LOL...I know I'm such an original!

I registered way back when I first got a computer and this was my first ever site to register for. I think there was only 2 or 3 different forums back then and it took me months to realize there was more than the 1 I was posting on. I couldn't figure out how my sister had so many posts...and then she told me about the other forums.

I had no idea that you could make up screen names. I was such a newbie back then. It was my first time ever using a computer and my elementary school aged kids were teaching me all about what to do.

Aww, that was a low blow. NKOTB has absolutely nothing to do with American Idol. I couldn't care less if you like Gokey. I don't. I love, love, love Lambert. Many others don't. Doesn't make me like him any less.

tbh i'm sick of ANYONE'S sob story. that doesn't make me vote for them, if anything it turns me off from wanting to vote for them. at least last season once we got rid of Gokey the sob stories stopped.

Yes! This is me too. Their life story has nothing to do with how they sing and perform. It's a clear indication of how AI tries to manipulate votes.

That's my favorite thread on there. Once we get into it and all the contestants take on their "roles" I get a kick out of the photoshop thread. Some of those posters are incredibly clever.

VFTW, though they can be very vile and unnecessary sometimes, can come up with the most creative chops and information of any site out there. I frequent their nemesis site on the AI site and they are soooooo right about those "fan"atics!!

I still have hopes for this season. I am hoping this week was just a case of nerves for everyone and that they all learned a lesson on song choice.

Of course this could be like the Fantasia year and that will not be a good thing. I want to be able to vote for someone this year.

Why does everyone not like him?

i didn't care for his voice, first of all. he just kind of screamed his way thru songs(which is pretty much the same reason i can't stand Adam Lambert)

and then after a few weeks it all started turning into stuff about "my dead wife" and i'm like .....Yes we know...it's awful that that happened to her and i can't ever imagine what it's like to go thru, but....can you sing already?? you're on a singing show trying to get votes for SINGING not sympathy votes.

but i can't really blame him 100% for that because it seems like Idol really pushes that during the whole season.

The back stories didn't bug me till this year. A man who loses his wife at such a young age... that is rare and sad . A man whose wife is having a baby.... ... what the?

You cannot blame them at all, the writers for the show like the stories and they shove them in our faces.
