Hi! I'm new to the boards and this is our 1st cruise. I'm a WDW veteran though, so I know my Disney. It will be me, hubby and our son who will be 4 at the time of the cruise.
So, give me the scoop. What do I need to know about all this?

Hooray! Welcome aboard this thread! There are a ton of things we can tell you. I haven't cruised with a little guy who is 4, but that is a fabulous time to take him! This is our 3rd Disney cruise and I have been on the boards for a while. As soon as I get home I will give you a couple GREAT links to some Dream reports that are very thorough with information for the little guy.

What is your favorite Disney Park? What is your favorite Disney Resort? And what is your favorite Disney charactor?

This is a great one! Not only has Cass been on every Disney cruise, she traveled with her child as an infant and as a toddler and she is now a travel agent and puts that extra info into her reports that people need.

What restaurant are you most looking forward to on this cruise and why?

Probably the same as jack.

Restaurant? Who needs restaurants when there are chicken fingers??

Wait! who needs chicken fingers when u can have PIZZA!!!!

As soon as you get on the ship, everyone goes either to the restaurant or the buffet and eats.... but right after that, saying rooms are not yet open, What is the first real thing you want to do on the DREAM?

I will probably go check out the teen club thingy.

Palo's and maybe an excursion in Nassau, but I'm still looking into both of them. Nothing strikes my fancy at CC but playing on the playground at the family beach and renting snorkeling gear for a day. lol. Can't wait to meet Barry the Barracuda. Mr. Chicken Fingers wants to play with the stingrays so we may look into the Extreme Getaway Package. SO much cheaper than getting them individually. Includes the snorkeling, floats for a day as well as a one hour bicycle rental and the Stingray Adventure.

But any movie + chicken fingers = a good time in my book regardless of location.

the only movie announced to be released in Oct. of 2012 is Frankenweenie on the 5th, for a midnight premiere.

Hands down, I'm a traditionalist. I love Magic Kingdom. AK is a close 2nd though. We're DVC, so we've stayed at most all the resorts, but my fav is Bay Lake Towers. Favorite character is a tough call. It depends on how I'm feeling at the moment. I'm a cross of Tinkerbell and Eeyore, lol.
I'm glad I found a group for our cruise! I was reading some of the posts just for info and saw everyone talking about FE gifts, etc and thought how cool it would be to feel like I kinda know some people on the ship.
