working all hours of the day on this or are coupons only being counted during normal business hours? The reason I ask is that I am watching for some credits to post and I am wondering if it could happen at any time or only during "normal business hours". If it is only during the day, I will stop watching in the evening and weekends.... Thanks again! You have really helped make this wait better sharing the inside information.

Happy Monday!

I know its not very many but if anyone needs just a few youre welcome to them.

just let me know

like I said its only 3 but Id still hate to have them go to waste :teeth:

When do these coupons from the cups have to be mailed in by..what date???

I'm still looking for cups in my area. :rotfl:

They stopped selling them on 12/31 OR when they ran out of them. There are some reports that some Wendy's had them until the 10th or so, but I have not heard of any Wendy's that have them anymore.

The official rules state they have to be RECEIVED by Airtran by Feb 13th. You should definitely give yourself enough lead time via USPS or another carrier to get them there by that time.

Have a good one.

Just FYI to help with timing and all:

I sent my coupons in by Priority Mail flat-rate envelope this past Friday Jan 20 (Cost= $4.05). And they were received today, Monday Jan 23rd. They haven't been posted to my account yet, but at least they are "in" by the date.

So that extra few dollars may be worth it for last-minute submissions.

Just a little bit short of enough for a free plane ticket?

Here's one possibility if you're just 24 cups away from reaching the magic 64 number:

You could apply for an AirTran Visa card.

1) Get 6 Credits= 24 Coupons
First, they give you 6 A+ Rewards credits, which equals the same as having 24 cup coupons, for getting the Visa card and using it 1 time.

2) Get 1 Credit = 4 coupons:
Then, you get 1 more credit (equals 4 cups) for every $1,000 in charges you make.

3) Get more credits:
Earn one point per $1 in balances transferred to your AirTran Airways A+ Visa requested in the first 30 days after you open your account, up to a maximum of 10,000 points. (Not sure how many points = 1 credit?!?)

Here's the catch: there's an annual fee of $39

So this may not be a solution for many. But if you're just two dozen or so cups short from being able to get a $600 cross-country airline ticket for free, that fee may not matter much to you.

Just thought I'd put it as a reminder in case someone almost has enough cups and is considering quitting. There still may be hope!!!

Here's where I got this information:* AIRTRAN VISA LINK *

Well, YAY! This make very very happy, indeed. :) When I left work tonight at 9:00 pm, the average hold time was about 12 minutes, and had been for about the previous 2 hours. LOL Consider yourself lucky! :rotfl:

Aww, it does my heart good to hear that! Who knows... Maybe when you call to book your travel using your coupons, maybe you'll get lucky and get to work with me over the phone! ;) Or even my domestic partner, Crystal (pictured in my sig with me), as she also works in the same department with me.

As far as the data entry goes, I know it's being done 7-days-a-week, but typically not into the wee hours of the morning. Our office operates from 6:00 am until 1:00 am EST, so it would be during those hours some time.... But more likely between 8:00 am and 11:00 pm. Still a broad range of times, I know, but at least you'll know when to check and when not to waste your time. :p And trust me, I wish I could make this happen for ya faster. If there was some way for me to trace your coupons and give you a leg up and get them in faster, I would!

Hi,
Can somebody post again the name of the website where you can see who is selling AirTran coupons? I had it and have been there but can't seem to find the address now.
Thanks so much,
Sharon

Using the AirTran Visa card issued by Juniper Bank, 1,000 Visa "points" equal 1 AirTran flight "credit." Basically, all that means is that within 30 days of obtaining it, you can do balance transfers of up to $10,000 to your AirTran card and still accrue points at the same rate you would as if you were making new purchases. :cutie:

LOL, I just had a vision of you diving into a mail bin looking for my coupons.... nice swan dive! :rotfl2:

Have a good one!

I have 3 coupons..

Dznypal...I sent you a PM about the coupons.

Billie, it's great to have accurate information by someone in the know. Thanks for posting information on this board. Question:

If someone sends in coupons via USPS Certified mail that USPS shows as delivered, and something happens that the credits don't get posted by AirTran, is the Certified Mail receipt sufficient proof to get the credits posted?

Thanks.

Billie - If they say they do not have availabilty on flights, how do you go about requesting those flights. My brother requested a flight that they said was not available and a day or two later they emailed him he was able to get it. When I asked about doing that they told me they don't do that. Can you give me some insight on this. Thank you Billie for all you do!

Well, it will certainly give you a leg to stand on. While it won't be able to prove how many you sent, it will prove that AirTran did receive them, so if they are lost it's AirTran's fault. How it would proceed from that point, I really don't know. I'm sorry.

Billie

I have to correct my above story to say my brother had to call back for two days once he had put in his request. But was able to get it

You say we E-MAILED him a few days later to let him know that his flight had become available? Wow... That's really blowing my mind. Honestly, I've never heard of anything like that, ever... And I was actually a specialist on the e-mail response team for nearly a year.

As far as requesting, well... :rolleyes1 I'm going to give you guys some very much insider info here, but only because you're my fellow DISers and want you all to be able to make it to WDW for your magical vacations.

Seat Requests... There is a way, but it's certainly not garaunteed. If there isn't anything at all available for A+ Rewards seating on the date that you need, but you're willing to be flexable on the times, then try asking the agent to do a Seat Request. Seat Requests kind of have to be handled along the same lines as asking for a comp upgrade when you check-in for your hotel room at WDW... It's only a courtesy and most of the time can't be done, and you won't get anything if you make demands or are rude and belligerant. However...

If you you're extremely nice and polite to the agent and really plead a good case and get them on your side, they may be able to put in a request with a supervisor to attempt to free up some seats for your travel party. Agents are in no way required to do this, we're very much discouraged from it. (In fact, I myself very very rarely attempt them because I'm a stickler for policy.) On the same note, the supervisor who receives the request isn't required to process it by calling our Revenue department. Finally, the Revenue department is in no way obligated to approve the request. But it doesn't hurt to try.

And everybody, please don't spread that around too much! And I don't wanna hear any reports of people calling and saying, "But Billie said..." either! ;)

Ahh. Okay, that makes more sense. :)

Thank you Billie. I really appreciate your getting back to me so soon.
thanks again

Hi.

I was going to go and request my vouchers, I am going to Request Rewards. I have 32 credits (should be enough for 2 round trip tickets) and the only option that I see for 16 credits is the One-way AirTran Business Class Ticket.

Am I in the wrong spot?

Jess
