Black Friday Buddies 2009 Unite! SCORE REPORTS, WAIT STORIES, HAULS FOR DAY!!

About the trampoline, check your homeowner's insurance, you may not want to go there....

Super walmart will be open ordinarily all nite, some folks will wander. They will bring out pallets wrapped in black plastic that you cant touch until 5 am....also a map of the doorbusters will usually be available at the door usually around 330 or so...

I've been to BF at our super walmart for the last 2 years and they unwrap the pallets at midnight. It's insanity.

Last year, I went to Meijers and got there about 4am in order to scope out the area to see where "my products" were. Like Wal-Mart (who I am afraid of on BF), you can't open/touch/purchase the specials until 5am.

pm'd you a black friday ad !!!! woohoo

I have not seen any predictions for toy sales; besides the obvious with the Zhu Zhu Pets. I am hoping for some deals there and some Micheal's Thanksgiving Day deals on Cricut carts.

Thank you all for doing this.... I am thinking about making the TREK out and giving this black Friday Morning thing a try this year!!!!

Wal-Mart to offer 100 toys for $10 during holidays
Wed Sep 30, 10:13 am ET
BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world's largest retailer, said Wednesday it will offer more than 100 toys at $10 during the key holiday season.

Wal-Mart is offering the promotion to attract recession-weary shoppers during the crucial holiday season, when toy retailers record up to 40 percent of annual sales.

Additionally, Walmart stores will match any local competitor's advertised offer on the same toy product if it falls below $10. That offer will expire after Christmas.

During last year's holiday season, the Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer promoted just 10 toys at the $10 price.

The toy push comes as Wal-Mart works to hold on to gains it has made during the recession as bargain-conscious consumers have traded down to cheaper products and focused on the necessities — both its specialties.

Wal-Mart Chairman Robson Walton said Wednesday that "sales have been tough," despite gains from its Asian operations.

"I think this recovery is going to be a slow one," Walton told a global CEO business conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Some of the toys Wal-Mart is promoting this holiday include Barbie Cut and Style Rapunzel, a Play-Doh Burger Builder Set, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Action Figures, and My Little Pony So Soft Newborn.

Several board games are available for $10, including Connect 4, Battleship, Monopoly, Trouble and Jenga, among others.

After last year's dismal holiday, toy retailers are ramping up competition for consumers' dollars as the crucial holiday season approaches.

Wal-Mart's promotion comes as Toys R Us is aggressively expanding shelf space, opening 350 pop-up stores in malls and at its Babies R Us locations, while Sears will offer toys at 20 of its stores.

Most economists' predictions call for holiday sales to be flat at best when compared with a year ago.

Here are the toys that may be included:
The $10 toy list includes "newly released toys, top brands and classic toys that shoppers seek out each holiday season." Some of the toys will be sold for $10 and others listed below will be reduced up to 50% off the current price. A partial list of the brands being offered is:

* New Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Action Figures
* Barbie Cut and Style Rapunzel
* Games such as Connect 4, Battleship, Monopoly, Trouble and Jenga
* Vtech Explore and Learn Helicopter
* Tonka Light and Sound vehicle assortment (firetruck, dumptruck, etc.)
* New Littlest Pet Shop Online Animals (virtual pet) or Littlest Pet Shop Playpack sets

Anybody know where to find a complete list of the 100 toys?

I was in Walmart the other day and saw some of the $10 toys. All that I saw were either originally $10 or close to it (in the $12-$15 range). I did not notice any that seemed to be really good deals.

I'm looking for:

DSLR camera (cheap)
Portable DVD player (megacheap)
Blu Ray Recorder
Digital Book Reader
Net book (cheap)
32 inch lcd tv, preferrably white....

I went out last year for the first time and really had a blast. I went to Wal Mart and then to the mall and also shopko and even a fabric store.

This year I am waiting to see if Sears will give me a new HE wash machine and dryer. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I too am hoping for some good deals for presents for my mom. I have everybody else done (did it while at disney) and just need things for her.

I am hoping for a blu-ray player too. The dvd player in the family room is dying so mom says if we can find one on sale she'll take mine and I can have to blu-ray for me since I watch tons of movies.

Target had some BluRay players on clearance this week. The Sony was 50% off and it was $124.99 or something like that. We debated buying it but we have no BluRay DVDs and Red Box doesn't either (that's the only place we get DVDs from) we decided against it.
