Final report! - Cant believe I booked Super Bowl weekend -

Im actually with you on preferring dinosaur to indy. I dont like either I dont like how Jerky they are. I hope the new indy is different.

You went from too cheap for uber to Minnie van 🤣 I am def too cheap for Minnie van 🤣 But wanting to book first class flight every time 🤣 I wanted to laugh the first time I saw the bellman outfit at vgf. It reminded me if the movie "get out"
Could be wrong but I don’t believe they are altering the ride system at all. Just retheming

I don't talk much about AKV because the animals are a huge trade off for the resort being bus only. But with that said AKV would be a resort only stay for us, with maybe MK if we committed to paying the cost for a Minnie Van. Them dropping you off where the buses go is pretty great.
In my dreams where I can allocate 7+ days to WDW in pleasant weather, I think we’d do a couple nights at VGF or PVB (studio) to do MK and special events, then stay at AKV in a villa for 2-3 night of RnR (and laundry, lol) with the transit day dedicated to AK (or maybe AK plus Epcot), and then the final 3 nights at BCV/BWV mostly focused on Epcot with maybe a jaunt to DHS.

PSA: at MK Minnie Van makes a huge difference but at DHS and Epcot it’s like a 1m longer walk with Lyft and at AK, I’m 99% sure the Lyft pickup zone is closer than the bus. We Minnie Van or bus to MK, but everywhere else we are Lyft (or walk/boat/skyliner)— the other awesome thing about Lyft for ropedrop (or sleeping in and cutting a LL/dining res close) is you can reserve your exact pick up time in advance.
I know people will think this is crazy but I preferred Dinosaur to Indiana Jones at DLR.
This is objectively correct and there are at least a dozen of us who recognize it. 🤣
The 2D is so much better, we saw soooo many things we didnt notice while wearing those stupid glasses before. but its possible they were new additions.
I agree with this ride take too— noticed so much more of the physical set (especially being in the oven but also in the pantry).

Re: jerkiness, growing my my friend’s dad was an imagineer and they got to go on Indy before it opened to the rest of us— I was SO jealous, but she told me it was much jerkier before opening and they toned it down because of complaints. Makes me wonder if they could tone Dino up or down without too much effort— I like it better (though this may just be taking a jewel of my home park for granted!) but agree that it does seem even jerkier than Indy.

At HS I would agree that they are pretty close to equal depending on which bus you have to take. We have only done it a few times when the skyliner had broken down as we usually drive to HS and always do for AK. The nice thing about the bus stop at HS though is it is covered providing cover from the sun and rain where the MinnieVan / Lyft just is open.

This is a great plan.

I should book in advance, I’ve always just looked when I’m ready to go and usually it’s long waits. But I haven’t looked many times.

Wow! Even more jerky.

Guys.. I never ever thought I would say this. I’m not really excited to go to Disneyland in 1 week. Did I finally over do it and out Disney myself??!!!! 😫😫

I am exhausted. Unpacking to pack again. I’m sure I’ll come around.
Wow! I've had trips in back to back months, but never that close!

I understand why you would be less excited than usual. I would just try to make it a super relaxed trip. Enjoy the resort, shopping, restaurants, etc, and focus on the things that are not in WDW.

We will be doing Goofys Kitchen and Moonlight Magic. So should be an easy trip, although on the way to DLR we are stopping in Palm Springs for the in-laws.
