I think this is just a rumor - have not read about it anywhere else. (at least I am hoping and praying it is just a rumor!!) So many rumors start and most are just that so let's hope this is the case too!

An End to a Riegel Run At AMC

According to a posting on her official message board, Emmy nominated All My Children star Eden Riegel (Bianca Montgomery) will be leaving the show next month.

Riegel, who joined the cast of All My Children in July 2000, has been rumored to be mulling an exit from AMC for some time. Recently, the actress inked a new contract with All My Children, though the terms were never revealed and it was widely rumored that the contract extension would last only a few months.

During her tenure at All My Children, the 25-year-old Riegel has amassed awards and critical acclaim for her portrayal of one of daytime's first openly lesbian characters. In addition to numerous Soap Opera Central Dankies - Riegel was named Outstanding Overall Soap Performer in 2004 and has won Outstanding Younger AMC Performer nods in each of the past five years - Riegel earned Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Younger Lead Actress in 2001, 2002 and 2004.

Riegel reportedly already taped her final All My Children scenes. Those scenes are scheduled to air on February 24th, 2005.

Riegel will relocate from Manhattan to the West Coast where she will actively audition for the upcoming pilot season.

While fans had speculated that Bianca would leave Pine Valley and go to Poland to be with her former girlfriend, Lena, that appears unlikely. However, there is chattacer that the role of Bianca Montgomery could be recast, according to setside sources.

An All My Children spokesperson was unavailable for comment.

I also read in Soap Opera Digest today that Elizabeth Hendrickson is also leaving on February 24th. It looks like Bianca and Maggie will leave the show together.

That is interesting! I'd rather see that, than see her re-cast I guess. You cannot replace Eden Reigel. I'd rather she not leave at all, that's awful. And so quick too! At least that means this Johnny story will end then too, ewwww, makes me want to shower.

OK, now for my comments, who do I hate most this week? Johnny, for obvious reasons, JR, for my usual reasons, Maggie, for being an idiot, Ryan for yelling at Ethan/Kendall all the time or David, for trying to hang Jamie. What a jerk, so glad Babe didn't fall for it, and told him to fix it or lose her!!!

LOVED Erica's line today, "Maria - boom boom - Grey", that had me snorting out loud!!!!!!!!!!!!! She had a good talk with Zach today, can't stand him, but liked their talk. Still love me? Yes!!! She was cute.

I like Bo, can he stay in PV awhile??? Derrick could use some help.

I dont see Bianca ever leaving town, especially since her daughter just got a company and she is so close with Kendall and her mom. (but then again this is the soaps and obviously these writers make us think one way and then make us turn the other - that make sense?)

I would have to see a recast but I think I would hate to see the character gone more.

Besides Jonathan making me want to puke??

Bianca stood outside Maggie's door listening to the awful things Jonathan said to Maggie, including playing a porn tape of 2 women & asking if it put her in the mood. He's such a slime! Eventually she burst in & tried to get Maggie to see how awful he was, but Maggie stood up for him AGAIN! Maggie kicked Binks out & Binks ran to see Ryan.

Ethan tried to convince Ryan that his brother was a jerk, but Ryan was an idiot....again.

Babe told David to go fix things with the police about Jamie killing Paul. David showed up to "recant everything" right after Jamie confessed to showing up at the cemetery right after shots were fired & finding Paul dead. Beau doesn't think David did it & Derrick doesn't think Jamie did it.

That's all I can remember right now - except that the had the actor who plays Jonathan do the public service announcement about abuse today & it gave me the creeps! He read those cue cards the same way he delivers his lines - with that maniacal, sullen stare.

I agree that the Public Sevice announcement from Jonathan was very creepy.
I hate the whole Maggie/Jonathan story. It is just too frightening. Ryan needs to wake up and realize he has a creep for a brother (if he really is his brother...)

And on the shallow comments...So what did you think of Erica's earings today. It looked liked she had a scale on her ears.

I've suspected that the "spoiler" was coming for some time now. I thought maybe the actress was finally going to take her long delayed acceptance to Harvard. She's very good on AMC but I'm not sure that she'll make it big in Hollywood -- but stranger things have happened. Kelly Ripa probably gave all the regulars ideas.

I don't think they'll do anything that will "kill off" the character.

Speaking of missing characters -- I thought it was funny when Greenlee mentioned that Simone was running Fusion. At least someone remembered the girl....and that they did have a business. LOL!

The Maria "boom boom" Grey line was hysterical!

So sad to hear that Eden Riegel is leaving. I agree with you all that she is one of the best - if not the best - actresses on the show. Even today - she can "say" so many things without saying anything at all - her facial expressions are outstanding. It was so clear how she felt about what was going on with Maggie and Jonathan today, even when she wasn't saying anything at all (and thank God she went right over to Ryan's, afterwards, and finally told him everything!). She is just amazing and she (and the character of Bianca) will truly be missed on the show. Maybe she will eventually come back, as Cameron Mathison did??? We can hope!

Now I'm really starting to get scared about the possibility of them eventually pairing Erica with Zach - based on Jack's facial expression in the coming scenes for tomorrow's episode, when Erica is telling him that she is "using" Zach to get back at Krystal, Babe, and David..........he looks disgusted.......hopefully this won't be the beginning of the end (AGAIN) for Erica and Jack........I just want to see the 2 of them get married and be happy, already!

I thought they looked like mobiles (from over a baby's crib) LOL, they were very distracting.

I don't know why Ryan wouldn't believe his brother could be a creep. His other brother raped a woman, and then took off before he could be put in jail (after beating some people up and letting his brother take the fall). Why not this brother too?? And most importantly, are there any other Lavery brothers that we don't know about that may ooooze into town and spread slime???

Very good point about Braden, Erika! And I think that Ryan mentioned that there was at least one SISTER, when Jonathan first came to town (when he was telling Greenlee that he and Braden "got out" as soon as they could, leaving Jonathan and their other "brothers and sisters" behind to deal with their father.......)!

I also agree about Erica's earrings - the rest of her outfit was so nice, but those earrings looked like mobiles or something from outer space!

I was checking out the soap opera central website today and found some startling news!! This website is reporting that Eden Reigel will be leaving the show next month! Her last show will air 2/24. It didn't specify whether she will be written off or if the part will be recast. The article mentioned that she will be relocating to the west coast to audition for pilot season. I was shocked when I read the article- she is such a good actress and really brings a lot to the show.

Are they gonna wrap this icky story up sooner than we thought? Ryan seems to finally be having second thoughts, and they showed Maggie and Binks in tears together. Plus, someone has to save Lilly from him. Everyone knows if Lilly says he hurt her, that it's the truth! He was so creepy with her today, ewwwwwwwwwwwww.

Vintage Erica to Air in AMC Marathon

SOAPnet, the Disney-owned 24-hour cable soap channel, has announced plans to run a marathon of vintage All My Children episodes featuring original cast member and Daytime Emmy winner Susan Lucci (Erica Kane).

The marathon, cheekily dubbed "I Love Lucci," will feature six episodes hand-picked by Lucci. For several of the episodes, this is the first time that they will be rebroadcast since they originally aired.

Here are the episodes that are scheduled to air:


March 15th, 1970: Erica proves herself a force to be reckoned with as she pursues Jeff Martin.

April 20th, 1970: Erica reveals her big plans for life in her famous, "I want to be special and I am going to be!" malt shop speech.

November 27th, 1979: Tom Cudahy confronts Erica about her secretly using birth control pills.

February 16th, 1983: Erica shoots a commercial at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

November 25th, 1986: Erica tries to bust Jeremy Hunter out of prison via helicopter.

February 9th, 1988: Erica gives birth to Bianca.

November 13th, 2000: Erica, high on Libidozone, hops on a piano and sings at The Valley Inn.

The special "I Love Lucci" marathon will air on February 12th, 2005 from 700am to 100pm EST on SOAPnet. Check your local listings for the channel and availability in your area.

This is such sad news about Eden leaving. I just read about it in the Soap Opera Digest book. They stated it will be a happy ending how she leaves. I'm thinking Bianca and Maggie will be leaving together maybe? Thats to bad! I really like Eden as an actress. I wonder if she'll stick around for Erica and Jack's wedding? Check out these upcoming SPOILERS.......

1. Maggie ends it all with Jonathan, who in turn begins to follow Bianca. (THANK GOD!)
2. What was once true, but was no longer, becomes true again for Ryan Lavery as the blood of Chris Stamp is revealed to not be the same running through his veins.
3. Jamie fights for Babe's future, and the future of her son.
4. Kelly Buchanan returns to Pine Valley, to help Babe/Jamie, while Kevin makes an offer Babe may not be able to refuse.
5. Custody of Baby James/Ace/Adam III won't be decided until next month.
