Just returned from our trip and wanted to post that the buses were great, they were always there and if we missed one, we did not have wait long. Very happy with the transportation service.

Just booked our trip today for CBR in April - we're all excited!! There is so much wonderful info on this thread - I know it will help us have a great time at the resort. I know I've seen it somewhere, but I couldn't find it - does anyone know what the bus stop pick-up order is? Thanks!

Thank you both! This will really help us plan our down time a bit better.

I don't recall if the kiddie pool is open late, but the pool is open 24hrs. We spent late nights at the park or DTD so we didn't use the pool at night this trip. Keep in mind the main pool at CBR now has a zero entry point, so even the littlest ones can enjoy the pool. The slides aren't open. There are also "quiet" pools in each village so you'll also have the option of the pool practically right outside your door step.

We were just at CBR, and the kiddie pool closed every night at 8:00 p.m. The main pool was open 24 hours a day, and the quiet pools were pretty much always open so you have lots of swimming options.

Thanks jenbear - I must have missed it the first time you posted it, but it was exactly what I was looking for!!

i cant wait. parents just checked in today for 15 days and got building 26 and were told that we will have the room next door when we get there on friday. i hope that is the case. they said they have one of the rooms with the door inside so hopefully we will connect. now if we can only get this week to move faster.

Well, I am not happy.

Last week I booked a last-minute trip for one night for this weekend. Our SIL and BIL saw the pics from our last trip and decided they wanted to go to WDW for a night during their vacation with us.

The only rooms available were a king and a pirate, so I booked them. I asked if we could be in the same building and they said that they are linking the ressys together to try to make sure that happens. Now looking through the boards I had a bad feeling, and sure enough when I called I got the answer I did not want to hear. We will be in Trinidad South in the pirate room, and they will be in another part of the resort. ALL the trinidad south rooms are pirate, and there are NONE in the other building areas.

There are no other rooms available. I can't even upgrade them to a pirate, none are available. CSR was available but I don't want to stay there, I wanted to stay somewhere new, and I did not care that much for CSR.

I guess I will try every day to get things changed, and make sure they know I am not happy when I get there.

So, so everyone knows, if you are booking more than one room, they will either be both Pirate, or neither, unless of course you are happy being in two different buildings.

No problemo! It took me HOURS to find that old thread. Happy to pass it along to those looking for it :thumbsup2 What dates are you going in April? We'll be at the CBR the last week of April :cheer2:

I hope you get what you need. I think the pirate rooms are all doubles, so you may have to give up the king bed. Hopefully another pirate room will be available (if that is what you want) or two rooms in another village will open up.

Hopefully. I don't care what room we get, I just want to be in the same building. We only booked pirate because that was what was available.

We are booking a preferred location. Should we request one area over the other....Martinique vs Trinidad North. Anyone like one more than the other?

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. We have stay in both and had a great time. They are both about the same distance from OPR.

Hi all...I'm a Pop girl...well thats the only place we've stayed at in the past so far, and we love it, but I keep wanting to give CBR a try. With t he 4/3 deal it would cost us less than 100 to go to CBR (though. we have no trip booked, I'm always looking and planning)
Anyways the set up is so different and I only have started to read the thread. The one thing I like is the pirate pool. MY DD would love it, along with the main pool. I know I don't want to pay for preferred as the cost will go up just a bit too much and then we would be better off staying at pop...so my question is, before reading, and I will work on reading through, where is the pirate pool located and is that a preferred area? Can you get close with out being preferred? With Pop we have been lucky the last to trips with the pool being just a few steops out our door, and we really like that. But I would like to try someplace new too.

What does zero entry point mean in the pools? Does it mean no steps and just walk into the water? Is it all the pools at CBR or just the main?

At the Beach Club I remember there was actual sand in the pool.

Here is a map of CBR: http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/cbrmap.htm

You can book a preferred room and be right on either side of the main pool, but like you said there is the extra cost.

We have stayed in a standard room both times we have stayed at CBR and have always been under 5 minutes from the main pool. Even from the furthest village you are only about 8 minutes from the main pool. Aruba 51, Jamaica 45, and Martinique 22 are probably the closest standard locations. So you could always request to be in one of those buildings!

There is also a quiet pool in each village.

Yes, zero entry means you can walk right into the pool, like a lake. CBR is the only moderate to have this so far. But no sand bottom like the BC!

We were upgraded in June to Martinique 26 which is preferred. Martinique 24 is NOT preferred and the walk is only a few minutes...less than 5. In 2007 we stayed in Jamaica and we did have a decent walk to the main pool and food court. We LOVE CBR but next year we booked bounce back at CSR just to try a different moderate...oh and because they have queen size beds.

The zero entry means you walk into it like you would at a lake or beach. No steps. It does not have a sand bottom but is a regular pool.

so that really didn't answer my question. WHERE is the pirate pool. Is that with the main pool?
