Agree. Not bad if you need a bunch of stuff anyway and adding a DGC pushes you over $250 but not so hot on its own unless DGCs are on sale and you also get a good credit card cashback boost.

EDIT: I just checked and DGCs ARE on sale. Your coupon used for 3 $100 DGCs for $94.99 ea. plus credit card cashback should put your savings well over 10%. (Already 11.68% before cashback.) I would do it.

All the ones in the New York City and NJ area only accept cash for gift cards.

The point that is being made here is that as a chain store, Dollar General seems to have a very high rate of stores that only accept cash for gift cards. So if someone is going to make a trip to a Dollar General to specifically use this deal, it might make sense to call them first and verify that they allow credit card payments for gift cards.

FWIW, I'm in NJ and our DG takes credit cards fortunately. I think it really just depends on the store.

I already used my whole 5% Discover discount on other BJ's Disney gift card deals This month I have used a couple of $10 rewards on their $100 Disney gift card sale price bringing that down to $85 so 15% off And there are a couple of buy more, save more deals coming up soon. I think that is why the $20 off $200 didn't seem as good

Sorry if this has already been discussed; I just noticed this thread and I rarely buy Disney gift cards. I need to buy a $500 gift card for my niece. I have BJ's and Costco memberships. I also have an old Discover card that we stopped using years ago so when I logged in to activate the 5% cash back for wholesale clubs, it let me, but eventually told me my account has been closed though I can still log in for a certain amount of time.

Does anyone know how long this sale at BJs is going on? I could probably reactivate my Discover account but I don't know how long that might take. It's possible that waiting for that to happen could cause me to miss the $25 off the gift card price.

GRRR, the offer disappeared from our card! It didn't expire, it just fully evaporated. We called Chase and they confirmed it currently doesn't exist at all on their end. I had taken a screenshot, but that didn't help, as they can't add it back if they can't access it. The rep explained this can happen if they need to take the offer down to update or adjust the terms - but I'm wondering if there was a redemption limit on the offer that was reached and so they quietly pulled it? Hoping to see it pop back up in a day or two.

IT glitch that happens sometimes with Amex but I thought they usually still worked. @AngusIsMySpiritAnimal did you chat with Amex and see if the rep could see the offer was added?

Thank you! My coupon was $20 off $250, but when I added 3 $100 Disney GC to my cart, a random "Clipless coupon" also applied itself, saving me an additional $6. Order total was $264.97 + 5% Discover Cash back for a total savings of roughly 16%!

New BJ’s member here, where do these deals typically show up? In email? Under the coupon tab in the app? Or someplace else. Unless I’m missing something, I’ve not had one of these offers, just brand specific (mostly groceries) ones.

How recently did you use it?

I had an issue with several staples offers where they appeared to have disappeared in the days immediately after I used the offer. But, they did in fact credit properly and once they did, they showed back up in my earned section. It seemed like they went into weird IT limbo when they were processing...

4 days ago. I'm hoping the result is what happened with you. I vaguely remember this happening before
a year or two ago. Weird thing is when I called Chase they said I never added it. But I took a screenshot.
