Hallmark Christmas Movies (+ other channels) ❤️ comfort & joy

For all the Ted Cooper fans out there, I discovered another Robert-Buckley-Christmas-movie on Netflix tonight. It's a 2018 Lifetime movie and was pretty good. Cheryl Ladd (yes, Charlie's angel :)) and her daughter Jordan (she's the female lead) are also in the movie.

I watched that one back at the beginning of November. I loved it. I love Hilarie, so I watch all of hers.

I like this movie too. I watch all of Hilarie's movies too. My favorite one of her is her summer movie, Summer Villa. She stopped doing movies for Hallmark when they wouldn't let her have a gay character as one of the supporting characters, nor an interracial couple. (Notice in The Christmas Contract, her best friend is married to a black guy.) That was with the former CEO though and many years ago. I wish they'd talk to her and say things have changed at Hallmark now, and please come back.

Happy 2026, everyone! Wishing you all health and joy and of course movie fun. I rewatched Time for Her to Come Home for Christmas last night. It was actually the perfect end of year movie because while not the best acted, the characters were endearing as was the church and town. To me the main message was the reminder that every moment with those we love is a gift from God. Remember, don't wait to tell those you love that you do. Do it now.

Now that Christmas is over, I will be entering my withdrawals and rewatching what has been recorded. Although I am looking forward to some of the usual suspects this time of the year. You know, those with snowy, wintery vibes. January/Lovuary (Feb) time frame. Those that I eagerly await: Winter in Vail, The Secret Ingredient, Winter Love Story, One Winter Weekend/Proposal/Wedding, The Winter Princess, Hearts of Winter. Honorable: Taking A Shot At Love, Love on the Sidelines.

I'm sure I've missed a few, l so I'm interested to see what others winter movie lists include.

I'm looking forward to the "Winter Escape" lineup, all filmed in tropical locations:

Jan 3 - Lost in Paradise. Filmed in Fiji, the romantic comedy follows a fashion company founder and a chef who are "marooned on an 'deserted' island," and "romance blossoms as they work together to survive," according to the network. Starring Lacey Chabert and Ian Harding.
Jan 10 - A Melbourne Match
Jan 17 - Love on the Amazon
Jan 24 - Caught by Love
Jan 31 - Missing the Boat

There is also Love in Winterland with Italia Ricci & Chad Michael, which I really like.

A real oldie, A Royal Winter with Merritt Patterson. Not sure if they show it anymore on Hallmark as they like to NOT show their older, better movies anymore.

Winter Castle with Kevin McGarry. The ice castle idea is more interesting than the story. The guy was kind of wimpy at the end. There are actual ice castles each year in Canada, and in the north in Sweden, China, Finland, Norway, Japan.

Love in Winterland and Winter Castle are good. I don; think that I've seen A Royal Winter.

I will also check out Lost in Paradise. What was the name of the movie where two tourist strangers were separated from their group and bartered for shelter and food? It may have taken place in Greece? I think I overall liked it which is why I'm asking :)

I loved rewarding A Godwink Christmas Miracle of Love about Eric and Joy Fellman in Oshkosh, WI. The supporting actors especially Adam and Sadie were great. I would love to see a follow-up with all of them in it. I may have asked this before and forgot, have any of you, friends, read the Godwink books?

Thank you so much, PrincessShmoo. I did Google and don't remember that at all. I think the movie I meant was Lost in Love. I will see if it is online to watch sometime and share.
