Can I pop back in to defend my "Bucky looks like George Clooney" remark? I know you guys think I've lost my mind! I think they both have the same smile, similar teeth and eyes. The hair and polish, or lack thereof, are completely different, of course. I was going to post side by side shots of them, but couldn't find one of Bucky smiling like that. Boy, what a perfect set up for the tag fairy! "Thinks Bucky Covington looks like George Clooney!" Thank goodness, the TF doesn't follow my posts!

I'm sure this has been hashed out before - my apologies in advance. I'm new to this AI thread so here goes....

Does anyone else cringe whenever Ryan goes from person to person announcing whether that person received the least amount of votes? I find this whole process demeaning. To me, it's as if he's saying "you're safe this week - you're not the loser of the group." Then he comes up to the person who did receive the least votes and it's like, "Your the loser, too bad."

Maybe this builds excitement, I don't know. I can't offer a better solution at this time. I just don't feel comfortable with this process. Anyone else feel this way? Just curious.

That is so funny! I just did too and was coming back here to post the same thing He's awesome!!

His album will be out in the summer. It will be promoted in the USA FINALLY!!!! His first album (the idol one which was produced in six weeks) wasn't the greatest but he has spent a year getting this one together, working with some half decent song writers. He is also an amazing violin player, so hopefully he will incorporate some of that into his new album. He does a mean rendition of Devil Went down to Georgia.

Glad you like him! It was a really fun season when he was competing. Apparently his vote tally was so much higher than everyone else's every week that the one judge said, "It will take a thermonuclear explosion for you not to win this thing." I doubt that we will ever have an amazing season like that one again.

Make sure you listen to House of the Rising Sun and especially Nature Boy.

On one of the clips, the idol contestants are all playing instruments and doing a Gordon Lightfoot medley. You can hear what an impressive player he is. That is the Group number that is in red bold (top 6).

His mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer this week, so things are pretty sad in the Kalan fan club right now.

Yep. Only one will be voted off till the finale. I also think Kevin may get voted off next or it'll be Bucky. I think next weeks competition will be hard for them singing a Stevie Wonder song ?

I've heard great things about Canadian Idol 2. I followed 3 a bit online, and it sounds like it was a pretty disappointing season (Like Season 3 of AI!) I wanted Ashley Letaio (sp??) to do well, but it stinks she was voted out so early.

She was my favourite. I don't know how she got booted so early. I think it was just because everyone figured she would be safe. It was a rather vanilla season.

Any of the top 6 from Season 2 could easily have won in Season 3.

The only two others who come close to me are Mandisa and Chris. Mandisa is pretty good, but doesn't excite me or anything. Chris has a great rock voice, but the type of music he performs is everywhere and he would simply add to the oversaturation.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, except of the country singers. But of course I hate country music, so I am really biased.
I am a huge fan of Chris, and I hope that he goes a long way!!
