Very nice cakes. It makes me feel badly. My DD's birthday is Sunday, she will be 15! I am going to make the cake tomorrow, and trust me, it will look nothing like yours.

We will have DD's party later in the summer, when it is warmer and the kids can swim.

Happy Early Bday to your DD. I am sure your cake will be lovely

Good Morning Everyone,

It's a rainy day here - not sure that we will be heading out to baseball...Last night I got some very beautiful violets delivered to me - they were from AlexWyattMommy. Now whenever I am missing my Violet I can look at my very own little bunch of violets.:goodvibes

Flower make me soooo happy. I am looking outside at all of my tulips (the ones that the squirrels so graciously left behind) and the dafodils are just so darned optimistic...they just make me happy, happy, happy

:cutie: Okay all today was LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.... But we had a very lovely time. We froze our butts off as it was an outside party. Natalie just had a blast. Here is a picture of the eiffel tower cake my friend made for Natalie. She was so shocked as we didn't tell her that it was coming.:cutie:

Glad your cutie had a great b-day!! You deserve a rest day ;) .

Hey! Did I miss out on the cake? Those look awesome. I'm planning an easier one for DD's b-day next week. She is still all into the princesses so I'm going to try the crown one that was in the Family Fun magazine a while back. It doesn't look "too" hard for my very limited cake decorating skills. If I'm not ashamed, I'll post a pic as well. DD will be turning five, and she obviously is taking after her mommy's expensive taste in food. I asked what she wanted to eat and first she said lobster but luckily I convinced her shrimp would be just as good. :rotfl2: She also wants artichokes. Her and DS both love those things. I just steam them and they dip the leaves in garlic lemon butter. Now tell me what kind of 3 and 4 year old want lobster and artichokes for their birthdays?:confused3 I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not!:lmao:

Did you all watch the Derby?:sad2: It was such a sad event. Of course I was rooting for the filly which made it even more sad. I tried not to make too big a deal out of it because I didn't want the kids to notice. They are still young enough I could pull it off.

Marna- I did not watch it- but! I will have to say you have more compassion than MY mother who had to tell ME all about it!:lmao: :sad1: I guess she thinks I am old enough to handle that kind of news......You would think she knew me by now!!!:rolleyes1

I yelled- "MOM! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO TELL ME THIS STUFF???????????!!!":guilty: :sad1:

Marna I bet your cake will come out better than mine. I have no clue how to do cakes. My dad used to do amazing cakes.
I did watch the derby it was very sad.

My eldest wants a whole lobster for his birthday. He said he only turns double digits once and he wants to celebrate it right. :rotfl2:
He also prefers white sauce & spinach on his pizza. And I can't even think about ordering artichoke & spinach dip without offering him some.
My youngest prefers the shimp & crab legs. But don't give him anything green. :lmao:

Okay so does someone want to tell me what happened to the school year.
Shaunna is moving home from colleg on Tuesday and I forgot. WTH.
I normally do something big for her to welcome her back home and have nothing planned.
I was telling John how I messed up and he said no I have other things to deal with and he has me covered. He booked some girl time at a local spa for us. Good thing he is on top of things

Quick fly by.....

Happy Birthday! The cakes look Maaaaaaaavelous!

Derby - very very sad, I couldn't believe it and kept thinking barbaro all over again. Madd....thought of you but didn't think you would watch the races. Makes me think that maybe the races are cruel but I don't know enough to make that call. I do know those animals are treated like royalty (at least some of the time).

Tinkerbean - :grouphug: You've been on my mind the last few days.

Shay - I'm glad Johns got your back....you've got too much going on up front to have to watch both sides  It's amazing how fast the year went though!

Hey everyone. We had a great time yesterday. We loved the cakes and yea her expression was priceless. I just heard about the derby how sad. I am just taking it easy today as I have to make a pokemon cake in a few days for my nephews party this weekend. He begged me to do it yesterday.
I know I can not believe the school year is already over but DD still has school she is homeschooled. I know poor thing.:) I hope everyone is having a relaxing night and I will check in later. :cutie:

Ugh- I hate Sundays. I always did- when I was a kid, it was school the next day, now I am a big girl, it is work the next day...nothing has changed!:guilty:

Will I ever love Sundays again......:confused3 :rotfl2:

I went hog wild today at the landscaping place!

I have most of my beds planned out- and I am trying to buy flowers for one bed every few weeks, this is getting costly! But it is gonna look good- probably in 2 years...after eveything grows and fills in

But at least I am now DOING it instead of PLANNING to do it (like I have been for the past 2 years!). That has to count for something!:thumbsup2

Be sure to keep a journal/scrapbook/running digital picture log of your landscaping adventures so you can see the before & after and bask in the warmth of your skills :thumbsup2 I can't wait till I have killed off all the brush crud growing in our yard and have the time to plan out flower beds and vegetables I want to grow and herbs and....... But for now it will have to be sports practices, art lessons, pottery classes, and such. I love being a mom but how come nobody warns you about all the WORK :headache: But I look at the great kids we have and listen to the compliments about their manners and how they are and what they go and it makes me   so it is all worth it and good.

Good morning Freaps!!! Where is everyone?:confused3 The weather is still beautiful here and so I got a few things planted yesterday. DH has my garden all tilled and ready to go but I am afraid to plant too much just yet. I still remember a couple years ago when it got down in the teens one night in May.:scared1: I'm getting antsy though and am dying to get my tomatoes out.
