August 12, 2011 Disney Dream Meet Link Here

Safe travels, everyone who are still traveling. To all in the World, I hope you are enjoying yourself!!

Yvonne, oh, no! I will try to put some extra magnets on your door. What is your cabin number? You must be heartbroken! I have seen tote bags outside cabins and I actually think they work better than the FE. One of these times we cruise, I think I am going to do a tote bag. Then you would have something to carry all of your goodies home with you. ;)

Almost done packing. Need to finish mine and DHs clothes and then we are good to go. I am so thankful we purchased the packing cubes. It has made organization so much easier with packing everyones clothes for the cruise! Love, love, love them!

See you all about 2:30 tomorrow!! Woo, hoo!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Chylynn, I was VERY bummed! But after spending a day at DHS and MK yesterday, it made it all better :woohoo:

We are in room 9547 and thank you so much for being so thoughtful :flower3:

See everyone soon!

Is everyone as sad as I am?:sad2: and I didn't even book another cruise yet. I need to do that.

We are driving home now, about an hour or so to go. I priced one on the Magic out of NY, same dates, same length, oceanview instead of verandah, and with the 10% off it was still the same price as this cruise. I thought it would be cheaper. Was nice meeting you all!

I am so disoriented. I wake up and think I am still in my cabin! This coming home home stuff sucks.

I booked on board for April 29, 2012 - the same cruise on the Dream. I haven't told my DH yet though. Hope he's not upset.......
He wants to do a Magic/New England out of NYC so maybe I can book that one while on board in April. I may be pushing it though. I need to find a second job to pay for these!

Coming home does stink. :guilty: I booked Alaska on Friday so I'm already scouring the Vancouver threads and emailing back and forth with my travel agent. 381 days to go!

I'm bummed that I missed meeting everyone. With 13 of us trying to get organized we were still in the middle of our meal when 2:30 came around.

The FE gifts were great!! All the people in my group would make a trip past my door every night when I was sleeping to see what I had gotten.

Mine were in cute bags until one of my sunscreen bottles exploded in my suitcase somewhere in transit between WDW and DCL. Luckily only the small packing cube the bottle was in, my rain jacket and the FE bags got hit. So, the homeless lanyards, bracelets, playing cards, and water bottle holders were mine.

I thought it was a GREAT vacation and an AMAZING ship. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

CareBear a friend of mine went on the August 2nd Alaskan cruise and said it was her favorite of all and she has been on about six DCL cruises.

Thanks everyone for the FE gifts! Kids and I had a blast giving and receiving them. Whoever did the "journal" awesome idea, my DS9 loved it! Plan on stealing the idea for future FE gifts ;). Don't know how someone got all that chocolate on board without melting but it's almost gone so at least I won't have to figure out how to do the same home.

Still at the World so not sad yet but time is flying...Can't wait to cruise again in Alaska!

Last week at this time we were all so excited...now, back to the grind :sad2:

Oh well...until the next cruise...be well!

Oh, and by the way, thanks to everyone for the FE gifts. They were a big hit with our girls. Kind of like stockings on Christmas morning!

To the two cabins that did not receive ours: I apologize. I had "re packed" some stuff without my wife knowing, and she discovered them when we got home

Thanks to all that included us in their FE gift lists even though we joined after the list closed. Our girls really enjoyed receiving the gifts and checking for new ones.

Hope everyone enjoyed our FE gifts. They took up an entire carry on. But that gave us room to bring home the gifts we received, and all our souvenirs.

- Michael

We loved all of the FE gifts!! Thanks to all and hope you enjoyed ours! It was the best cruise I we have ever and we plan on doing another one. We loved seeing all the decorated doors and homemade FE. It was great seeing friends we had met at the meet and greet and Donnie is so cute!! Finally home and back to work tomorrow and girls start school Tuesday and Wednesday :(. We did book on board but are planning on a 2013 fantasy trip. Have a great day all!!!

Just got back tonight from Bay Lake Tower after our dream cruise. I can't believe I need to go to work tomorrow.

I appreciate all the FE gifts, I thought it was great getting & giving the gifts.

I guess I thought it was like a secret Santa, so we didn't attach labels to the FE gifts we gave. The Mickey & Minnie bags are water bottle holders that were for the adults. Tee shirts were for those in the 15-19 year old group. The wands with the princess'es picture were for the young ladies 6 and under and the journal books were for anyone in the age group 7 to 14. I hope all gifts were useful !

We actually printed twice as many journal books than we needed (by accident), so we brought them with us and gave them away to young people we met. At castaway cay we met a sweet 5 year old girl (with her parents & grandparents) and we asked her for a room number and that we would leave a gift outside her door for her and also her brother. Later that day my wife Janet got a phone call from the front desk.....that little girl made her grandmother track Janet down so she could thank her......it was very cool. The next day Janet saw her and her family again.

At our dinner table we shared our table with a great family, and the dad (John) knew me by my name (dis boards)....he had been a lurker here on the boards. His daughter and my daughter have very much in common......great encounter, John told me he will now join in with discussion.

Hi all we just got back last night form the Boardwalk Villas and I just wanted to say a great big thank you for you all including us in the FE gift exchange (even though we also were in late). The boys really had fun getting all of the fun stuff!!! We had a great time and are looking into our next Disney cruise!!! Thank you to you all for all of the helpful tips ahead of time as well.

Thanks
Shirley

I will be wearing my Tony Romo jersey on the 12th! Go Cowobys!

It was nice meeting you guys on the cruise......my daughters thought it was very funny that I met you in line that first night.

Good Luck this year......hope we meet in the playoffs!

We got home late Sunday night and went straight into back to school mode.... it took us forever to drive home - the traffic on Sunday was just awful!!! It took 11 1/2 hrs from Charlotte, NC to Philly!

I also wanted to thank the Dreamers who left us gifts even though we were not in the FE! The boys really enjoyed coming back to the cabin and finding surprises waiting for them!

Hi again everyone!

Thank you all for the lovely FE gifts. Luke had great fun looking out for new presents and our stateroom host even had to take some in for us.
Hope you all liked the British/welsh themed gifts.

At the moment we're at the airport waiting to board our plane - we had a great time and it was lovely to meet some of you on the fabulous dream.

Lindsey
:thumbsup2

Hi Fellow Dreamer Cruisers.

I'm the John who Gary P talked about in his previous reply. I was only lurking here before to see what our fellow future cruise passengers were saying about the Aug 12 cruise - looking for cruise tips and such. We had been on the Wonder twice before, but this was our first time on the Dream and was looking for some info before we left home.

I had read this thread on and off for about a week prior to our departure, and then during our first night at dinner, I was surprised to find out that my family and I were seated with Gary P and his family. How amazing was that!!? Gary, you have a wonderful family and it was such a pleasure to meet and talk with you all on the cruise. Samantha really enjoyed hanging out with Robin at dinner and later at the Vibe.

How great was it also that we all kept bumping into Donny Osmond on the ship? It was like we were playing 'Where's Waldo', but with Donny Osmond. Too funny! My wife and I went to his 4:00 meet and greet on the last full day of the cruise. He was funny and really nice to everyone who showed up.

All in all - a wonderful vacation with great new friends! Glad everyone had a great time and that you all made it home safely. We came home to a 6.8 earthquake here in Virginia. What fun!

Does anyone else check in her to see if there are any new postings? :confused3 :rolleyes1

I have it bookmarked... so I am always hoping for a new post!!! :goodvibes This week has been so crazy with back to school for me. The kids and Nick start back on Tuesday. (Nick did have meetings this week though...) It was so hard getting up at 5am to go back to work. I think that was the worst part of it! I am just so tired!!! Good thing they gave us off tomorrow and Monday to sleep it off!!! :rolleyes1
