Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

i tried calling my mom when DH and I were on IASW so she could hear her "favorite" (not) song...because once she hears it she cannot get it out of her head...but my cell reception was not good in there and it did not work...too bad...I loved teasing her like that but it did not work out

I have dubbed them Spud, Mash, Julienne, and Fry. They sit quietly each day, anxiously awaiting the decision on which two will be making the trip.

Now that you know more than you ever wanted to know about the Potato Heads, I bid you all a good Tuesday!

MeMom: Your tater family is not complete!! You still need Shoestring, Waffle and Salad! :rotfl2:

I must agree with Kristina, since I don't have a trip in the works right now  I'm enjoying visiting vicariously through your reports. It's the first thing I do every morning ... after coffee! :coffee: Keep up the good work!!

Hey Ladies -- Just got back from Disney last night. and Glendamax was right.... it was really really hot. -- But that did not keep me away. I weighed myself this morning and I lost 3.5 pounds from all the running around and sweating.

I am so excited that I got to meeting glendamax and madimouse. They are so sweet, and fun and....Tall... lol. I was a least 5 inches shorter... :rotfl: We got to go on a few rides together and then I met up with my family again. It was a great little meet... I am excited for Glenda to start her trip report....
Cannot wait to do our dismeet in november.

btw -- My mom called me when I was on HM and the reception was fine. :goodvibes

Welcome back!!! I'm so glad you guys got to meet. You should have called me. I would have ridden along with you via phone! You'll have to give us details when you get the time...and pictures!

I think Glenda said she was coming back tomorrow and would be going out to eat with friends for her birthday.

If I stayed in Disney World, I'd be thinner, too, since I walk constantly. Up here, life gets in the way, and I crash on the couch with my ice cream to wash away the cares of the world.

I LOVE Pop so am excited that you are all going back there. Yay! :) I wish they would build family suites there so we could stay there next trip. I think their blue slushies are one of my favorite things at WDW! ;) Love the potato head collection too MeMom!

Hi MeMom! I just want to say how much I love your reports :goodvibes , they really make me feel like I'm back home at Disney even though I am so very far away.
So now until I'm ready to do a solo trip I am going to continue to visit the world in your fine trip report. Makes me happy so thank you! We always stayed at the Pop and I love that place to bits so I can't wait for your next trip. I love your shopping pictures, if it's not to much trouble do you think you or Jill could take a few of what's for sale now at the Everything Pop gift shop? Thanks a bunch :) !

We're glad you're able to get a Disney pick-me-up through our pictures. We will be glad to take pictures inside Everything Pop! I'm going to have ten days to snap, snap, snap away, so I should get plenty to fill everyone's shopping pleasure. Even declansdad. ;)

punkin413 - That's just like us. One of my teacher friends went last summer before we did, and she promptly went to Small World and called me! I was quite happy to be standing there in line with them!

k_reile - You need to pick a special song we could play to your baby over the phone. Gotta get him started right!

GorshGoofy - I am not spending any more money on plastic potatoes!!! Family or not, it's gotta stop somewhere! I'll get a lot of neat parts in WDW, dress the gang up, and take a picture of them to show.

If I lived in lower Alabama, it would be dangerous. I would be making trips much more often than I do now! How long does it take you to drive?

TCKK - Tell GorshGoofy to stop thinking up new brothers and sisters for the Potato family. I am not planning to add to the family at this time!

Beana - I'm with you. snowbell needs to give us at least a mini-report, even if she doesn't do a big one. Glenda told me she wasn't planning to do a report, but I, along with many others, will be begging one of her.

Lovemy3babes - I hope they build Pop suites, too! I think a lot of people do. You could still stay at Pop, because two regular rooms are still cheaper than a Music suite. You get more beds and still two bathrooms, but no kitchenette, of course. Music was very nice, though, and I think you'll like it a lot. It's nice to try them all, I think.

And now, for more trip pictures.

Our next park was Animal Kingdom. Brooklynn calls it Ammel Cammo. She loves Ammel Cammo, and wants to go there just about every day!

We saw some entertainment.

Then we peeked in on Pocahontas and her Forest Friends.

Brooklynn was mesmerized, much like she is when she watches Beauty and the Beast. That's her little blonde head down in the front. Really close to that snake.

More later. There will soon be a parade, so go and get your snacks and find a good spot. (Let me get my BBQ chicken going for supper first.)

Edited at 4 a.m. Wednesday morning to say parade pictures will come this evening, so hold on to your good spot. No, it did not take me all night to fix BBQ chicken. I just had to do some laundry and some other chores. Sorry for the wait.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: But, but, but ... I was just getting started!!! Mash has a twin brother named Garlic. There's Smashed, Skins, Doubled baked, and don't forget Instant. Give me time, I'm sure there are more!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:lmao: That was a great response, MeMom!!! :lmao: As to your other question ... I can drive to Pop in about 8 hours. I should just pack up and head down there, shouldn't I?

i've never seen the pocahontas show. are there birds? if so, it's a no-go for me.

:goodvibes

I am totally cracking up laughing. Please let me take you to Flights of Wonder someday! I think it would be hilarious to see your face! When did you begin to be traumatized by our fine feathered friends?

i was 9. i went to get the mail at my grandmother's house and a blue jay had a nest in a bush near the mailbox. it chased me all the way back in down her long driveway and i had scratches from that psycho bird to prove it! an angry mama bird is a scary thing. my older cousin made fun of me, but when he tried to get the mail for my granny later that day, that bird chased him down the street! :lmao: ever since then, i FREAK if a bird gets near me. i can hold snakes, frogs, lizards, spiders, whatever. but i don't do birds.

If you start talking about their foreign cousin, Au Gratin, I'm going to have to get you!

Eight hours? Oh, heck yeah! I'd be in that car OFTEN driving toward the World.

We'll have to arrange to be there at the same time some day, and we'll try to convert your wife over to the happy side! :)

On second thought, we'd probably just scare her.
Never mind.

We'd be like this :jumping1: walking down Main Street, (and yes, we grin about that big) and she'd go running!

The same thing happened to Jill, but she was a little younger - about five or six. She went down to get the paper, and a mama bird attacked her. Mama was not playing either! I had to go out and rescue her. I agree, it was a little intimidating, but she laughs about it to this day. Luckily, she must have been pre-trauma age, because she's okay with Flights of Wonder and anything else that has to do with birds.

Ah! me oui! Ah cannot beleive zat ah have forgotten ze au gratin, perdon moi!! How zilly of moi!!! :rotfl2:

Some of us probably shouldn't get together :jumping1: I'm not sure WDW could handle it ......... ah, sure they could!!! Not sure my DW could though. :lmao:

My bird story involves a mama chicken. I've liked it crispy fried ever since. Seems like payback for scaring me to death!!!:scared1:

Wow, only 18 days! You are so lucky! I loved the potato head pictures, stories, and names. I bought some potato pieces, and was proud of the amount of parts I was able to squeeze in. It probably took me an hour to pack all of them in, but I was on a mission. I get a little bit like Monica from Friends sometimes. :rolleyes1 My husband didn't mind how long I was taking because he was at DisneyQuest (that's probably why I lost track of time).

Oh, I stopped by Dollar General today. They have a few varieties of their Disney stickers on sale for $.50. I also noticed that Target now sells glow necklaces and bracelets in their party section.

Brooklynn looks totally enthralled with it all. She is so cute and you definitely seem to be raising her right. Lover of all things Disney!! You guys are doing your job well. :thumbsup2

That little Brooklynn is a cutie! I've never seen the pocahontas show or flights of wonder! Add it to the list!

Memom I just have to question this. What about the little one "Tater Tot"? :rotfl2: I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself. :rolleyes1
