Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

For anyone who's received their bands, how long after customization did you get them?

Ok, just called IT and got some information. As I've posted we will be doing 3 split stays. First at BC, next Pop, and then FQ. We are AP holders and I have already customized 2 different sets of bands for our BC and Pop stays. I also have reserved FP+ for ALL 14 days of my trip. I was told today that EVEN THOUGH MDE let me do that even for my FQ stay and EVEN THOUGH they all show up in my reservations, that when we check out of Pop that day, all FP+ will expire at midnight. The system does NOT allow your FP+ to carry over to a resort that is not testing. So at my FQ stay, I will not have the FP+ even though I was able to reserve them. I would only have them for my BC and Pop stay. Thinking I better change that FQ stay now......

Oh no- we are in a similar situation but with two different resorts. Did they say if your APs will still work if they are linked to your MBs?

We're staying at AKL Jambo house October 17 - 20 and were able to customize and choose FP+, no issues.

Well, the only issue is that one member of our party has an expiring passport and we can't choose FP+ for all us. It expires on 9/15, so even though it's valid, the system knows it won't be valid when we travel. So we're going to renew that and add it, then do the FP+. :rotfl:

The CM said that our AP's would not be linked on the MB's either after midnight.

Try to choose the earliest possible time combinations and select those. After that you can go back and select later times... If it's earlier times you need, try a different combination of attractions that only contains one of your wanted options... then go back and change the attractions that you did not prefer... Again select the earliest times possible. It seems you can always change individual FP+ times to later, but never earlier.

this! i messed up my AK day and it would NOT let me move my Safaris FP back to its original (earlier time). it also wouldn't let me just replace them all (even though that's an option). i had to cancel all of them and then redo the entire day.

i do like that i can go in per attraction and adjust the FP time. sometimes, they spread things out too far (like Soarin' and Test Track--i don't need them to be two hours apart).

That's interesting. There is a poster on here who has APs and has been using FP+ rolling 7 days worth at a time. User name something like "delmar". From what I understand, once a day is done they can add another for a total of 7 days. I'm hoping this holds true as I have only 1 night at akv jambo before 9 nights at BWV. And I have FP+ booked for all 11 days.

I just customized my magic bands and made our fastpass+ selections for our trip October 13-19 and the POR. It was such a shock to go on today and find that I could do this.

The process was really simple, and I am happy with the fastpasses we have selected. On our final night we also did Illuminations, so that should be fun!

Since I have wanted to do this since testing began, I am thrilled to be part of the testing.

So I logged on to MDE just to see if I could add FP+ (Staying at WL in Oct - not testing, but you never know) and the FP+ screen opened up!!! And then it said something about the dates needing to be during my reservation and the screen disappeared.

Not nice!!

But hey - a trip to Disney is a trip to Disney. It's hard to be too bummed if you're GOING TO DISNEY!!! :thumbsup2

I was told that even if you are able to reserve your FP+ on days at a resort that is not testing it is still tied into a valid testing resort. That MB that you have them reserved on will expire everything at midnight of check out. It will not carry over to a resort that is not testing. If that makes sense. I just called and changed my FQ stay to AOA. I was already thinking of doing it anyway since it's so close to Pop will make it easier to switch. This FP+ stuff was just the nudge I needed. I worked to hard thinking about all those FP+ times and reserving them to be blindsided that they won't work for the last 4 nights of our trip!!

And just to be sure I called 3 different times and was all told the same thing each time. They want to keep the testing to resort specific so that is why no carrying over at this time to non testing resorts.

We have annual passes that are in MDE and we also have a hotel that is in there. We are staying at POR and it only let me choose selections for the days of our hotel stay. Nothing more, nothing less.

What a bummer- I wonder if they will have a lot of angry guests who made plans based on what the website said- only to be told upon arrival that it didn't mean anything and now they have no FPs.....

Exactly. I don't know how they aren't going to have to honor the FP+ when the system lets you do it. Most people are just going to assume the website is correct and not even question it.

I read a thread over on the DVC board that someone exchanged their AP vouchers and the tickets were only placed on their bands. They didn't get an AP card. How could a person in that situation think that their FP+ weren't valid?

So the people who are reserving one night at Pop Century will only be able to use their magic bands and fastpasses for one night?

We are staying at POR so we are testers but I am wondering about the people around here who recently reserved a room at Pop Century for one night expecting to use their magic bands and fastpasses after they move to their original resort.

Logged into DME 2 nights ago and had the option for FPP and choosing Magic Bands. We are staying at POR Oct 12-19.

The FPP system is pretty neat. I won't know if I like it or not until we are using it on site. The only thing I don't like is the limit of 3 FPP.

I find it hard to believe Disney will let people "trick" the system. I'm thinking your right. You will be able to use FPP one day only. Just my thinking.

So if all features expire at midnight when you check out when do they begin? I know the MB is supposed to be you MDE ticket too so some of it is active. But what if you are driving and want to hit the park before resort? Would your tickets and FP+ be active before check in? And if I am remembering correctly (i've read so much info) the MB will be available for off site guests too so same question.

Just saw someone asked similar question on new thread and answered "really don't know"
I miss the simple days:(
