No it was like 10 cassettes or CDs in the mail for .99 then you get signed up for a monthly membershipWas that the ones they would have infomercials for or i think was called Now thats what I call music![]()
Probably the same concept with the obligatory purchases being overpricedNo it was like 10 cassettes or CDs in the mail for .99 then you get signed up for a monthly membership

I think this here perfectly defines the difference between growing up in the 80s or early 90s and growing up in the late 90s or early 2000s.Was that the ones they would have infomercials for or i think was called Now thats what I call music![]()

My 9 year old daughter is now listening to my old CDs since she got a CD player for Christmas......Ummm what about Columbia House and the cassettes or CDs.. IM showing my age
You had to send a card in every month saying that you did NOT want the selection of the month (eg Molly Hatchet), or it would automatically be shipped to you at retail price. And you were required to buy something like 4 albums at regular price over the following year after you joined. Overall it was a very cheap way to build up your music library while likely receiving several unwanted titles along the way!Probably the same concept with the obligatory purchases being overpricedI still think they were a good deal overall for Disney movie club!
That is amazing!!My 9 year old daughter is now listening to my old CDs since she got a CD player for Christmas......
So you had to mail the card?? Ugh was the shipping to mail at least free. That would be my logic not to mail it if not and then get chargedYou had to send a card in every month saying that you did NOT want the selection of the month (eg Molly Hatchet), or it would automatically be shipped to you at retail price. Some of that stuff would make a sailor blushIf I had kids I would never want them to listen to the music I listened to![]()
