Question for you guys... We're staying at GF RPC and I just sent the IPO an email with all of my info, plus telling them that I've completed online check-in and confirming I would receive a text message when my room is ready. The CM said I'd have to physically go to GF to check-in before I could receive any text messages. That just doesn't sound right or like any of my prior trips. Does anyone have any recent experience with this? Hoping to not have to call IPO as I really don't have any major requests! Thanks![]()

I don't think Poly has this.. GF and CR do and so does BC... Poly had not started using it back in JulyQuestion for those that have recently stayed at the poly CL, do they have the texting service I've read about? 4th fast passes etc. thanks so much.

That is he number that you will text for extra FP and any dining changes. I love the text service.. It is amazing!!
CM is confused. He/she probably was referring to the IPO text messaging service and not the "room ready" texting. The room ready texting comes from completing online check-in and providing a cell number. Then you'll be subscribed to room ready, or not ready yet, notifications. But I will say it is still hit or miss, I did receive the messages for some of my resorts stays, but not others. Not sure of the reason.

I usually email the IPO a brief introduction email. I put our last name and reservation # in the subject line.

I'm finally staying Club Level!!! I just booked GV CL at BC for August (17-24). Surprising my sister, niece and nephew with it. I'm so excited.
We are staying club level for our first time - at the end of our first every split stay as well. We will be at YC CL May 22nd-24th!! Thanks for all of the great tips, etc!
Hi all, just wanted to say thanks to the folks who responded several pages back when I was debating changing my reservation from SL to RPC for my upcoming trip. I appreciate everyone's insight and opinions. Ultimately I did switch to RPC. This will be our first stay at GF and I'm not convinced it'll be a repeat destination based on our family's style, age of kids, etc (or maybe my Poly love), so figured go big or go home, right? Anyway, very excited to try something new and round out our MK resort experiences.
For you GF RPC pros, are there any common room requests I should keep in mind that would be beneficial? View direction, location relative to lounge? I am in a standard room category. This trip will just be me and DS5 (boys trip) and we are pretty low maintenance Disney travelers. Thanks in advance.

She is totally confused.Hi Erika, I was hoping you'd pipe in on this. I'm going to call IPO this morning, too bad because I prefer just emailing...but here's the email I received after I emailed them with my info and saying I did online check-in so confirming I'd get a text regarding my room:
Good Afternoon _____ Family,
We thank you for your email. We have noted your room request with a full balcony on your resort reservation. Please be aware this is just a request and it's not guaranteed but we do try our best to accommodate. The Standard Rooms in the Main Building do have day beds.
We also noted that you are celebrating both _______ and _______ Birthdays.
The resort check-out is at 11am and check-in is at 3pm. Sadly, the only way the system will send a guest a rooms ready notification is when the guest had physically come to the resort and checked in--this is when the text notifications is setup.
