Caribbean Beach FAQ Part IV

Question, I have an ADR for 8pm at 50s Prime Time Cafe at DHS. That is also what time the park closes that evening (no evening EMH).

I want to make sure that we are going to be able to get back to CBR after we eat. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how late the buses transport back & forth from DHS after it closes?

I've been told that the buses run 2-3 hours after close or until the last guest is gone from the park.

Do they have movies on the beach at CBR like at the Beach Club?

So I don't like rumors or "I heard" so I decided to ask here. It looks like we may have to book here for our trip next year since CSR is sold out on the dates we want. Are there elevators in ANY of the buildings? I can't fathom sleeping on the ground floor (give me the heebee jeebees!) and we'll have a stroller with us as well.

There are no elevators in any of the CBR buildings. We gave stayed in ground floor and second floor rooms and have been happy with both.

I see that the food court at Old Port Royale has large-sized pizzas. Has anyone tried these? Can you get them as carry-out? Are they part of the dining plan?

From what I have read here (or on allears.net), they will cost you two credits to get a pizza.

Isn't the 2 credits for room delivery? If they wanted to order at CS and have it for take-out, would it still be 2 credits?

Hmm... Good question! This is all I could find on allears.net - CBR menu:
Service available 4-11:30 p.m.
A $1.00 delivery charge, applicable sales tax, and 18% service charge
will be added to your total

I am getting excited to go to CBR and have no clue what building we will be in. Just know we are getting a king bed and requested bottom floor.

Not sure about CBR...but when we were at Pop they wouldn't let us order a whole pizza in the food court. You had to order it from your room and either get it delivered, or pick it up. It would've been 2 credits... We didn't order it.

You can definitely order a large pizza at OPR but I am not sure how many points it is. We were just there a couple weeks ago and I saw numerous people getting a large pie from the pizza place.

What time do the slides close at the main pool? Do they have the same hours as the pool or do they close earlier? Thanks!

Is there a gym at CBR?
Can you walk to DTD, or any of the other parks?
Are there taxi cabs waiting to pick up guests from the hotel or do you need to call them before hand?

No gym. But I think CSR has one.
You cannot walk from CBR safely anywhere.
I'd say you would need to call a Taxi. To enter CBR you must go through security.

No, there is not a gym at CBR.

Although CBR is VERY close to DHS and Epcot you can't really walk safely to either.

Disney has buses running to each park and DTD from every Disney resort every 20 minutes or less. We have always experienced great bus service at CBR, with quick rides to all parks and DTD.

I have seen cabs sitting around the resort, but never used one so I'm not sure exactly how that works.
