i meant to say this earlier......CONGRATS to both teams! we all rock!!!! :cool2:

so i went for a run just now and when i got to the lake in our neighborhood and was jogging around it, i was looking down and when i looked up there was a ginormous crane about 10 feet away from me. :scared1: if you know me, you know that i am deathly afraid of anything with a beak! (except for donald duck, of course.) especially something that stands about 4-feet-tall with a beak. i just froze in my tracks and waited for him to fly away.....SCARY!!!

i have an appointment at 12:30 today to get my hair chopped. wish me luck!

Good luck. I wish I could be brave like you and cut my hair short just to see if I would like it. But I'm afraid that my face will look to fat, I'm overweight to begin with so I always think I look better with longer hair. Make sure you take pictures.

Oh and here is the picture of the Grumpy tattoo I was talking about, well not the same one. I thought I saved it on my computer because I loved it so much but the one I saw was much darker in color and in all brown. But this was how he was standing.

I have a baseball on my left ankle that looks like it is being thrown. I love it! My dad took me to get it for my 16th birthday.

I want to get another tattoo for graduation. My father and his father(who passed many years ago) can talk like Donald duck. I am think about getting Donald Duck in rememberance of my grandpa, honor of my papa, and I thought about having UM (university of Maine) put on Donald's sweater.

I would love to see tats!:thumbsup2

I would have freaked out too! :lmao: I am not good with big scary animals with large beaks!

Good luck on the haricut!

WTG Peeps and Babes!! Thanks Dawn, for keeping track of everyone.

Guess What?! I'm PREGNANT! It's a miracle! ;)

Thank you Elizabeth. Actually last night he said something about writing to Santa again and I told him that Santa can't keep him from having anymore birthdays and that I will be with him for a very long time. I was trying to think if George of the Jungle had something to do with that. Well last night we're watching Chicken Little and there's a picture of him, his dad and his mom and the father at one point in the movie (during the beginning) looks at the picture and says "you'd know what to do if you were here" and Nicholas says "where is she" I knew the answer but I told him I didn't know and then he kind of went on to say a favorite part in the movie that was coming up. He tells me he doesn't know why he was thinking about it but I guess the show might of got his little mind working. Yesterday in school was not a good day for him either, he had to bring home papers (2) and do over.

I know he's not on our thread as a member but

Happy Birthday to my DS Christopher who is turning 9 today. He's the one with the new glasses for those who remember the post.

I hope things get better for your little guy. He sounds like such a sweetheart and so sensitive.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO CHRISTOPHER!!
:cheer2: :cheer2:
My baby's B-day was Monday. Where did 2 years go?!?

The picture was taken on Saturday May 5, 2007. My fiance is not the biggest Disney fan but he usually goes because I love it so much. He is a typical guy he loves football, baseball, beer and usually doesnt like anything sappy or romantic. He is not big on public displays of affection and hates being the center of attention.

A couple of days before the trip my fiance (rob) said that one of the first things he wanted to do when we got to WDW was to go on Space Mountain. So we headed to the Magic Kingdom as soon as we checked into the hotel. As we were walking down Main Street, I told him I wanted to stop and pose for a Picture in Front of the Castle. We found a Disney Photo pass photographer and we started to pose for the pictures..I went to put my arm around Rob and the next thing I know he is on one knee with a ring!!!!!!!!!!! I was completely SHOCKED!!!! not only because he was asking me to marry him but because I know how much Rob doesnt like being the center of attention I was floored he decided to ask me on Main Street!! I kinda of blacked out I dont remember much else except him saying "LMO will you marry me????" (LMO is his nickname for me)then next thing I remember people were clapping and cheering for us!!! It was an amazing moment! Rob and I have been together for 5 years and we will be getting married on September 27, 2008

Happy April Fools Day! We had snow today in Michigan - and that is NOT a joke.

Man, does it ever get warm there?! I feel for you, I really do.

hell's kitchen premieres tonight!!! :woohoo: i love that show!

by the way, where is monica???

It was great!! The men just can't get it together! It is going to be a good season. They had a HK marathon running on Sunday and I have to admit that I DVR'ed it and have been watching it when I get home from the gym at night.

Hey, where is Ms. Mony? I hope she isn't still sick.

You're afraid of birds....:scared1: ?!? Just kidding, I know some people have real phobias about birds. I was born loving them. I was able to identify most Maryland birds by sight and sound when I was 10. I know I am a complete nerd. Everyone has their "thing". You would have hated the internship I had in college...hence, the screen name = born2bird.

I hope you love your new DO.

Hope everyone is having a great week!!:grouphug:

I have a tat on the top of my left foot....sun, moon and stars. No regreats, and have thought about going back to get a "mickey star" woven into the tattoo. I want the color re-done anyways.

My son got his tattoo the summer after graduating from high school. He is a 2nd degree Black belt in TaeKwonDo and alway wanted a tat. since his first black belt at 12 yrs. old. I told him he had to wait til he was 18 yrs old. He created his own tat. and has (on his shoulder...so it will not show unless his shirt is off) the 4 corners of the Korean flag..which is...sun, moon, earth and fire. It looks cool and does not show..even with a drees shirt on!.( He's in college now...majoring in business/accounting)

I got my tattoo later that summer..and love it. It was a mother/son bonding experience. I went with my girlfriend, but my son showed up to help me pick out the design and he held my hand thru the whole thing. Everytime I look at my foot I think of him and smile.
PS...the tattoo artist said the top of the foot is one of the most sensitive body parts...but....it really wasn't too bad.

Still thinking about getting a "mickey" on my hip, but at 49....do you think I may be too old ?????:confused3

Anyone from the Peeps..going to WDW in September?? Would love to meet up with fellow dieters! DH and I will be there 9-20 to 9-28.

I'm going to be there the same week! DH and I are staying at POR from Sept 20-29!!! We'll have to meet somewhere! How cool!!! My first Dismeet!!!

Dawn...I  the haircut! What a great style on you!!!

OK, I just got back from my 5 mile run. I did it in 1:02:54! I'm turning into a speed demon! :lmao: I am really beginning to see that I will be able to finish that 10K next month, and ought to have a half decent time too!

I got a new "do" (got it colored) too Punkin. I'm still on the fence about it. Last week I went in , and she gave me a permanent color but not 100% gray coverage. I did it on Monday, and saw gray by Thursday! So, I went back yesterday and told her I wanted the 100% coverage. She told me it would be darker, so I told her to go a little lighter then. Well, it is lighter, but it has more of a red tone to it now. My husband says I'm being to AR about it, and that it looks fine. Don't get me wrong it does look good, it's just not what I expected. Plus I still see gray. :confused3 This is why I have never colored my hair before because I know I am too picky. :headache:

Glad to see the old thread back. Kinda threw me for a loop at first though. I need to go find that story about Trixie and copy it somewhere. It is good for a good laugh from time to time. :lmao:

Totally not too old! I think that your mother son experience is great too! Hip is a god place too, no one sees it except for those close enough to show. :)

I am trying to find a place that won't be shown to everyone.

Okay...so I have a few more than I said earlier...just treading the water...
Please ignore the pidipple....In my former life I was a man...

Hey everyone. Mid-week check in....not so pretty. This has been a rough week back on the wagon. I just cant get over the 'eating like I am still pregnant' mentality. It is killing me. At this rate I am going to gain this week instead of losing

On the plus side, I had my 6 week check up today and got the go ahead to start exercising again so that is good. Now I have no excuse though :rotfl: I also got the go ahead to call my surgeon to re-schedule the reduction of 'the twins' that I had planned for last year too

A friend of mine is trying to start a photography business here and she is doing some free sessions for some of us, so I got some baby pics taken! I wasnt planning to be in any of them, so please ignore the frizzy haired no makeup person in the last few ;)
go here to check them out:

MAJIC - I think it's ultra-hilarious that you use the Super Callanetics video! I am utterly impressed that you can even DO the Super version. I feel weak and wobbly after half of the original Callanetics video.

I thought no one else on Earth had even heard of these things. But you say they work - I haven't ever stuck to it long enough to figure it out. If you PROMISE it works, I'll try it again!

.

Well, I can barely do the super version, some parts just have me snarling at the DVD. Really, they do work though. I spent about 6 weeks on the beginner and 6 weeks on the hour one, and just started this one last week. Those leg-hip-thigh exercises are HARD there are 600 hundred per leg, and I cannot do 600. The first 200 I can do, after that it's all a shaky downhill slide. But I'm trying. And I have seen an improvement in the cellulite areas. Enough to keep me grunting and groaning to it. ;)

I almost forgot to tell my peeps what I'm reading, yup jumped on the ban wagon and bought Twilight. LOVE IT. I'm on Chapter three. I read it when DD2 falls asleep in the car for nap time, she don't transfer so I usually knit in the car but I wanted to read this because of the great reviews on here. For all of you who have read all three, #4 is coming August 2nd (i think it's the 2nd) and then the author plans on writing another series based on Edward's view. Did you guys know that? The girl at the bookstore told me.

I love the Twilight books! I can't wait to read the next one. I love to read, and will even reread books if they're good enough. This series is good. My 15 year old daughter loved them to.

Today has been good foodwise. I'm trying to "save up" some calories for Friday, cuz' I'm taking the kids to the movies. Who can resist movie popcorn? :confused3
I'm thinking of letting my DD and DS see what they want, and me seeing what I want. The Ruins starts Friday and that was a pretty good book, but I don't know, maybe I'll watch Horton Hears A Who with them. What I can't wait for is NARNIA! Prince Caspian comes out in May. That is a must see for me.

Hope everyone has a great night!
