FYI…some Dollar Generals won’t take credit cards for gift cards. The ones near me are cash only for them. A few other posters have said the same for stores near them.
I've never had an issue using a credit card for a gift card.

That’s good, I wish the ones near me allowed them. They have posted signs… cash only for gift cards. There have been posts from other people saying their DG won’t take credit cards for gift cards either. I’m just making the poster who asked the question aware, in case theirs doesn’t accept them.

All the ones in the New York City and NJ area only accept cash for gift cards.
The point that is being made here is that as a chain store, Dollar General seems to have a very high rate of stores that only accept cash for gift cards. So if someone is going to make a trip to a Dollar General to specifically use this deal, it might make sense to call them first and verify that they allow credit card payments for gift cards.
I actually came here to see if anyone posted / knows deals for Costco memberships as mine (executive) just expired.
They offered me nothing at the service desk nor did I receive an email promotion. Sam's Club offered $20 for a year but nothing from Costco.
Thanks friends!
GRRR, the offer disappeared from our card!>>>>Swan is Westin, Dolphin is Sheraton, Swan Reserve is Autograph.>>>> Yes! Chase Offers has 10% cash back up to $68 at Westin right now! Going to confirm tomorrow that I can do as those here have suggested and pay off $680 of my December Swan stay to get $68 back!!
Oh, that sucks!GRRR, the offer disappeared from our card!It didn't expire, it just fully evaporated. We called Chase and they confirmed it currently doesn't exist at all on their end. I had taken a screenshot, but that didn't help, as they can't add it back if they can't access it. The rep explained this can happen if they need to take the offer down to update or adjust the terms - but I'm wondering if there was a redemption limit on the offer that was reached and so they quietly pulled it? Hoping to see it pop back up in a day or two.
I used to get mine at DG for about 3 months, I just tried this morning and was told cash only. I wondering if it is a slow roll outFYI…some Dollar Generals won’t take credit cards for gift cards. The ones near me are cash only for them. A few other posters have said the same for stores near them.
There is an offer through Groupon through 6/22/25, but it's for new memberships only. Not sure if there is a way to get around this if you are a current member...

That's a savvy idea! FWIW I am a Sam's Plus member and have also never been offered a sweetener at renewal time. But we get enough value out of our Sam's membership and the 2% Sam's Cash that I go ahead and pay the full renewal. I do like the idea of reupping the membership via discounted card.Thank you so much! Grrr. I think Costco is stricter with their membership policy vs Sam's. Darn! And I don't want to mess with Costco, we've saved & earned so much money over the years.
I think my only option is to buy a discounted Visa gc and use that to pay for my membership at customer counter.
