Fall 2008 PIs

I never received a phone call for a screening interview for the Media Relations PI for June through January. I'm guessing that means I wont get one. I submitted my application on January 31st.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to try my luck with the casting center when we go down in May.

Oh well...:sad1:

Good luck to those who've gone farther than I have!

I just got off the phone for the 1st screen interview...
right after that, I got an e-mail stating to fill out the form..
I located the from, but I don't see any address to mail this to...
Some people here said that after completing the form, I need to mail this..
I am worried that I am missing something...
if anyone knows, please let me know....

Hey, I was just wondering when you applied if you don't mind me asking!

Here you go, good luck by the way::thumbsup2

Do I need to mail my resume along with the application?

On Friday I had a screening interview but it turned out to be for a job that I pulled my application for already. It was Disney's mistake oops. Although, for everyone who applied for theatre production roles or event planning type roles, my interviewer said they seem to be taking their time. So if you haven't heard anything yet, don't be too alarmed.

Do I need to mail my resume along with the application?

i just mailed the application, the programs (Epcot and Animal Kingdom) both emailed, on what information they wanted to complete my process!!! Every program has different requirements and qualifications. I was mostly ask to send a copy of my transcript, resume, cover letter of positions I wanted, electrically!!1

Thank-you for your response...Did you mail the application for each program you applied for, which in your case 2 applications or just one application...and
Were you asked to send a copy of the trascript, resume, cover letter of positions through e-mail or after completing the application online or when you were doing the screening interview...Since I wasn't asked or didn't see that kind of requirements, I was just wondering, kinda worrying that I am missing something....
Sorrry for bothering you too much..

Thank-you:)

Your welcome, ask all the questions you want we are all going through together!!! Believe me, you are not bothering me at all. I sent one application, which was the one after the first interview, they need the main application, so it can be processed. Doesn't matter how many PI programs you applied for, sign and send the application(disney will not process the application, without a signature, near end of page). The programs you applied to in my case (Epcot and Animal Kingdom), will contact you, on what information, they need from you. An example,- Epcot needed an official transcript, resume, cover letters, and letter of recommendation, while Animal Kingdom wanted just a transcript electrionally. So it depends on your program.

For cover letter, I had to apply for each position I wanted at Epcot!! Hope that helps you, its a long process, I'm already on 2nd interview with animal kingdom on next friday!!! Good luck, and if you have any more questions, let me know!!!:cool1:

Hello everyone! I am currently a manager at Disney who did the Spring 2007 internship and was then offered a permanent position. First of all, the wait is terrible and long. However, I don't think anyone actually waited until May28th for the answer. What I do know is that some of my fellow PI's told me that they were hired at the last minute when others backed out and whatever. For the first round picks, almost everyone knew the answer by the first or second week of April. It is going to vary some for different positions because each area does their own interviewing. Usually after you go through the screening interview and the casting interview, you will be forwarded to the areas you applied for assuming they think you are qualified from the first two interviews. I applied for three positions but they only considered me for one of them. Luckily I got it because that was the only one that I was forwarded to after the first two interviews. Hang in there. It seems like forever but it will pay off.

For those who applied for the CP and PI, I did that too. Even if you get picked to do a CP first, that does not ruin your chances for the PI. My CP came through really early and I just called them when I found out about the PI and told them I would not be participating. It was as simple as that. Hang on to the CP acceptance until you find out about the PI. PI is the best to get if you can.

Thanks for the insight, Zada! It really helps to hear from people who have already gone through what we've gone through!
Do you think you can tell me a litte bit more about your interview and timeline. For example, when did you apply, get your first call, get your 2nd call/interview, how did that interview go, when you found out. LoL...sorry if that's a lot! I was going to just PM you but I figured other people would be interested in your answers as well! I applied for the Ops MI and I'm so nervous...I want this so bad! Thanks in Advance!! :)

Hey Zada! Your post is very helpful- it explains a lot! Just to clarify- once you received your acceptance- did you accept the offer and sign up for check in etc. or did you just not accept or deny until you heard about the PI?

I just accepted the CP as if I never applied for the PI. After I finished my PI interviews and was accepted, I just called the CP number in my packet I received from them and said I could not participate.

Well, I don't really remember the exact dates but I do think that my blogs from last year are still on the CP and PI threads of Disboards if you have the time to look them up. Anyhow, I applied for the PI later than most because I was already accepted as a CP by the middle of February. I just said I would give it a try at the last minute. I believe I applied about this time in March last year. I had my screening interview one day and a second a few days later. During the second interview which casting conducted, she said that she will determine which of the three positions I applied for that she will forward my information to. It could be one, two, three, or none. Well I only heard back from one. I received a call to schedule a third interview. I really did not know what I was in for at the time. The interview took place around the end of March I think. I was interviewed on a conference call with three men all asking me different questions. What I did not know at the time was that these three managers were all screening me for their particular areas and that one of them would get to choose me. They actually fight for you at the end of the call if they want you in their area and which area they think you are a better fit. I found all this out when one of my new bosses in my new area told me that he was one of the men in the final interview and I really impressed them so he fought real hard to get me over the other two interviewers. I believe I received the acceptance call about the first week of April. After that everything took place via e-mail about where I was to go and when.

What line of business was your MI in? Merchandise, attractions, etc... and were you offered a management position at the same location you did your MI at? Thanks for answering.

OMG! I just got the best news! I was accepted for the Operations Management position starting in June! My manager had been really pushing for me and I guess it all paid off!! I don't know any more details than that. Oh, and that professional recruiting is going to call me later this week with details. I am SO EXCITED! I can't wait to see you all down there!!!
