I'm considering maybe adding on at CCV and trying to figure out how many points I would need. How easy/hard is it to book a studio at the 11 month mark for a 4 night stay the first weekend of December? Is it next to impossible if I'm unwilling to walk the reservation?

Also wondering how the lines for the boat are like at the end of the night if I wait half an hour or so after park close to leave.

It’s hard, but not impossible. I got it every year I tried, but I had to be there when the booking window opened. Once I didn’t get it but was able to book it later by stalking the website. Last time I tried a studio it was available for like 20-30 minutes for the first week of December. Since then I’ve moved to 1BRs and even those can be tricky.

While not impossible, I wouldn’t count on having a studio in December every year. If that’s a dealbreaker then CCV might not be the best option.

I have a Grand Californian ornament that is shaped like the resort. Do they have a Wilderness Lodge one like that? If so, is it only available around Christmas? We only go in January.

Resort ornaments are avaialbe year round.

I feel a groupie meet coming on!!

Alas, we will not be there in Dec this year. Our DGD usually has her dance recitals sometime 1st 2 weeks in Dec and we are planning trip with Will and Liz(some may remember them from previous groupie meets)to DL in Oct., so a trip that close back to back would be to close together.

If a groupie meet is in the works, we shall be there in Spirit!
