August 12, 2011 Disney Dream Meet Link Here

Sorry, I have not figured out how to mulit-quote.

Gary - Not staying after cruise. Flying out the day we get back to port.

Momtotwogirls - Here is Apple's official explanation for airplane mode: Airplane mode disables the wireless features of iPhone to comply with airline regulations. No phone, radio, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth signals are emitted from iPhone and Global Positioning System (GPS) reception is turned off, disabling many of iPhone’s features.

Wendy - We are BIG Harry Potter fans. So our main focus at Universal will be the HP rides in Islands of Adventure. A few years ago we stayed at OKW and went to WDW. But we just could not go to Orlando and pass up Harry!!

I have been reading discussions about taking bottled water on board. Personally I do not want to hassle with carrying that much water or figuring out how to get it past the CM's. But we do like the convenience of bottles. So I called DCL and ordered a case, 24 pkg. OMG!!!! The case was $35. That was high but I understand. Then he told me the total was $42.67. What? :scared1: He talked with a few people. They automatically add 15% gratuity. Wow!! But I gave in and said OK because I did not want to put all that water in our suitcases. Besides, there is no room because of the FE gifts. :)

See everyone on board. Have a safe trip.
- Michael

Gary, we took our 2 cats and 2 dogs to the kennel today.

Michael, that is crazy for the bottled water. I prefer bottles too but didn't really think about taking any or ordering any. Not sure when we are going back to Orlando but I would like to go to Universal. We have only been to disney in June, August, and October. I want to go a different month but not with spring break crowds and can't pull my kids out of school. Maybe in 2014 when Easter is late again. This year our break was the 4th week of April and I heard crowds were low.

I'm busy too getting everything washed and packed up! It seems like we are taking the house every time we go anywhere :worship:. We have a friend stay with our dog when we go away - luckily we have her because Maggie does not do well at the kennel anymore. She got so upset, she stopped eating - so we had to stop boarding her - poor thing.

I can't believe that the trip is finally this week and that some of you are really there already!!! :cloud9: I hope you are having a blast!!! Now, if I could just fast forward to Thursday through the car ride down... :rolleyes1

I talked to Verizon this morning. They said you are not charged roaming if your phone is on. Only if you use your phone.

Just got back from my doctor. I started getting a sore throat on Saturday. I have strep. He gave me antibiotics and said after 2 days of treatment I should be good to go. So glad it hapened now and not after we leave. I would have been one miserable quarentined sailor! :boat:

My DH wil take care of my dog while I'm gone. He's my angel (my dog is the angel) and DH better be good to him! My friend told me the other day that if Jesus had a dog it would be a Golden retriever!

Laundry and packing today, driving down tomorrow. I swear it seems like we take the whole house too!

The kennel separated the 2 cats, poor babies will not be happy :sad2:

Safe travels everyone! Have to go pick the kids up at their dad's tonight @ 9. Don't think I'll get any sleep...too excited. :grouphug:Group hug for everyone! Lani, our dog would not eat in a kennel either. Found a girl who comes to the house 4x a day. Best thing for Sadie.

If any of you have the ability to post the day of your cruise could you please let us know how the Port opening and boarding was handled with the new port opening time. Thanks ;)

Can't believe that today is the day!!! A little surreal, though my body must be excited because I am up at 6am for no reason. :confused3

After cake and ice cream last night with my family, I pulled out all my documents and the passport. Then I met with my friend and got her half of the deposit money for Alaska. :cool1: Tossed in the last load of laundry and hit the hay. Today is full of last minute packing and excitement in general. We'll leave for the airport at 4pm, flight out at 5:50!

Wow has time flown by!!! Can't wait to meet you all! Don't forget, for those of you hitting up Epcot tomorrow, to look for me swaying around the world. :lmao:

Weedy, I can post, but am on DCL transportation so I can't help you out much! Have a good trip when it's your time to go!

I am up am having trouble sleeping too...it must be all of the excitement!!! :goodvibes I have a bunch of errands to run today and have to finish cleaning up the house... and packing, of course!

We are still trying to decide if we want to try an alternate route down (not 95). I'm pretty sure we have decided to take it back because we have been stuck in horrible traffic coming back up.

Weedy, we can post about boarding - we are supposed to be in the 11:00 - 11:30 group, but we are also coming from CIS. I have to call them to get on a shuttle, but cant do that until the day we check in. Hopefully, we can get in the first shuttle group and that part will go smoothly too... :rolleyes1

I hope all of you are having fun at the World!!! See you real soon!!!

Trying to get caught up with posts. I was at my mom's for a couple of days, then yesterday busy with trip prep. I've only been getting about 6 hours of sleep a night. I wake up early and think of somrthing to put on my list!! Safe travels to you who are leaving soon or have left. I won't have internet once we leave as dont have it on phone and don't want to pay for it for the laptop.
Sorry to be late providing this info. We are Marc, Hope, Andrew (DS14) and William (DS9). We are in Cabin #9079 and #9579.

We're just finishing packing up, and we head out tomorrow. We'll stop overnight at my parents' house, then get to WDW on Saturday morning. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Aug 12!
We're on 9 too and my DS just turned 15.

DD Krystina is a medium.
I thought you meant she was a psychic.:rotfl::rotfl: Then i read the quote about shirts!:rotfl2:

Oh, Judy you have no idea. She is in New Jersey and she sucks! We finally got our travel documents but the magical express tags were not in it. And she never sent them to my mom in pgh. Don't know what we are to do with our luggage? Then I went to do the online check in for Riverside and it says we check out on Saturday and not Friday. I asked her if we were overcharged. I'm not happy right now.
How frustrating!

hope you feel better fast! :goodvibes

We're turning our phones (AT&T Iphones) off when we get on the ship. Cellular voice, data and text service is available on the ship, but at a cost. Besides the roaming fees incurred when you make an actual call, there is a charge for data usage. Most smartphones are constantly sending data back and forth on the cellular (3g, edge, etc) network because of the applications running in the background, even if you are not actively using them.

I'm okay with that. No connection to the outside world for a few days is not going to be such a bad thing..... :goodvibes

Right, that's why we turn our phones off too. We have Verizon Iphones, but I heard story on the Disboards where someone got a huge bill in roaming charges because their phone what searching and working "in the background" the entire cruise... don't know if it's true, but I don't want to find out the hard way either!!! :rolleyes1

I am looking forward to having no contact with the world for a few days! :surfweb: Maybe I can get some reading done? Actually just looking forward to spending time with my family!

Laundry done and packed. Getting up at 4:00am for showers, pick up Chelsea and drive to the airport for our 8:00am flight.

Feeling a teeny tiny bit better. Hopefully tomorrow I'm better still. I called the MD today and asked him for Z-Pack. He told me no, to calm down and that the amoxicillian would be just fine. He thinks I'm neurotic and crazy which may be true but I just want to feel better NOW.:confused3

I'll check in from the world - be safe everyone and I'll see you on Friday!:grouphug:

Hello everyone! We landed at MCO today to rain - it rained all day but the temps were very cool.

Unfortunately while I was waiting at the gate to board our plane I realized I forgot our FE and magnets! UGH, I can't believe I did that! I've never had a naked door since we've been participating in the FE exchanges

That was not the way I wanted to start our vacation! However, I did remember to bring all the FE gifts since they took up an entire carryone bag and it was than that I realized it was FAR more important that I remembered the gifts! :goodvibes

In the past I've seen people hang up tote bags so I picked up one that is not the prettiest :sad2: and it has the word "VINYLMATION" on it -sighhh.

For those leaving, have a safe trip!

Yvonne

On board the plane at Pgh International. Should be taking off shortly. Two hours and we'll be in the World!

OUCH....that hurts, we had many years of opportunities, but we have never had success.....but there is always this year.:worship:

But actually I have two favorite football teams.

1) The Philadelphia EAGLES

2) Who ever plays the Dallas Cowboys:rotfl:

But wait.....we are all friends here. Lets talk trash on Facebook after the cruise......althought I will still be wearing Eagles attire.:rotfl2:

I will be wearing my Tony Romo jersey on the 12th! Go Cowobys!

We are loaded and pulling out of the driveway! Can't believe it's finally here... Hey Gary, can you believe it's been 16 months!!! I will post updates along the way... Hope everyone who is there is having a blast and wish everyone else safe travels!

Signing off... Packed and ready to go. Leaving in the morning. Time to pack up the laptop. Safe travels everyone! And to those already on the way, safe travels to you too, and I hope you're having fun in the World. See you all Friday!
:dancer:

Had to do the dancer one last time LOL.

See you all soon!
