The journal is a great idea! I was going to take pics- but I like the idea of making notes about the plants, like the names and how they do in the spots I plant them in. Even if they get any insects- etc.

I am scared b/c I bought 2 climbing rose bushes. I know they can be a bit needy- I told the girl I am not good at taking care of things so what rose can I plant that will not need much attention She told me the ones I bought are hardy- however, any rose can be susceptible to disease etc- so she gave me something to spray on it after I plant it- she said it is good for anything I plant. Crossing my fingers the roses work out OK. I have one already but it never really flowers much.

But thanks for the journal suggestion- I am going to do that!

Anyone else suffering from allergies this spring? I feel terrible. I woke up this morning unable to breathe through my nose but the second I got out of bed it started running and hasn't quit. Plus my eyes are all burny too. I never had problems my whole life until the last couple of years and I have always worked outside so I don't know what has changed. Kentucky is one of the worst places for pollen in the spring so I guess I will suffer for a while longer. DH is having the same problem but he has always had allergies.

My allergies get worse with every year. Benedryl no longer works for me, nor does the Tylenol Allergy stuff. Stuff, runny nose, watery eyes, oh, yes, I am a pretty sight.

Hey guys! Just a quick hello and to tell you to check for Houseparty emails...the SC Johnson is open! I'm a big fat loser, but maybe you all won't be...I don't seem to get in any lately...oh well, I will continue to drink margaritas, clean my house, and eat Kraft food whether they send it to me for free or not! HA, that'll show them!

Marna- I am allergic to anything and everything 24/7- 365 days a year, except food- I have no food allergies.

Ever since I was 21, I been through years of allergy tests, shots, pills, inhalers, sprays, tons of doctors.

The ONLY thing has ever helped me is steriod nasal sprays.

But not all of them work for me- years ago I took Beconase, it helped and of course, they stopped making it. Nothing has worked too well since then, except now!!!

I started taking Veramyst a few months ago and OMG! I am like a new person! I can actually breath out of my nose all the time, smell things and taste my food!

I know I sound like a commercial but this stuff is like a miracle for me!

Hey madd, is veramyst an over the counter drug? I wouldn't mind grabbing something to try, but neither DH nor myself are going to go to the Dr. to get a scrip for something. By the time I got around to going, allergy season would be over.

I'm still bummed about the house parties too, hadleysun. Not only did I not get in, but they didn't even bother sending me a rejection notice this time. But, like you, I'll continue drinking my margaritas anyway. We'll show 'em!!!!!

No Marna- it is not OTC You need a rx.

But- they do have some of the nasal steriod sprays you can get OTC- you might want to try one of those if pills are not doing the job.

You might also want to try adding a nasal spray decongestant too, until the steriods kick in.

Hi y'all. I'm sorry I've been neglecting you guys. I got totally disgusted with a thread I was involved in on Friday night, the poster that was infuriating me finally posted something so inappropriate that I just had to YAGE the thread and walk away from my computer for the entire weekend. It actually felt good! I didn't even come back to lurk around til yesterday evening. I wish I could say that I caught up on a bunch of stuff, but I didn't. I am so tired of all the drama on the Dis. I wish we could turn back the calendar to a month ago.

So anyway, I got an interesting package yesterday. It was a DHL (or whatever that carriers name is-not FedEx) letter, and when I opened it up there was a letter from AAA congratulating me on winning a contest I had entered. I won 4-4 day passes to WDW!! Pretty cool! Except here is me looking the gift horse in the mouth. They are one park per day tix and we have never done that. So I can see about upgrading them, or we can try to do it one park a day. either way, I don't have to buy more tix for our trip in December!

Oh HRH, that is great!! I'm glad I (kinda) know someone who won something cool!! I'm with you there about the YAGE; sometimes I can't figure folks out. Glad you made it back to us today!

WAYYYYYYY Cool!!!! Congrats- heck I can deal with one park a day for free tix!!!!!

Think of it as an adventure- this way you can go out and explore other things- like more time @ DTD, maybe go see a movie @ Fort Wilderness (do they show a movie in December?) Go see all the xmas decorations at all the resorts, watch Wishes from the Poly beach- there is a whole world no pun intended, waiting for you outside of the parks!

Anyone else have suggestions for HRH!

Oh BTW- what was the crazy thread about- I thought they did away with that kinda thing

I only won one cool prize that I remember- does anyone remember those places called "Photomat"?? Those tiny free standing photo places where you drop off and pick up your film- I filled out something there and won this trip to Washington DC at this awesome hotel- It was so long ago, but I remember the word Grand was in it It had a door man and a concierge-

DH and I were just kids in the ritzy hotel in DC, we thought it was so cool- but it was so much fun seeing DC!
