A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

This boy does not care if she eats the entire thing......:rotfl2:
I down and one left to sneak around while eating it!

I think you have been reading the back of that pink tee shirt and are taking it way too seriously! :lmao:
You must be referring to this... :cutie:

Finally getting back to your TR to comment on those Fit Flops - I love 'em! Very cute. I might have to scope them out on our upcoming trip.

Your dinner at R&C looks delicious, it seems to be getting a lot of rave reviews lately. Hopefully we will be able to try it on a future trip!

Check out the fit flops for sure! Just be sure to read the little pamphlet that comes with them. It talks about getting the perfect fit, you actually have to put them on in the store and walk in them. I did it. They were a bit pricey so I didn't want to waste my money. When I got home and checked stores I realized that I didn't spend as much on them there as I would have at home. The best part is the Disney touches and you can't get that anywhere but there!
R&C was great, I highly recommend it. I plan on eating there at least once next year!

I got my class list today (26 kids: 14 girls, 12 boys). We're spending tomorrow at Splash Country for a last hurrah before I start on Monday. I really should spend it in my classroom, but I promised my kids we'd have one more day off together!

Splash Country wins hands-down! That classroom will be there more than you want it to be in the days ahead!

Planning on it!:thumbsup2

I've been working all week and don't see any stopping until it's done. At last count I have 18 2nd graders and I think it's about half of each. Have fun at Splash! If we're lucky we will have some pool time here at home.

Enjoy hanging out at home today. That's what I'm doing, but no pool for me. I don't even have a bathtub big enough to play in!

It is my hope that all of you have a productive and exciting year of school!

back-to-school.jpg

I think I'd be happy to have a classroom like that. I bet they didn't test every other minute!

I wish the same to all of my fellow teachers, as well. May we all have a happy, productive year ahead, and may our weekends, vacations, and break times be as wonderful as we want and need them to be!

Shocker is spackeling (sp) a bathroom this morning. I plan to stop by school and bring some things home that I wanted to try out but they don't seem to be making the cut.
Then there is a house to be cleaned. We have our exchange student arriving on Monday and we want him to have a good first impression of us.....:rotfl2:
Little does he know we truly live in our house, I am not a slave to anything besides the laundry...
:laundy:

Hello my name is BD and I am a Dis Addict. I do admit I have had Dis Withdrawals while I was away. I know it's an addicition that someday I will overcome, but at this time I have fallen off the wagon and returned!!

So much to comment on......where do I start. Oh great updates...as usual.

I love Disney Magic, I am so EXCITED that Baylor got the basketball and didn't even have to spend HIS own money to get it....or yours!! :goodvibes

I am sorry about the bum gum!! However, it seems "unlogical" to BLAME my Brother and my Disnephew for this incident!! It appears that they were "busy" with some "quality" Father-Son time and unable to check where you were placing your bum prior to you placing it there?? I hate it when people are so disrespectful and don't discard trash in it's proper place!! We are for sure doing Kim Possible Mission next time we go........I want a Kim Possible story too!!! :rotfl2: Besides we will be able to do it for as long as we want to, with no ADR's to make it to!! :lmao:

Though, I will admit the food in all your pictures do look good. Talking about the food looking good........might I point out in the pictures of the buffet, that I do believe that Shocker's plate seemed "prettier" than YOURS did!!! It appeared that HE took the time to arrange his plate.........just saying!!! :confused3

It appears that the Pixie Dust is hanging with you, getting to move up the rail with such a great view of the illuminations!! :thumbsup2

I also hope all you teachers (who I know are NOT paid enough for all you do for the children of this great country) have a great school year!! I am so looking forward to the start of school here!!!

I am sure your exchange student is in for the year of his life!!!! It is my guess that he will be the happiest exchange student in the U.S this year!!! Besides he won't have to worry about doing his own laundry and I suspect with Baylor to lead the way, he will hit the ground running!!! I just know that you all will have a great year!! :goodvibes

Oh yea, the basketballs, well, we will talk about that later.:rolleyes1

IF they hadn't been squabbling I would have stuck around and not sat in that mess.....

Next trip? Are you holding out on me?!? I can't wait to hear all about your Kim Possible "magic".

He did it all for you!

It was awesome! The view was incredible and to be able to sit in a chair and relax, nobody crowding in at the last minute... well it was just about perfect!:goodvibes

I also hope all you teachers (who I know are NOT paid enough for all you do for the children of this great country) have a great school year!! I am so looking forward to the start of school here!!!
Thank you so much for you kind thoughts! While I'm not exactly looking forward to the sound of the alarm going off in the morning I am thankful to have a job.

I can only imagine how nervous and excited he must be at this time. Baylor is so excited, he's about to pop!:yay:

I did a little giggle at your peacomment and pea picture and DH wanted to know what I was laughing at. SO, trying to explain to him why that was funny, just made it seem not so funny anymore. Kinda brought me down a little.

Yea, I know, sometimes you just have to be there, much can get lost in the translation....

Sunday June, 8

Today was our day for breakfast at Tusker House, I really wanted to get in before the park opened but as it happened all I could get was an ADR for 10:10 which actually worked out just perfect for us. We had not been doing a very good job of waking up with the alarm.
We made it over to AK right around 9:30. Marc and Baylor went to check in for breakfast, we had encountered a very long line here in March and so we didn't want to take any chances of waiting an hour past our time again. So with them heading to Tusker House I turned right and made my way to EE for fast passes.
I knew today was the day that Jackie and crew were to be in AK so I was keeping an eye out for them. She and I had joked about me calling out to her in a park, "hey Jackie" and that's just what happened! Just as I passed the island where the apes are there they were, she, Connor and Chelsea! So I, totally beside myself called out "HEY JACKIE:banana::banana::banana:" We stopped and chatted for a few minutes and then headed off in our opposite directions. It was fun running into them and nice to see that they were just as normal as they seem on the DIS! AND yes, Connor stewing about getting to Maharajah was very normal.
I grabbed our fast passes and fast walked back to Tusker House. The guys had already been seated! Oh my gosh, where were all the people? I made it just in time for Goofy to come by and say hi.

057-5.jpg

Then we headed off to fill our plates! This must be Marc's because I know that I didn't get a donut.

058-5.jpg

Baylor making is "special face" this is the smile we are going to give each other when we meet in the hall this year
.

059-4.jpg

Then along came the gang, up first was Donald.

060-2.jpg

Then the Big Cheese!

061-4.jpg

Here's my selections...

062-4.jpg

Then last but not least was Daisy!

063-4.jpg

Baylor joined in the celebration. I bet this is the last trip he will partake is such festivities...

064-4.jpg

Here are a few pictures I snapped inside Tusker House.

Another light for LL...

076-4.jpg

After breakfast we had time to ride Dinosaur, this is not Marc's favorite by any measure but he tolerates it for us
.

On our way over we thought of our good friend BD!

Cont. in next post...

We headed underground for some research.

082-4.jpg

084-4.jpg

086-4.jpg

I snapped the wrong picture but it cracks me up!

087-4.jpg

Here we are, right up front!

089-4.jpg

Slightly disturbing...

090-4.jpg

Hmmmm, does anyone notice the basketball, where do you think we were? Oh my gosh, more fun and games for Baylor!

091-4.jpg

092-4.jpg

093-4.jpg

He's still smiling as he bounces....

094-4.jpg

And shoots...

095-4.jpg

and scores!

096-4.jpg

He chose a very long orange and black snake which I quickly stashed because we were on our way...

097-2.jpg

To EE!

098-2.jpg

Baylor excused himself to wait in the dump shop and off Marc and I went.

Cont. in next post.

One last glace over my shoulder at all of our gear...

110-2.jpg

Then up we climbed for our date with the Yeti...

111-2.jpg

112-2.jpg

113-2.jpg

114-2.jpg

We had made it to the top, but something had gone terribly wrong...

115-2.jpg

That was quite a view up there with nowhere to go...

116-2.jpg

118-2.jpg

Well folks, no more pictures for a while because I was busy screaming like a baby!
I did take a couple of the Yeti encounter but he didn't show up in them. Sorry no real proof of his existence will come from Ashton...

But I tell you, I saw him right there on that rock! Honest I did!

120-2.jpg

The proof we were there though!

121-2.jpg

Look at Marc's hand, he is filming the ride with the Flip Video.

122-2.jpg

Baylor again worried about toting my bags, I think he really likes this one!

123-2.jpg

Plenty of room for my park bags with these baskets... but Baylor is about to get on backwards....

124-2.jpg

Let's try that one again... There will be no back peddling on this trip!

125-2.jpg

More rickshaw pulling.

126-2.jpg

and some prayer flags.

128-2.jpg

Beautiful and lush! The water looked cool and inviting..... Do I sound like a travel brochure?

131-3.jpg

All on our way to Rafiki's....

It was really neat running into you on our first morning at Disney! :goodvibes We try to appear pretty normal...:rotfl2:

Ah, this post made me wish I was headed to Tusker House for breakfast tomorrow! It really is just so delicious!!!

He he! Too funny that you took a picture of other people's ride photo by mistake!

Love the photo of all the backpacks on Everest!

We boarded the train that would take us to Rafiki's Planet Watch, I took a couple of light fixture pictures for LL...

137.jpg

139.jpg

We visited the petting area and Baylor had some fun playing goat herder....

140.jpg

He's working to keep the herd together!

141.jpg

It was really hot out so we decided to go inside for some time in the air conditioning. I had read about Rafiki's in MeMom's trip report and I really thought Baylor would enjoy the hands on exhibits.

Since I have a tarantula as a classroom pet, I had to take a photo of Rosie's cousin.

142.jpg

143.jpg

This is the hands on exhibit that MeMom mentioned, Baylor got the opportunity to hold some elephant poop!

150.jpg

We hung around and listened to the CM tell us about this cute little owl.

152.jpg

We came upon the funniest little scene.....We saw a boy and his brother who had been dorking around. It seems that one boy had dropped his brother's shoe down here.....

155.jpg

Thanks to a very brave CM he got his shoe back, boy I wouldn't want to stick my hand down there....

154.jpg

We took some pictures with the cutouts, it was fun to see our school mascot at Rafiki's!

156.jpg

157.jpg

And Marc with the Rhino.

159.jpg

We left Rafiki's caught the train and saw these manpris when we got off.

165.jpg

Baylor getting the last drop out of the frozen water bottle. Man that thing was noisy!

163.jpg

We headed to the safari, I spotted this sign and just wondered why Disney can't care for it's humans as well. I would love to see smoking banned on property...

166.jpg

We were soon off on our 2 weeks safari, it was bumpy so my pictures aren't very good at all...

170.jpg

171.jpg

180.jpg

184.jpg

185.jpg

186.jpg

Well anyway due to some problems with poachers our safari was cut short so we were off to the Flights of Wonder show. This was a first for us and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. Sorry if you are not a fan of birds. Just scroll really fast....
