Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2026

I really liked hotel Lulu the one time I stayed there. I have it booked but also have some cheaper options booked. Hotel Lulu is right next to the Toy Story parking lot so when you go to the park you can walk to the parking lot and take the shuttle to save some steps. Sometimes they have a bag check there and it’s quicker than the DL Harbor one it seems. The in room coffee is horrible instant coffee but they sell coffee and food in the lobby.

How does it work taking the shuttle from the Toy Story lot if you didn't actually park there. I'm staying in that area and have seen a few people mention this. Do they care if you didn't park there?

Thank you! The 8pm closing is helpful just in case there are flight issues. Not sure why, but we never have issues flying to WDW. But when we go to DL, we always have some type of delay.

We are DVC members and really hoping to stay in the Disneyland Hotel or the Grand Californian. We have to wait until June to book. I may book somewhere else for the mom

Nope they don’t care at all. There was a Disney moms panel answer to a question a few years back that recommended it. You just walk in. From Lulu it’s out the front door and left on Harbor. Once in the lot you’ll easily see the area where the buses pick up and the security check.

As far as I understand the process, you find a charity that has an available 5K (or whatever race) bib, sign up for it, fundraise the required amount of money (which includes the cost of the bib), and then they give you the link to register with runDisney.

Help me process this....going to run 10k on Saturday, would fly out on Sunday morning AND staying on Harbour at either Park Vue or Legacy (very close to the start of the half on Sunday morning that I fly out). Looking at timing of flights out and wondering about traffic and congestion on Sunday morning for an Uber to get me and take me to the airport.
Anyone had experience with this?? Is this a nightmare on Sunday morning for me to be leaving my hotel in an Uber? I suppose I could move hotels on Saturday night to somewhere away from that area? Thoughts???

No personal experience, but here's the road closure map from this year's race if you haven't seen it. Both the hotels you mention could be problematic, since they look to be in the limited access zone. Instead of moving hotels, you could just walk farther up Harbor and get picked up there. Might be easier than moving hotels.

Dummy me. Just realized the Dumbo is only 10k and half. If i would have realized that I would have also added the 5k. Oh well. I will keep my eye on it to see if the 5k opens up between now and then. Or maybe see if I can find a charity bib for the 5k. If not, I am happy to just be doing a DL run for the first time.

Since this may be the only time I do the DL HM Weekend, even after it comes back, I figured I might as well do all the runs. Got in for the 5k through the Cure Rare Disease charity. Just as I am finishing my fundraising goal for WDW MW, starting a new fundraising effort.

I did this last January. I walked across Katella around 8am to one of the hotels on that side of Harbor, and ordered an Uber. There are enough back roads that the driver didn’t have any issues getting to the hotel.

It varies on the charity. Team DetermiNation, for example, sends it once you've reached half of your fundraising total.

The parking garage announcement plus this makes no races after this weekend make a lot of sense. I'm wondering if they're going to use the parking lot where the races start and end for the additional parking.

I think the no races after this weekend has more to do with the expansion of Avengers Campus.

Coco ride might also cause problems and we still don’t know what’s happening with DL Forward. It’s just a ton of construction in general.

I received an alert that the half marathon was open this afternoon via telegram; I was able to log in and type all my information but never could get through the payment page… am I the only one?
The half was open for more than half an hour, I tried two different browsers but no luck
Any cues on what I could do next time?
Does a computer work better that phone??

These races open and close almost at random at this point. Everyone can get as far as an open slot will let them, but only the confirmed payment page is proof that you're in. If it bounces you anytime before then, then it actually sold out while you were moving through the screens
