Fireworks went off last nihgt without any rain (cloudy and cool). The show lasted about 15 minutes. There wer many people setting off their personal fireworks before the show. I think the weather kept some of the crowds away. I found a parking spot about half dozen blocks away. Could have got one closer but where I parked did not stuck in any traffic when the show ended. I prefer the fireworks on Canada Day. They are at the park just around the corner from the house and can walk to the park or wath them from my front lawn.

I went to see Shrek II today, and it lived up to the hype (IMHO) I was laughing OUT LOUD a lot! I loved the ending I could not stop laughing (the musical number). If you liked the first one you must see it! You must FEAR Puss....

PS I agree about the lack o eye candy in the LOTR's movies I too go just for the adventure.... same goes for Star Wars......but hey at least I'm not a trekie LOL

Heard a cool story in work today .... a woman who works in HR told her kids they are going to Newport RI for an extended holiday weekend ..... actually they are going to Disney World ! They won't know until they get in the car and start asking why are they heading north (to the airport ) instead of the other direction ..... her kids are 7 and 14 and it will be the 7 year old's first time there

Well, what can I say, doesn't time go by so fast??!! It seems like only yesterday I was on here and you were welcoming me back and then suddenly I AGAIN didn't have time to post and then suddenly it's like another month or something?! Anyways, I just wanted to stop in and say hi cos' I miss you all!!!

I started my new job this week and I'm hoping once I find my feet there I can get back into a routine that *includes* the DIS so, look out Angels, I'm coming back LOL

E - i went and bought LOTR tonight! got it at Best Buy on your recommendation and got the magazine - all I can say is yummy eye candy on the cover! if you like fireworks, come to a Pirate game when they have the fireworks - they are awesome!

Well, DH got nothing accomplished today. It's funny how I can get all kinds of things done when I'm watching DD. I need to buy some more plants tomorrow and get them in before the rain comes.

Hi everyone! I just got back about 20 minutes ago from the end of the year party for Leah's Brownie troop. I just love how half of the people leave without helping to clean up. We had a great time. The girls got their awards from the cookie sale tonight. Leah was the queen with a huge bag of prizes from her 480 boxes.

I need to go buy ROTK tomorrow. We had promised it to Logan for his birthday back in April.

I did want to be sure to wish E a happy anniversary.....must be something about May. Lew & I met at a wedding on May 28.....just 21 short years ago.

It was another long day. We are studying for finals each night. I remember now what I didn't like about school. But Friday is the last day. Then I'll have two bickering kids at home. Just kidding.

David and Amy are going to teach vacation Bible school to Native Americans near Watonga next Tuesday through Friday. They'll be staying there, so Allen and I will have a mini vacation. We are already making plans to do some things together in the evening while the kids are away, such as a movie, out to eat, etc.

I wish someone would surprise me with a trip to Disney World. It sounds really good to me right now. Sandy, does she want to adopt me?

The fireworks sound lovely. The 4th of July just isn't the same if you don't go to a display.
