I almost forgot to tell my peeps what I'm reading, yup jumped on the ban wagon and bought Twilight. LOVE IT. I'm on Chapter three. I read it when DD2 falls asleep in the car for nap time, she don't transfer so I usually knit in the car but I wanted to read this because of the great reviews on here. For all of you who have read all three, #4 is coming August 2nd (i think it's the 2nd) and then the author plans on writing another series based on Edward's view. Did you guys know that? The girl at the bookstore told me.

I actually was reading my emails and saw this as an update in email form and I was like no way, I wanna be too but that's not going to happen here either, DH got vas two years ago. Then I scrolled down see April Fool's Day

That is so awesome. You totally looked surprised. Can you share the whole story. I love hearing about proposals and weddings and such. August is the big day right?

The picture was taken on Saturday May 5, 2007. My fiance is not the biggest Disney fan but he usually goes because I love it so much. He is a typical guy he loves football, baseball, beer and usually doesnt like anything sappy or romantic. He is not big on public displays of affection and hates being the center of attention.

A couple of days before the trip my fiance (rob) said that one of the first things he wanted to do when we got to WDW was to go on Space Mountain. So we headed to the Magic Kingdom as soon as we checked into the hotel. As we were walking down Main Street, I told him I wanted to stop and pose for a Picture in Front of the Castle. We found a Disney Photo pass photographer and we started to pose for the pictures..I went to put my arm around Rob and the next thing I know he is on one knee with a ring!!!!!!!!!!! I was completely SHOCKED!!!! not only because he was asking me to marry him but because I know how much Rob doesnt like being the center of attention I was floored he decided to ask me on Main Street!! I kinda of blacked out I dont remember much else except him saying "LMO will you marry me????" (LMO is his nickname for me)then next thing I remember people were clapping and cheering for us!!! It was an amazing moment! Rob and I have been together for 5 years and we will be getting married on September 27, 2008

Awe - that's so cute. I remember you saying your nickname was LMO. I think that's awesome. My DH acutally put my ring in a dixie cup filled with popcorn because we were renting a movie for home and I love popcorn. Well we had such a big dinner I really didn't want my popcorn so I put it down on the end table and then he said in a little voice "if you ate all of your popcorn you would have gotten this" and hands me the ring. I cried so hard and screamed yes. We had been dating for 5 years already so I was not expecting it at all. Congrats to the both of you and happily ever after to you both. Me and DH have been married for 11 1/2 years and still going strong.

Punkin... we are going to leave before you arrive. Sorry! I hope you have a terrific time. I am actually a bit SAD that my trip is coming up so soon. Only two weeks away and you know it will be here before I can even think about it (especially since both weekends between now and then are busy) and then it will be OVER before you can blink. I'm already getting "withdrawals" and we haven't even left yet!

i know!!!! i'm the same way. after my trip i get so envious of people when i see that they have a ticker going! i'm gonna be spoiled this year though....3 trips in one year!

Going out for dinner at LongHorn's for DS birthday. Oh I just realized I have to change his age to 9, makes me sad he's getting so big.

okay......can i make some recommendations for you??? ex-longhorn server here! for appies the wild west shrimp or the chicken wraps are good. and if you're in the mood for a salad the southern fried chicken salad is very good! of course if you want grilled chicken instead (to be a good peep) they can do that too. it's the greens and the pecans and the oranges and soft cornbread croutons that make it so good! if you want a steak of course the filet is always good. they just came out with 2 new steaks - one is a strip with shrimp and some sort of sauce on top and the other is a sirlion with portobello mushrooms, asparagus and sundried tomatoes on top....both were VERY good when we tested them last month. i don't know how theyr'e selling because i haven't worked there for almost a month now. oh, and if you're getting dessert the chocolate stampede is the best thing they have! i'm not a big chocolate person and i LOVE it!

sorry peeps.....i hate it when i do that! but birthdays are special occasions and i want her to know what's good!

MAJIC - I think it's ultra-hilarious that you use the Super Callanetics video! I am utterly impressed that you can even DO the Super version. I feel weak and wobbly after half of the original Callanetics video.

I thought no one else on Earth had even heard of these things. But you say they work - I haven't ever stuck to it long enough to figure it out. If you PROMISE it works, I'll try it again!

Punkin- please stop talking about food! :) EVERY single thing you suggested sounds great...but then, I haven't had dinner!

Happy April Fools Day! We had snow today in Michigan - and that is NOT a joke.

I love the way everyone looks out for each other on this thread.

Just wanted to put some levity into this conversation. When my kids were little, they were fearful about our deaths, never wanted to move away from us, etc. We didn't get around to having a will made until they were 11 and 13. We designated DH's sister and her husband as having custody of the kids if we died. DS said, "Don't die, because Uncle P. is really grouchy." DD said, "Yeah, but they have a pool!":rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

AWWWWWWW! That gave me the chills!

So far, I've RAN 3 hours on my tread mill and ate lettuce for breakfast. And I've drank water all day. Heh.

I think I'd believe that you really are pregnant despite the lack of equipment before I'd believe that anyone could run 3 hours on a treadmill fueled only by lettuce and water!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think i will be reading those after i finally finish the last two Harry Potters'....they look like good fast reads!!

WTG Peeps and Boarders. It's good to be seeing less of you all.
Punkin... we are going to leave before you arrive.

As my kids get older I keep thinking of everything that may not be as "fun" or as "special" the next time. But the good thing about this trip is that DS (just turned 10) finally got over his fears (for the most part) of the "big" rides and seems to be game to try everything! I'm so excited for him! But DD is mad.... she got to use his FastPasses in the past for the big rides, so she got double rides. But no more of that.... he is ready for the big time! He rode California Screamin' 7 times in one day in 2005, plus multiple rides on Space Mountain, so I have ASSURED him that he is ready for anything that WDW can dish out! .....................................P
I am so much like you. I love to have a long time to look forward to the trip. Then, when it's close, I get kind of anxious.
As for the kids getting older, each age has its own highlights. Last time we went to WDW, my kids were 16 and 18, and we all went "clubbing" at Pleasure Island. It was a total blast, and it was great that we could go back to the hotel, and the kids could take the bus or boat back from the parks when they were ready. So every age is a great age to take your kids to WDW.

My DD got a tattoo today. We had talked beforehand, and she knew I wasn't overjoyed, but we talked to family members about where they had gone that was clean and did a good job, and she went with her brother this evening. It actually is very pretty. It's just that, when I was a kid, the only girls I ever saw with tattoos were the ones who did it themselves to mark how many years they or their "old man" had done time in jail. Now I sound like I'm 100 years old, don't I?

sorry peeps.....i hate it when i do that! but birthdays are special occasions and i want her to know what's good!

Well punkin I didn't read this until this morning but this is what I ate. I had the Souix City Sirlioin, it has balasmic carmalized onions on top (me loves onions) and a sweet baked potato. For desert (only because it was his birthday) I got the fried cheesecake nuggets and only ate two  They actually weren't that good and I'm coming down with a head cold so I wasn't myself last night and didn't sleep all night because my head feels like it might explode and my nose is stuffy but on the good side I might only eat soup today:thumbsup2 .

by the way, where is monica???

I don't know, I know she was sick again. I think it's been a week. Hope she's ok.

That was so fun and thanks for keeping all the tallies. I so want to do that again. Count me in.

That's cool that you guys went clubbing together. I remember when my boys were old enough to go see a Disney movie with me and enjoy it. I got a tattoo too but I had to wait until I was married. Mom wasn't to keen on it. I have a rose on my ankle but I will say I saw a Grumpy tattoo on photobucket I think and I would love to get that on my other one. But it probably won't happen. I really want to add my children's names around my rose though, maybe when I get enough courage to go back I will.

WTG Peeps & Boarders!!! :cool1: I am looking forward to doing the challenge again next month! I am hoping to be in the top 5 next time!!!!

I have 2 Tatoos and love them...although one I do not see as much as I should!

My first is on my right heel...under the ankle bone. It is a crescent moon with a night orchid on it...I want to get the color re-done because it has faded a bit. Your foot sloughs off so much skin and I knew this would be an issue.

I got it in memory of my grandparents...they were willy people who did not conform and were always up all night, playing cards, going to restraunts and generally talking about their lives.

When I was a kid/teen I would spend a long weekend every summer with them. My absolute favorite memories. They could stay up later than I could because I couldn't stay awake...not because they wouldn't let me. One night at 4am my Grandpa woke me up to say we were heading out to breakfast...in Wisconsin...3 hours away...he knew this restaurant that had great pancakes and you couldn't live without knowing what they taste like!:confused3 :3dglasses He was stealth like that...so hence that tatoo..

My next was a decesion for my children...I have a long history of kidney problems, surgeries and thus huge hospital stays..

I was in the hospital in 2002 for Mother's Day...missed my kids tremendously..and when I got out...got a celtic cross on my lower back and the stones encrusted in it... I had my kids birthstones placed. I want my faith and my children with me wherever I go...and it may be dorky... but it was a moment I needed to express. It is beautiful....

I picked that spot cause I was about 200 pounds then...vowed to not get bigger but lose weight ...ahemm...:rolleyes1 ....and I figured the middle of my back will always be the middle of my back...even if I gained...my center should stay put!! Now on an arm for example...a side tatoo can be a back of the arm tatoo if ya gain 50 pounds...

My friend got a rainbow on her breast in her 20's...now at 40...the rainbow is raining...:rotfl2:

Shall we post pic's of our tatoos???

Utah Mama has 29 of them...most unable to be shown even on cable television!!!

:lmao: if that's the only tattoos i had seen then i'd definitely be against them, too!

laura/dizneydawn - i enjoyed your stories about your tattoos. the only reason i don't have any is because i have an irrational fear of needles. i came VERY close to getting one about 8 years ago. i had a picture of tink sitting on a thimble with her arms crossed, pouting that i was gonna get put on my lower back. my roommate was gonna pay for it for my birthday. well, she had to work late and so we couldn't go that day and that was the end of that. i could only psych myself up enough once to have the nerve to do it!

my brother has a mars volta (a band he loves) album cover on his arm that's HUGE. and he has a drum set under his bicep (he plays the drums), then he has a tribal one that i've never seen on his lower stomach. he tried to show me one day and i was like, "um......i don't ever want to see that part of your body on purpose!" the most recent one he got was the word "mustard" on his ankle on a dare. boys. :confused3

and get this......my dad recently got 2 tattoos and he's 56! he's never had them before in his life. he got them both on his upper arms and one is hearts with me and my brother and sister's names and birthdates and the other one is two nails made into a cross representing christ. talk about midlife crisis!!! but he is in really good shape for his age so at this point his upper arms aren't flabby or anything - he's buff!

Well punkin I didn't read this until this morning but this is what I ate. I had the Souix City Sirlioin, it has balasmic carmalized onions on top (me loves onions) and a sweet baked potato. that souix city sirlion is the one i was talking about! doesn't it have mushrooms and asparagus on it, too? if so, that one was really good! i could've warned you about the fried cheesecake - it sounds good but they're kinda nasty!

:cool1: Congratulations to Peeps and Boarders! Im definately in for the next challenge as well!

Speaking of Tattoos, I have one too - Its 3 little stars at the bottom of my back, I love it but it KILLED having it done! Unfortunatley, right next to my tattoo is now a 6inch scar from an operation I had done on my lower back (I suffer from problems with my discs), but I still love the tattoo and the scar adds character! :lmao:

Sure I will have my DH take a picture of mine when he gets home and post it later. Dizneydawn I would love to see that one on your back if you don't mind.

Utah Mama has 29 of them...most unable to be shown even on cable television!!!

:lmao:

Dawn - I will say mine hurt because of it being on the ankle but I will say I'd do it again. I want to add my kids names around the rose and maybe get a little mickey on the other ankle, like a hidden mickey. But that grumpy one is awesome, I'll try to find that picture again.

The steak didn't have mushrooms or asparagus on it, just onions with the balasmic vinegar sauce. I tried the apple dessert there before and loved it, but the waitress talked me into the cheesecake thing. They have a fried cheesecake thing at Applebee's that I love so I was kind of disappointed with this one, definately will not get that one.
