We are AP holders but next year we may have to skip WDW. i know after covid disney was finicky about issuing AP's. If i don't renew my AP, which expires next month, will i have a problem purchasing one next year. TIA

Nobody can tell you what will happen next year, but they have not stopped selling any level of passes since April of 2023.

And they certainly made it seem like they were going to sell out/stop selling them back in 2023!

You have a year to activate an AP btw, so you could purchase a new one anytime up to a year out from your next planned trip and lock it in for peace of mind.

Considering Disney is even offering a gift card promotion for folks purchasing certain APs, it seems unlikely sales will stop again anytime soon.

yea the revenge traveling is pretty much over right now. Only reason they paused it from the start was because of covid-19 and than the revenge traveling, they didn’t need to offer it. But it now appears that they do need to offer incentives.
