Fall 2008 PIs

I had my first interview as well, yesterday (feb.20) 1pm!!! My info as well was sent to the hiring leaders!!!! Applied for Epcot sciences and Animal Kingdom sciences. I have been getting emails mostly everyday from both departments, about sending information (transcripts, recommendations). So I going assume, this a good thing that I have been getting contacted!!!

Is their anyone else that have applied for science departments????

I actually just worked a career fair with two of the people in charge of the Epcot Science internships...they say the most important thing they look for in a candidate is a genuine interest in the sciences, not just Disney. They said while they appreciate people who love Disney, they want to hear why you want to do that specific internship, what you would like to take away from it, and not just how you want to get your foot in Disney's door. They also said to be very energetic when you interview-apparently they get a lot of people who sound almost bored with the interview process. They're very nice people so hopefully they'll be the hiring leaders that you interview with.

im excited i got that email also.. about moving on. I wonder if we start hearing after the deadline or maybe before.

actually i got 2 of those emails and i thought it was a glitch until i realized that one was for a summer internship i applied for.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the boards, but I have also applied for the College Program and 3 PIs. I received a call today to go over the Disney look, etc and will be having my first PI interview on Wednesday!!

Does anyone have any advice on the questions that are asked- are they more general, about Disney, about me..and do you know about how long this interview usually lasts??

I applied for professional internships on February 10th and I received my first phone call yesterday. It was the Disney look, have you worked with us before, when can you interview phone call. I have my interview, which I am guessing will be a screening interview, tomorrow.

I applied February 12th and still havent heard anything! I am really starting to get nervous.

I wonder if its because I only applied to two, instead of three internships. Could that be a possibility?

I applied on Feb. 6th, for Epcot Sciences and Animal Kingdom Sciences!!! I received an email, about a week later from both program about qualifications and what to send them!!!! The email from the programs came before, I even had my first interviewed which was just last week on Feb. 20th at 1pm!!!! They do call and set-up a phone interview I chose my time as well. The first is pretty much basic ( why you want to work for disney and if you are disney material). I have completed the animal kingdom process and should know by May 1st (which is last b/c I applied for CP program as well). I have not received a 2nd phone interview yet, but my application was forwarded to the hiring leaders!!! If, you guys have any questions, I will try answer the best of my ability!!!

I'm not going to apply for a PI until May of 09, but thought it couldn't hurt to ask questions now. I did the CP from January 07 - August 07 and worked Custodial at EPCOT and Test Track. My dream is to work for Disney once I am completely down with college. In May 09, I should be graduating with my bachelor's degree in Accounting so that is what I would like to do a PI in. I am however in a 5 yr program at my school where I go straight into my M.B.A. after I get my Bachelors, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me, if Disney would consider hiring someone into a full time position after they finish their MBA, if they had done a PI in the past. It is kind of confusing for me and I need to talk to my school to even see if it would be possible to delay beginning my MBA so I could do a PI.

Applied: January 24, 2008 and received a call about 2 weeks later (Got my first call on January 31st and first interview on February 7th)

Good luck!!! I just received an email to have my 2nd interview!!! So I guess I passed the screening!!! Second interview, march 7th at 1pm!!! Its been a long process

I just had my first interview (after that 1st screening call). It's not bad at all, all the usual interview questions. I know what's going to kill me is the WAIIIITTING! The woman I interviewed with said that we will NOT hear back before the dealine posted on line and I'm definitely a planner so this is so tough!

Don't worry, I havebeen waiting for aleast 2 weeks, so I know how you feel!!! I'm still waiting on a reply for CP Program as well!!! Just in case I don't get in PI program!!!
