Hey! Did I miss out on the cake? Those look awesome. I'm planning an easier one for DD's b-day next week. She is still all into the princesses so I'm going to try the crown one that was in the Family Fun magazine a while back. It doesn't look "too" hard for my very limited cake decorating skills. If I'm not ashamed, I'll post a pic as well. DD will be turning five, and she obviously is taking after her mommy's expensive taste in food. I asked what she wanted to eat and first she said lobster but luckily I convinced her shrimp would be just as good.

She also wants artichokes. Her and DS both love those things. I just steam them and they dip the leaves in garlic lemon butter. Now tell me what kind of 3 and 4 year old want lobster and artichokes for their birthdays?

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not!
Did you all watch the Derby?

It was such a sad event. Of course I was rooting for the filly which made it even more sad. I tried not to make too big a deal out of it because I didn't want the kids to notice. They are still young enough I could pull it off.
