I'm not talking about those gigantic things that are around now, but the little guys, encased in plastic, probably big enough to get stuck in your throat, that could wobble but wouldn't fall down, no matter how hard you chunked them across the room? I had the treehouse and Treasure Island (ala 1974 & 75) as a kid, but have been collecting them since 1998 on eBay. Here's a pic of the Magic Kingdom set to jog your nostalgia.

Anyone else love these things?

I know exactly what you're talking about. I loved the Weebles! We probably threw ours out, because who in the 80's was thinking about a thing called Ebay, much less the Internet?

Okay, being 4 feet tall and rather plumb growing up the words "weebles wobble but they don't fall down" was a horrible reminder of my past....

I remember...::yes:: Didn't they also have little hats for some of them that you could take off and on???

Me! I loved my Weebles. I had 3. Too bad I don't still have them now.

I had 'em!!!! I loved my weebles! I had the treehouse and a haunted house and it is one of the toys I wish I still had from childhood. I didn't even know they made a MK set!

I had weebles :D

I had the cruisehip ones where the dad was dressed in short pants.

Absolutely, the song is dancing around my head now, thanks, it'll probably still be there @ 3:00 am as a stare at the ceiling humming "Weebles Wobble but they don't fall down". This should have been on last weeks thread about "You know you're a kid from the 70's if...":)

We had the castle ( not WDW) and about 25 diffrent weebles, my parents still have it and one or two weebles, now when we visit my kids play with them!! pirate:

I remember them, but I didn't have them. That's proabably about the time I was playing with Dawn, Angie, and their friends. :teeth:

I love weebles!!!! Fortunately I still have all mine from when I was a kid, since I hid them in the attic when I went to college! :teeth: I had the Mickey Mouse Club House set, which my nieces and nephew play with now. I also have a Magic Kingdom castle, but no parts to it.

I also have a very rare "peelable" weeble - an early weeble from around 1973 that had no plastic outside shell, so the paper with the weeble face and body could be peeled away by any kid who played with it! Good thing Hasbro fixed the design. :)

Here are some of my wonderful weebles!

Omigoodness! HugsForEeyore! I thought what you typed was that you had a "peeable" weeble and I was like how on earth could a weeble pee! My mind is gone tonight, gone, gone, gone far away. LOL

I'm looking at your picture and I have a lot of the same ones as you. I have the little blond mousekateer, pluto, the regular dog, the blonde lady in the green dress, I have two of the red topped boys in the green bottoms and one of the pink ones

Peeable Weeble!:rotfl:

I want one!

In addition to the MK, I've manage to collect the Haunted House with glow in the dark ghost, the Treasure Island pirate ship, the Treehouse, and the Super Weeble Hero set, with Ice Cream Truck and the villanous Mr. Trouble! As for single Weebles I've got the Mouseketeers, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Pooh, Tigger, Christopher Robin, Raggedy Ann and Andy, Santa, Rudolph, all the pirates, the aforementioned ghost, scared kids from the haunted house, the witch, scuba guy, circus people, indians, cowboys, all the Sesame Street folks except Grover, and lots of regular kids and dog. I've even got a couple of peelable Weeble family members, too. But, alas, no peeables.

If anybody has Grover, the blue camel from the Raggedy set, or the Invisible Man -- PM me -- I'm in the market!

I was watching Seinfeld reruns this week and they had the one where Jerry is dating the woman with all the 70s toys. He and George drug her so they can play with them. At one point, George says he found a whole Weeble village behind the Easy Bake Oven. You just don't hear many Weeble references, so I was a happy camper!

I loved weebles! I miss them and the weeble treehouse I had.
I look on eBay from time to time but haven't bought yet. LOL YET!

My brother and I had the camper and we loved it! I have no idea where they are now.

I just checked this post - PEEABLE!!!!! :jester: :jester:
Wouldn't that have been a fun weeble to own! Probably would be quite a mess sometimes! I could easily sell such a thing on Ebay!! :teeth:

OK, OK, I am currently packing for my Pop Century trip, but I just has to stop to show all you weeble lovers a picture of my PEEL-able weeble!! :) It's the brown weeble below on the left. She has no shell around her, as the paper goes all the way around. I compared her to the normal "non-peelable" green weeble woman (as kids we called her Mrs. Flowerwatch, as she is holding flowers and wears a watch - we were so creative!).

So there she is! Anyone else have a weeble like the brown PEELable one??? :teeth: :teeth:

Ok - back to packing! :)

LOL, thanks for giving us an example! I don't think I've ever seen the PEELable ones before. I do have that big lady one next to it though. :teeth:

Every summer, my siblings and I would pack up our weebles and fisher price people into their camper, school bus and a pepsi delivery truck for their ride to WDW. They would stop along the way and camp at the weebles' treehouse. It would take weeks for them to drive with all the adventures that we'd create for them. By the time they finally reached the MK, we would all be pepped up and bugging our parents to please let us go to the real one.

We probably did this for 5 summers in a row.

I loved them too! I also had the treehouse. It was my favorite toy. I actually did save a couple of them and gave them to my DD years ago when she was 4, but she didn't really appreciate them. I actually found one outside where she was playing with them and didn't bring them in. I was so upset! I don't know what happened to them now, I probably threw them out.
