I just saw this website for the first time today at work. I checked my email at work today to find a bunch of pics from that site in it that someone sent. I apparently must live under a rock because I've never really been familar with it. For those who don't know, it's a website where people take pictures of total strangers they see at Walmart & then post them on the website so everyone can make fun of their clothing choice or how heavy they are.

The thing is, I seem to be the ONLY person who thinks this is so cruel. I checked out the site & it's not just "funny clothing" they're making fun of, I've seen people making fun of the eldery for missing teeth, an elderly man for being hunched over, & the comments are shocking. I mean there's one where they're making fun of an overweight child & these grown adults are calling the kid fattie & making cruel jokes. I never really considered myself an overly sensitive person but I kid you not 99% of the people I know all think this website is the greatest on earth. I feel horrible for these people though, I mean I may not agree w/ their choice of style but to make fun of them for the world to see? It just seems so horrible to me :sad2: Just out of curiousity, does anyone else not find this site funny?

I hate to come off as an insensitive person, but yes I think it's funny. I'm a good person with a warped sense of humor, I guess.:upsidedow

I guess I have to ask - how would people laughing at the site feel if they found their own picture there, being ridiculed?

I'm with the OP.

I'm sorry, but I have to laugh at some of those clothes. I don't care to make fun of people for what they can't help (missing teeth for example) but really, the lady who walks around in her panties or that lady in fur is hysterical. The guy in the girl's pink pants just makes me giggle.

They MUST know what they are wearing and they must think they look really hot. Or they don't care.

If I went to Walmart barefoot, or in a bathing suit, or with my (anything) hanging out, or with my cellphone stuck into my cleavage, then I would deserve to be laughed at, too -- so yes, I think it's funny.

It's one thing to run to the store in sweats or yoga pants without makeup on. It's another thing entirely to walk around in public wearing lingerie, pants intentionally showing what's underneath, or something that looks like an old, over-the-top Halloween costume - no matter what size or age you are!

As for the comments left by those who visit the site, I never read them. That goes for pretty much every website I visit. Those comments sections really make you fear for the future of humanity ;)

I've never looked at it because I find the idea of it offensive. My guess is I would be amused at some pictures, put off by people laughing at others.

I doubt there's one of us who hasn't laughed at someone behind their back at some point, but I don't see it as something to be particularly proud of.

I go to Walmart several times a month. I hope no one has taken my picture.

I think that some of the wacky clothing is amusing but I think that making fun of older people or kids or people who can't help what they look like is pretty sad. I also think that some of those people might not be all there if you know what I mean. I don't visit the website for those reasons but I know plenty of people that do.

Some of the pictures are funny, and frankly, if you are a 300 pound guy wearing zebra Daisy Duke shorts, a hot pink spandex tank top, with a feather boa and house slippers, you are asking for people to notice you.

But generally I think the pictures are mean to I avoid the site.

Mean spirited and pathetic. So they look different so what. If they are happy not dressing sheep like then good on them, we have developed this idea of what people should look like and heaven help you if you refuse to look "normal" eccentricity should be applauded not ridiculed.

This is how I feel too. Yes, some of the pics are mean -spirited and I don't laugh at them, but some photos on that site have had me laughing so hard I was in tears. So my answer would be - is the entire site funny? No, definitely not. But some of it is hilarious.

I only find about 3/4 of the pictures funny. And most of those are based on clothing choices. Even the ones I find funny are almost more of a so sad that people would do that sort of thing that its almost funny...

Yes, I laugh. I think alot of the photos are funny, but some are not. I also have had my picture posted online and looked at by strangers and laughed at, ever hear of FB? I don't care because I have the ability to laugh at myself, and like some posters have said, if you go out looking ridiculous you should expect some ridicule.

Realistically, if I was a 500lb woman wearing a string bikini top and short shorts, I'd expect to be ridiculed.

I find a lot of the clothing choices to be very funny. I love the crack photos, mullet people, tube top people. Not every photo is a hit on there, but there are some really good ones. Every now and then, You come across a picture that is something that shouldn't be ridiculed, but for the most part, it's a funny website.

I completely agree with you. I saw the site once, and I just don't get why people think it's funny. I have seen some people at Wal-Mart that I might wonder "what were you thinking" when they got dressed this morning, but I wouldn't stoop so low as to take a picture of them and post it for people to make fun of. Just doesn't make any sense to me. :confused3 I feel that people who make fun of people must have very low self esteem, and I feel sorry for them, not the people they're taking pictures of.
