~ All My Children Fans ~ What's new in Pine Valley? *Rebecca returning as Greenlee* Part 2

Jonathan assured Ryan he would call a therapist. He pulled out Ryan's motorcyle gloves from when he was a kid and a pill bottle that had candy in it that Ryan gave to him as a kid (I missed what all that was about). As Jonathan was walking out of Ryan's apt Lily was pretending to be a maintenance person and followed him.

Jonathan touched Greenlee yesterday when she spilled the OJ he grabbed her hard by the arm.

Babe and Jaie were given bail- $500,000 each I believe. Bianca told Babe that she has not forgiven her.

The previews showed Jonathan alone with Miranda.

Lily was wearing this crazy princess kind of costume today-- didn't really understand that :confused3

Crazy princess outfit, oh Lord I hope they don't do the stereotypical autism things, that would tick me off (my DS is autistic).

I think she was trying to go "undercover" & she knew she was supposed to dress differently so no one would notice her. That's why Danielle helped her get into a janitor's outfit. Danielle doesn't know what Lily is doing, though.

Did anyone hear yesterday when Erica was ranting at Binks, she said she sat by her bedside for days, no weeks, when she was in a coma?? Call me goofy, but I don't recall her being in a coma for weeks????

Johnny boy is so icky, was the candy the pill bottle he was holding when he was alone, or was that a different bottle??? Ryan was such a JERK to Kendall today. I hate it when soap people do that. So many people treated him that way when he was accused of rape, yet here he is treating others that way. UGH.

What happend the last half. Had to take DS to the doctor's, I'm dying I had to leave as Babe and Jamie made their big, we have the DNA results speech!

I read another rumor, SOD digest/ SOW are reporting that.........look down to see.....

John Callahan(Edmund) has been let go and will be making a dramatic exit.

Babe was allowed on the witness stand and confirmed that she had a DNA test done and the baby was JR's. The judge then ordered that a new DNA test be done under the guidence of the court. At the end Ethan walks in to the judges chamders and thanks her for her verdict and that basically he will contribute greatly to her next campaign for judge (so we are to assume he bought her off).

Jonathan went to Bianca's and Marian left the Miranda with him. He was really scary.

I don't mean to be mean but yeah Edmund leaving. I'm sorry but ever since he's been doing the wheelchair thing, not fun.

:cool1: Don't really like him lately.

Wow everyone is leaving AMC. Just saw another rumor that Eva LaRue is talking about leaving the show too. She wants to be closer to her family on the west coast. In a recent interview with Eva, she hinted that both of them might be taking exits from the show. That's too bad. No wonder Edmund has been acting weird on the show. Like his character is turning to a bad guy. Hmmmm.

Jonathan is giving me the creeps (ughh!). Poor Miranda. Can't wait for Ryan to figure him out. Oh and I also heard there are no plans of getting rid of Jonathan. In fact after Maggie leaves, he will get involved with Simone!

Here's some mini-spoilers

Ethan warns Zach that he will destroy him

Myrtle encourages Bianca to fight for what she wants

Maggies breaks up with Jonathon

Babe manages to get inside the Buchanan mansion to see the kid

CAN'T MISS Feb. 9th: Ryan learns that Chris Stamp WASN'T his biological father.

NEXT WEEK: Ryan doesn't believe Jonathon. Erica is out for Babe's blood. Babe makes a big courtroom confession. Tad has a tough task ahead of him

Wow - if Ed-dumb and Maria both leave..........who will live in Wildwind?? Aidan and Anita?? They would be the only members of that family (albeit by marriage) left in PV! And they can't sell the estate because the family mausoleum is there. Maybe Dimitri will come back to claim it??

I really don't like where I think they are starting to go with the Jonathan storyline - it seems like he is beginning to convince Ryan (and others) that he (Ryan) also has unresolved anger issues - like he's going to try to drive Ryan crazy too, now. Very sick individual - he had better not touch Miranda! And I hope that they don't put him with Simone, after Maggie leaves - Simone deserves a nice guy, for a change!

I couldn't help but catch one of the spoilers, even though I was trying to avoid them - now Chris Stamp ISN'T Ryan's father??? How many "fathers" can this poor man have?!!

I hated the way that Ryan talked to Kendall, the other day. It probably ripped her heart out to have him tell her how worthless she is and how she'll never change.......ESPECIALLY while she was defending and protecting his wife! She had a great comeback line, though, when she asked him what happened to his "trust" (for Greenlee) that he supposedly valued so highly (since he always threw Kendall's lack of trust in her face).

I hope that they are not beginning to go with the "self-fulfilled prophecy" theme in having Ethan pay off that judge - like now he really "IS turning into a Cambias" (whatever that means!).

JR was so rude to everyone, yesterday, but I especially can't believe how he disrespected Brooke and told her that she is "nothing" - she practically helped raise him, back when she and Dixie would take turns having the boys at their homes. There was no excuse for him to talk to anyone that way, but especially not Brooke. Then again, after some of the hurtful things that he's been saying to Tad, lately, nothing should surprise us any more!

It will be interesting to see what Bianca ultimately says if they have her take the stand (why weren't Erica or Kendall there to support her?).

Recap for Friday's Show:

JR has Bianca called to the witness stand so that she can tell the court that Babe told her in Florida that she had proof that Ace/James/III is hers. Bianca gets to the witness stand and Babe bursts into court saying that Bianca shouldn't have to go through this that she has the results of the DNA test. Judge orders new DNA test. This was good. Prior to going up on the stand Bianca tells JR that she just might has amnesia from her fall and that she might not remember when she gets on the stand if Babe said that she had a DNA test done. He says "you wouldn't lie" and she says "you must have me confused with Saint Bianca" . I thought that was awesome! Way to go Bianca!

Greenlee confesses to Ryan that she doesn't trust Jonathan after Ryan went to Kendall's house and read her the riot act about hiring Aidan to get the goods on Jonathan.

Maggie told Jonathan that Bianca kissed her and told her that she loved her.

Jonathan leaves Maggie and goes to Bianca's house. Marian is babysitting Miranda while Bianca is at court. Jonathan shows up at the door and all of a sudden Marian gets a phone call that she has to leave. Good guy that Jonathan is says "I'll watch Miranda". Last seen was creepy Jonathan with the baby. I missed what he said to her.

There was something going on with Kendall and Zach about Ethan, but I fast forwarded through those parts.

Previews for February show that Bianca and Miranda are trapped by Jonathan and the only person that can save them is Babe. Stay tuned.

I think yesterday was cleavage day in PV. Between Greenlee (who normally doesn't do cleavage), Marian and Krystal, there was more cleavage than a Victoria Secret commercial.

I had heard Ed-dumb was leaving, but they said rumor. Honestly, I won't miss him at all, a couple of years ago I would have, but not now. Maria, I think she should stick around and be happy, but if she goes now, I won't shed a tear. Very good question though, who will live at Weird-wind??? I'd love to see Dimitri (Michael Nader) come back.

Why would they make Chris Stamp not Ryans father, after they had to go so far fetched to make us belive he was in the first place??? Does anyone remember when Alex and Dimitri left so suddenly, we were led to believe that they had received info that would impact Ryans life?? And we were never told what it was? I'm guessing they are just going to tell us that Ryan is in fact Johnny's full brother and not bring this up?

JR is just plain evil, how could he talk to Brooke that way, she wasn't even doing anything. He is totally unredeemable. I hope Cady McClain was let go from her other show, and they can get her back. I'd love to see her come back to town and shame some sense into her boy. She would just die (all over again LOL) if she saw him now!!!

Please don't put Johnny with Simone, let's find Simone a real man to be happy with (or better yet, let her be happy to be single for awhile). Heck, just bring her back in any capacity, she's been gone way too long.

That was a real nice lingerie dress that Kendall was wearing yesterday, yikes.

I get tired of reading about Erica making Babe pay, enough already you hypocrite!!! And Bianca told her to let it go, can't she ever listen?

I liked when Bianca threw out to Erica "I though vengence was on God's to-do list"

Edmund leaving...here is the article I found:

Callahan's 13-Year AMC Run to End
Posted Friday, February 04, 2005 11:41:50 AM

Though it has been rumored for well over a year, Soap Opera Central has learned that John Callahan (Edmund Grey) will now officially be ending his 13-year run with All My Children.

According to inside sources, Callahan's exit is a result of the financial constraints that the show has been undergoing. As with all of daytime television, shrinking ratings have also meant shrinking budgets.

Rumors of Callahan's imminent departure first circulated in January 2004, when Edmund was shot and left paralyzed. Soon after, Callahan's character underwent risky surgery to possibly cure his paralysis. Insiders tell Soap Opera Central that one script draft had Edmund dying on the operating table.

Later, an interview with Eva LaRue (Maria Santos; Callahan's on-screen wife and estranged real-life wife), hinted that both performers might take exits from the show. LaRue discussed a desire to move to the West Coast to be closer to her family. Meanwhile, LaRue pledged that she would be true to the show and its storylines despite the challenges she and Callahan were having in their personal lives.

Callahan joined the cast of All My Children in April 1992. Prior to landing the AMC role, Callahan appeared on Santa Barbara, Days of our Lives and General Hospital.

A final airdate has not been released and an ABC spokesperson declined to offer comment for this story.

Thanks for the article about Ed-dumb, Christine! (And the spoilers, too, of course! :) ) I wonder how they will write him off the show.........and I wonder if the "budget constraints" are real, or if that's just an "excuse" to get rid of him? After all, they seem to have money to keep some other far lesser actors around on the ABC Soaps..............

I think the budget contraints line is just a way for AMC to let Callahan save a little face. I don't know if it's how they are writing Edmund or if it's the way Callahan has been playing him but that character has been lackluster for quite a long time IMHO.

In one way I am a little sad though. I always liked the Dimitri/Edmund Storyline in Pine Valley and someday hoped they would bring Dimi back in one form or another. Oh well, it is still a little sad to see such long time character depart. I think it has been really strange that they have kept Edmund in a wheelchair for so long. These paralysis storylines never seem to play out for as long as this one has.

It's really a little strange that so many front burner characters may leave all around the same time. I mean Bianca, maggie, Edmund and possibly Maria, I wonder how they will fill the gap. Part of me is afraid that they will use all those big salaries to help finance a Cady McClain return as Dixie. I am not sure I care to see that, but maybe it could be interesting. I wonder if Cady wants to play a Grandma at her age too. Just thinking outloud, so to speak.

I will be glad to see the Jonathon story come to a close, but can't figure out what reason that they have to make Chris Stamp not Ryan's father again.. I thought Ryan and Chris had a DNA test, but maybe I am remembering things wrong too. Of course this is Pine Valley and rewriting some history isn't all that unusual. :earboy2:

I agree. I think that's strange about the salary issue. It seems like AMC has a lot of good actors not doing anything. They are wasting good talent. Look at Brooke, Adam, Opal, Jack, Liza, Palmer, Aidan. Luckily Tad had a fling with Krystal or else he wouldn't have much of a story. Such a waste of good talents. It's like they are focusing on Kendall, Ryan, Greenlee, Jonathan & Ethan for example. The younger actors. Even Erica doesn't have a "major" storyline. What's going on with Danielle & Reggie? They haven't showed them together in awhile, unless I missed an episode?
