I hope things get better for your little guy. He sounds like such a sweetheart and so sensitive.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO CHRISTOPHER!!
:cheer2: :cheer2:
My baby's B-day was Monday. Where did 2 years go?!?

He has not mentioned writing Santa in two days so I think it passed for the moment. He is very sensitive. Thanks for the birthday wishes for Christopher. I know about the 2 years flying by, I have one of those too. My DD will be 2 1/2 next month. Happy Belated Birthday to him.

Still thinking about getting a "mickey" on my hip, but at 49....do you think I may be too old ?????:confused3

No you're not too old.

OK, I just got back from my 5 mile run. I did it in 1:02:54! I'm turning into a speed demon! :lmao: I am really beginning to see that I will be able to finish that 10K next month, and ought to have a half decent time too!

I got a new "do" (got it colored) too Punkin. I'm still on the fence about it. Last week I went in , and she gave me a permanent color but not 100% gray coverage. I did it on Monday, and saw gray by Thursday! So, I went back yesterday and told her I wanted the 100% coverage. She told me it would be darker, so I told her to go a little lighter then. Well, it is lighter, but it has more of a red tone to it now. My husband says I'm being to AR about it, and that it looks fine. Don't get me wrong it does look good, it's just not what I expected. Plus I still see gray. :confused3 This is why I have never colored my hair before because I know I am too picky. :headache:

Good job on the run. You go girl. Pictures of the new do please.

Okay...so I have a few more than I said earlier...just treading the water...
Please ignore the pidipple....In my former life I was a man...

Hey everyone. Mid-week check in....not so pretty. This has been a rough week back on the wagon. I just cant get over the 'eating like I am still pregnant' mentality. It is killing me. At this rate I am going to gain this week instead of losing

I know what you mean about eating like you're still pregnant. But what I did was eat only because I couldn't when I was pregnant. I had gestational diabetes and lost 40 lb while pregnant with DD2. I gained that all back and then some. Makes me so mad at myself for doing that.

I love the Twilight books! I can't wait to read the next one. I love to read, and will even reread books if they're good enough. This series is good. My 15 year old daughter loved them to.

I'm on Chapter 6. LOVE IT and can't wait to read more.

Hi all! Remember me?

Welcome back.

This weekend is going to be a challenge for me. There will be 32 people at my house on Saturday to celebrate the baby's 2nd birthday. There will lots of temptations to avoid but my plan is to eat a big salad before everyone arrives and have fruit salad instead of cake. I know the kidlets will talk me into hanging with them in the moonbounce so at least that is some exercise. In prepartion for the hoardes that we expect, I am taking the day off tomorrow to clean, cook and mulch my gardens (and from the looks of it I will be mulching in the rain...:sad2: Send the sun my way on Saturday otherwise I may lose my mind if everyone is stuck inside for the party.

I doubt if I will make it back here until Sunday or Monday so have a great weekend Peeps!![/COLOR]

Good for you that you have a plan. I find if you have a plan going into a problem/challenge you're more likely to stick to it. My brother has a moonbounce every year for his kids' birthday parties and he always has it for an extra day because of the weekend so we usually go back the next day and BBQ and the kids go on the moonbounce again. I should tell you it's harder than you think. Great exercise though.

I got weighed on tuesday at WW. Not good. I gained but won't post numbers until Friday (tomorrow). I am so mad because I know it was from this weekend with my SIL being here and the garbage I ate. Now I think I have a sinus infection. My head feels like it's going to explode and my teeth hurt last last, sure sign. I had some soup last night for dinner and plan on eating that tonight again. I love soup. Well gotta go to my knitting group.

Welcome back!

I know you wrote you will gain everything you will lose when you go back to WDW! I do not think this is true. You probably will be walking more and this will help you burn some extra calories. I know my game plan when I go to WDW in 6 weeks is to split some of the entrees which I know are bigger with my mom. As we all know portion sizes at restaurants are HUGE! Since you are going to be doing alot of family style eating...i would make myself a plate and try not to go back for seconds. but if you do do not beat yourself up over it you are on vacation afterall just enjoy yourself

I know speaking for myself I hate to feel full and then have to walk around the parks. So I am going to try to keep that in mind while i am eating

Some of you are going to think this tip is crazy but I do this all the time and it works. You know when you are at a restaurant you are done eating, you are full but you still have food on your plate so you keep picking at it because it is just staring at you in the face and the waitor or waitress has yet to come to take it away.

please do not laugh but what I do is I make what is sitting in front of me completely unedibile. For example I will put some water in the dish or throw some diet soda on it. This way the next time I want to go have that extra french fry I can't because I already dumped water on it....crazy yes! but it works!

Welcome back MHL!!

I hate to rain on the party... but I was on the Deluxe DDP in January for 7 days, and I gained 12 lbs. I have since taken it off (plus 6 more), though.

Don't be sad! No guilt from me! At least you had a decent excuse. I've had days where I have SAT at the YMCA for TWO HOURS waiting for DD's swim team practice and I STILL haven't gotten my fat behind down to the gym for even a few minutes. Total lack of motivation and laziness were my only excuses.

Today is a new day! Aim for 15 minutes of walking/running by parking further from the building and taking the stairs when possible and take it from there! I've done 35 min on the treadmill today, but am "planning" on doing a 5 minute stair sprint later.

I've been challenging my kids to see who can do the most circuits (one up and one down is circuit) on the house stairs (13 steps) in five minutes. I was DYING at the end and had only done 20 and that was a struggle. DS did 29 in the 5 minutes, and DD couldn't let her brother beat her and managed to do 30 in 5 minutes. I was impressed, plus it got the kids a bit more exercise without them even realizing it! This was Monday. We did it again Tuesday and I managed to do 21 1/2 circuits!

Kat.... keep smiling and have a GREAT day! Think of me as your cheerleader, not your coach. I'm only here to say good things and to cheer you on.

:cheer2: GO Kat!! GO Kat!! :cheer2: You are a lean, mean, Dis-ing machine! :cheer2:

.......................Love from Pamela

Thanks so much!! :goodvibes

I may hit the gym during lunch, or I brought my hockey gear and might make it to a hockey clinic after work.

Today isn't going so well, though, as usual.

Dawn~ Count me in too. (I don't know if I have to state a goal or my current weight or what so please fill me in!)

PLease PM me me your address, current weight/or from last Friday and then every Friday...send me your weight...NOT WEIGHT LOSS...WEIGHT as of Friday!!! Okay...sorry for the TALKING OUT LOUD...but I am not a math lover so weight is easiest for me to figure without 10 other steps to put into the graph... WELCOME!!!

I finally gave in and let my DD get her belly button pierced when she was 16. She will turn 17 this summer and wants a tatoo or a digital camera- I vote camera.

My son in addition to a tatoo on his lower leg used to have his ears "gaged out" to about 5mm- which is a whole about the size of your finger- all this was done after he graduated HS and paid with his own $. He let ears grow up or best that they would - there is still a hole its just not as obvious- they always reminded me - ok i'm going to show my age again- it reminded me of the National Geographic show that used to come on and they showed a tribe of people in South America- in what used to be the Rain Forest- this tribe put wooded plates in their earlobes and their lips-

I guess it you think back - tatoos and piercings are actually a very ancient art form-

Okay folks, what is for lunch? Is everyone eating healthy and delicious today?

I'm having a big salad with baby spinach, romaine, grape tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper, yummy ripe avocado, flax seed, 1 ounce of lowfat hard cheese and a small handful of fat free croutons. Dressed with Paul Newman lowfat sesame ginger dressing..... so filling and delicious! Weigh in tomorrow is a GREAT motivator to eat well today!

Hope everyone else is good today..................P

I have a smart ones chicken santa fe (140 cals), a big salad w/ cucumbers, red onions, a sprinkle of reduced fat blue cheese, and some light three cheese ranch dressing. I also have an apple, some strawberries, and a sf jello.

Anyone have good suggestions for a dinner out? I am meeting my friend and would like somewhere not very expensive and with dietary options. Olive Garden is out...

I had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast, and a Lean Cuisine panini for lunch. I'm going to have some chips, ("healthy" chips, multi-grain ones,) with hummus for a snack later, and probably Lean Cuisine for dinner.

Then I'll do some grocery shopping and restock my Lean Cuisine supply if I have time to go to the store today. I wish my store would have the good 50% off sale the other local store is having.

Well, I had some cereal earlier and am just starting to think about lunch. I think I am going to make myself a chicken salad roll up. I got some chicken salad the other day that isnt too full of mayo and stuff, then I will put it on a tortilla with lots of lettuce and tomato...should be a good lunch. We'll see how long it will keep me full though  I need to get more later in today though. I have been slacking in that dept.

I had my NS black bean tortilla soup with a pinch of mozzarella cheese, a small romaine salad w/grape tomatoes, 1 oz. of diced lowfat ham and my favorite Kraft Italian Caesar FF dressing. Very tasty and filling. Now I'm getting ready to have a Boca burger (no bread or bun) and an apple for my 2pm snack which will keep me full until 5ish.

HI guys and gals (are there guys in here??) -

Just wanted to pop on in. I'm an old WISH kid from way back and had a grip on things until 30 lbs miraculously appeared after our move to Seattle in '06. Now I'm struggling to lose that and fit in exercise around my full-time job. I've worked for WW in the past but trying this time to lose weight by eating healthy and exercising, not really "dieting." I've recently found out that I'm highly reactive to eggs and wheat so trying to give those up in an effort to gain overall health (giving up that combo is TOUGH, let me tell you!).

Happy to be here...will be checking in all the way to our next WDW trip on May 26th. Can't wait to be healthier in the World!

Well- tomorrow is weigh in day- right?? Not sure what the scalew is gonna say, but I have a COOL NEW TOY!!

It's a Salter food scale. But, it's no ordinary food scale- No Sir-eeeee!! This one tells the weight, fat, carbs, cholesterol and calories of each piece of food you weigh, amongst other things! I'm excited to get ti because I am pretty insulin resistant and I need the carb counter on there for sure. I meet with the endochronologist next week- and having this thing will make my food plan much easier for me .... at least I think it will.

I'm thinking this might be the best thing since sliced bread (and since I'm gonna have to cut that out, I need something to replace it!) for me! Yipppeeee!!

That sounds like a fun toy!!! Enjoy it!! I have my handy-dady Sunbeam food scale that just weighs the food. B-O-R-I-N-G!!!

I am not having a good day today. I am feeling very stressed and not making the wisest choices in food. I am sure I am WAY over my WW points! But, from now until bed I am only going to eat healthy and walk on the treadmill for at least 1.75 miles! :thumbsup2 I do have worship team practice and a meeting at 7, so that helps. I have to get control...WI is tomorrow!!! :scared1:

welp, i have a new 'do! i like it although the back isn't quite laying down the way i want it. it will though. my stylist said my hair is just in shock! i'll post pics soon.

ETA: go here for haircut pics: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=24196568&postcount=644

VERY cute 'do! I wanna go shorter, but DH just hates short hair. He has to look at me, and I don't care that much to just go out and do it anyway.

On the plus side, I had my 6 week check up today and got the go ahead to start exercising again so that is good. Now I have no excuse though :rotfl: I also got the go ahead to call my surgeon to re-schedule the reduction of 'the twins' that I had planned for last year too

A friend of mine is trying to start a photography business here and she is doing some free sessions for some of us, so I got some baby pics taken! I wasnt planning to be in any of them, so please ignore the frizzy haired no makeup person in the last few ;)
go here to check them out:
http://adorablephotography.com/Slideshow/033008/

What a cutie! And you look good too! Care to share some of the twins? I know mine will do a disappearing act :wizard: as soon as the baby is born (but I'm enjoying them now! WOO!)

Hi all,

Well im just back after a night out with the Girls - went for a meal and a few drinks, I was very healthy in my meal choices, but then had a few glasses of wine which kind of cancelled out the meal! My crosstrainer is being delivered tomorrow though so if I jump on that after work I can keep my fingers crossed for the weigh-in next week!

Disneyfav4eva - Snap - I had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast too, they are a treat for me as im quite particular with my bagels! :rotfl:

I love to read everyones meal choices as it gives me inspiration for my meals - however, when im reading your posts its usually late in the evening and ive already had my meal due to the time difference! :lmao:

This is one thing I never understood myself. When he took the ring out his ear closed up? How big is the hole now? I vote for the camera too btw.

Okay folks, what is for lunch? Is everyone eating healthy and delicious today?

I had chicken soup and a slice of pizza. Yessiree one slice of pizza (pat myself on back who usually can eat a whole pie). I'm sick so the soup was real good but not very tastey as I my nose can't smell anything, which maybe a good thing;)

I had my NS black bean tortilla soup with a pinch of mozzarella cheese, a small romaine salad w/grape tomatoes, 1 oz. of diced lowfat ham and my favorite Kraft Italian Caesar FF dressing. I love the Boca burgers. I get the fake chicken one.

We have one guy Aaron, he's the chart keeper for our mini challenges. Welcome back.

Well- tomorrow is weigh in day- right?? Not sure what the scalew is gonna say, but I have a COOL NEW TOY!!

Yipppeeee!!

Sounds really cool. I acutally have the WW's scale. It tells me the points on foods but not all of that stuff. Neato

Care to share some of the twins? I know mine will do a disappearing act :wizard: as soon as the baby is born (but I'm enjoying them now! WOO!)

You are more than welcome to have some of mine. Of course they are not in the same place as they were about 15 years ago :scared1: More support bra I guess.:lmao:

Hello all!

Well, food for the day was : Progreeso chicken gumbo soup 220 calories, (all of the soup that I buy is low sodium...not that is really low, but it is better than normal soup) 1 slice of wheat bread with pimennto (sp?) cheese 130 calories, regular popcorn not healthy kind 350 calories and and about 500 calories for trail mix...which is my snack weakness, I really need to stop buying it. Since I don't measure it, I delude myself about how much I eat. Oh, AND a 100 calorie snack pack of brownies. Yuck. 1300 calories. I guess I am done for the night. This is what happens when I don't make a meal for dinner.

Well, at least I finally stopped and counted, which if I hadn't got on here I probably would not have. So that is a good thing. It definitely helps to count calories. You can't kid yourself.:sad1: :sad1:

I did exercise today, but I picked a light day with the workout video. 50 minutes. The 1 1/2 hour video just takes so long! With the kids home for spring break, it's very hard to shut myself in my room for that long.
DS will come to the door,"Mom, can I have this?" Me,"Pant, wheeze, pant, didn't you just have a snack? Oh, never mind-go ahead."

They know when I am distracted, that's for sure.

Still, I didn't want to exercise today at all, so I am glad I did it. I always feel better afterwords, but it's making yourself get there in the first place that's hard.

Here's to staying strong and only drinking water the rest of the night. :cheer2:

I'm not really feeling it though. Good luck everyone tomorrow is WEIGH IN!!

Hi all!

I am one of the newbies. I posted for the first time last Sunday (I think). We just got back from Dollywood last night (will post a few photos later). WOW! Over 10 pages in less than a week! Please be patient with me while I read up on the old and new stuff in between washing clothes, cleaning house, putting the kids to bed, working, and hiding from DH so he doesn't think I have totally lost it and all of a sudden become some sort of internet junkie freak. Little does he know, I have been one of those for a while! LOL!

Will weigh in for the first official time in the morning. I'll try to do some reading later tonight.
