Hey guys! Just a quick hello and to tell you to check for Houseparty emails...the SC Johnson is open! I'm a big fat loser, but maybe you all won't be...I don't seem to get in any lately...oh well, I will continue to drink margaritas, clean my house, and eat Kraft food whether they send it to me for free or not! HA, that'll show them! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I will be a a loser with you.:rotfl2:

So anyway, I got an interesting package yesterday. It was a DHL (or whatever that carriers name is-not FedEx) letter, and when I opened it up there was a letter from AAA congratulating me on winning a contest I had entered. I won 4-4 day passes to WDW!! Pretty cool! Except here is me looking the gift horse in the mouth. They are one park per day tix and we have never done that. So I can see about upgrading them, or we can try to do it one park a day. either way, I don't have to buy more tix for our trip in December!

Yay for me!!:yay:
Good for you. That is so cool. :cool1: :cheer2: :dance3:
For free tixs I would be okay without park hopping.

WAYYYYYYY Cool!!!! Congrats- heck I can deal with one park a day for free tix!!!!!:cool1:

Think of it as an adventure- this way you can go out and explore other things- like more time @ DTD, maybe go see a movie @ Fort Wilderness (do they show a movie in December?) Go see all the xmas decorations at all the resorts, watch Wishes from the Poly beach- there is a whole world;) no pun intended, waiting for you outside of the parks!:yay:

Anyone else have suggestions for HRH!

Oh BTW- what was the crazy thread about- I thought they did away with that kinda thing:rolleyes1

I love downtown Disney. Also like Madd said check out all the xmas decortions. They do great Gingerbread houses inside the hotels

Best thing I ever won- 2 tickets 2nd row to Rod Stewart!!:cool1: It was awesome!! His sweat was flicking everywhere- some landed on my arm...:lovestruc .

Sounds like a monorail crawl might be in order :thumbsup2

Not something I exactly "won", but something cool.....My hubby and I decided to go to Orlando just for one night without the kiddies and go to DTD and whoop it up at PI...well, we got to the Hilton and since we're honors members we asked for our upgrade and the guy said, "Sure, let me see whats available." Then he hands us our key and says have a nice time....So we go up to find our room and we're walking and walking and walking till we think there's no more rooms, but there is these huge double doors at the end of the hall....???....we look at each other (like NO WAY!)...and sure enough that was our room! It was an enormous suite with a giant dining room and patio looking out on Orlando! We could have had such a party in there! After a second of    THE DOORBELL RINGS! YES THE DOORBELL! I started screeching "We've got a DOORBELL!" It was just our luggage, but we had the best night ever! Traversed all of the bars at DTD on the way to PI and then stumbled back to our BIG@$$ SUITE!

Now everytime we drive past the Hilton, my hubby points up to the balcony and says to the kids, "Did we ever tell you about the time mommy and I stayed in that suite?" And we get a chorus of "YES DAD, YOU HAVE!" Followed by endless eyerolling...

hrh-Congrats! That's an awesome prize.:cheer2: I don't think it would be too hard not to have the park hoppers since you know in advance and can plan accordingly for ADR's, etc. I have never won anything remotely cool. I have entered raffles from the HS band or boy scouts where they are giving away tons of good stuff....tvs, shotguns(this is Ky you know:lmao: ), UK basketball tickets(see previous item:rotfl2: ). And you know what I have won over the years? A carton of Pepsi(which I hate) and a ceramic horse with a dress on!!!:rotfl: It was the funniest thing I have ever seen, but, unlike the infamous Freap sweater, I did not keep the ugly thing around to look at.:lmao: I did win tickets to see Allison Krauss with Union Station which was the best thing I have ever won I guess.

Oh BTW- what was the crazy thread about- I thought they did away with that kinda thing:rolleyes1

It was the thread about the little girl almost losing her arm to a pit bull attack, the final straw was someone posting a link to their "pro pit bull" thread...too much..the thread is still there, with an update that the little girl's arm is still pink, and she has gone home...looking towards a lot of reconstructive surgery on her face and other areas in her future. A lot of inappropriate posting on that thread. IMHO.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I was thinking I would just try to credit the amount to the tickets I always buy, 10 day non expiring PH with extras, I dunno what I will do yet. I looked up the price on the Disney site, they are worth over $800!!! I never won a prize where I should think about declaring it on my taxes before!! I told DH, he was thoroughly UNDERwhelmed. I just pointed out that was $800 he didn't have to pay for tix, then he was like, OK-whatever...

ugh! Men!:sad2:

My DH is not a big Disney fan- I said to him, "WHAT IF we won a trip to Disney would you go then?"- he said, "No".

I think he does that crap to torture me!:rotfl2:

John would cry if I won those. It would mean he had to go back again.:rotfl2: He only goes because I like to.

We're going next March and I was planning to fly out of Evansville, but the tickets were $490 per person.:scared1:

I looked at tickets out of Louisville and they are $260 per person. :yay: Unfortunately, that means were need to be at the Louisville airport about 4:30 am. :headache:

Let me tell you- go for the 260.00 and the 4:30 am right now!!! It will only get worse!

Heck I would deal with rising early to save 230.00 bucks!!:scared1:

I'm definately going to buy them in the next couple of weeks. It will save us $700. Fortunately, my father-in-law lives about an hour from there. We'll probably spend the night before we leave there. We have friends that live in Louisville, but we are not going to spend the night at their house again. We would like to keep them as friends and I don't think that's going to happen if I have to not get fed and then sleep on their love seat again. They are wonderful people, but terrible hosts.

:lmao: Too late! I had to beep him as soon as I saw the price!!!! I was in shock!!!:scared1:
Always post here first before telling hubby:rotfl2:

Ice Road Truckers Houseparty emails are out.
Oh Yeah I got in that one. John is doing this:dance3: :dance3:
While I am doing this:scared:

Can you guys tell me about these houseparties? Yeah, I know Johnnie-come lately, but do you actually have to have a house party, like people over in your house to show them the stuff you got and share it, or do you just sign up and keep it all for yourself? Yeah, that's my mentality..shoot me...

:lmao:

:lmao:

It depends on the party. I have had people come to my house and other times I've sent the things in the mail and other times I've kept it all to my little greedy self.
