Do the sofa beds at SSR have bars in the middle?

I was just reading a response by someone on the resort thread about why they didn't like SSR, and one of the reasons she/he gave was because the bar in the middle of the sofa bed was very uncomfortable.

But, I thought the sofa beds at SSR didn't have the bars found in older style sofa beds. Am I wrong?

I thought SSR had all the "new" style sofa sleepers without the bar.

My bed in May did NOT have a bar...very comfortable.

BIL did not encounter any bars on our trip....in fact he said he needed to upgrade his bed at home because he hadn't slept that comfortably in years!

i slept on one in nov 06 and there was no bar.

i was confused by that statement as well...

Okay, good, because I don't remember our room last January having a bar in the middle of the sofa bed either, but I thought maybe my memory was failing me or my back was going numb.

Hmmm, the person who made that post on the resort board must of had the lone sofa bed with a bar in it at SSR then. Talk about your bad luck! Or maybe they have a hump in their back? Or perhaps, they actually never stayed at SSR?

actually we just got back from SS and we stayed in a one bedroom. After 4 nights I had to change to the sleeper sofa because the king bed was hurting my back! so-as shocked as I was-I ended up sleeping in the living room when I had that nice king sized bed in the other room!! and also-no bar in the bed...

SSR has the older new sleeper sofas. They are the memory foam mattresses that have cushions that come off. Unless there was a problem with one of the sleeper sofas at SSR and they moved an old one from BCV or BWV that was moved out when they replaced those....
