A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

Loved the update! we plan to do Ohana's on our next trip!
Have you been to O'hana before? If you like meat it's a winner!

Your breakfast looks delish fromm 1900 Park Fare! Was that eggs benedict I see on your plate? Love them!! I love Disney breakfast!!
Our breakfast was great! Yes, it was Eggs Benedict and it was very good! I agree, we have never had a bad breakfast at Disney!
I have a pair of Fitflops (non-Mickey :scared1:) and while they are very comfortable I am not too sure I have noticed any changes!!
They are really comfy, but I have not noticed a bit of difference in my legs either...
Ohana always looks good to me and I know it is very popular with a lot of people but I am just not sure...the meat looks good but I am not so sure.
Well, we really liked everything except the steak. Even with that we would do it again. You get so much food, so not liking the steak was no big deal for me.
Have you been to Biergarten for their "meat fest?"
We have been to Biergarten, (this past spring break) Marc and I loved it but Baylor couldn't find anything he wanted to eat on their buffet. We are hoping for Biergarten again in December, maybe with the Candlelight Processional package. Baylor says that he will do better eating their food this time.
What is the Mickey Bar Bag you were searching for?

The Mickey Bar Bag was originally spotted by MeMom and I saw it in her trip report. It's a cloth tote bag with the picture of a Mickey Bar with a bite out of the ear. It's very cute, but I couldn't find it anywhere while we were there. It has since been spotted and although cute, it's more the size for a child and wouldn't work as a school bag for me.

Ahhhh I see on the Mickey Bar Bag! How cute...and while it may be impractical it would be good for something!!! I will have to keep my eye out for that......If you bought it then you could put it in your closet next to your shoes...you DO have a closet just for Vera don't you? :rotfl::rotfl:
My niece texted me the other day (no calling only texting of course ) and told me that she saw an antenna topper Mickey bar with a bite taken out of it. I am heading over to eBay to check out the topper and the bag! I don't usually have an antenna topper on my car because I have a Mini Cooper and when I am flying down the highway  it bends way back!! :rotfl2:
Forgot to tell you that I took a long weekend and a bunch of our family/friends from our cottage in Pennsylvania went to a small amusement park called Knoebels and guess what I spotted....boypris.....lol really long denim boypris and yes I did take a picture!! Pretended I was looking at pictures I had taken and snap! I got him!! lol

I saw them at least three times on this trip. They are smaller than what we need for teacher bags, for sure. I saw another bag I almost got at Magic Kingdom that is of Main Street and a whole bunch of characters. I couldn't justify the spending, though, because I already have two Mickey bags I use for school.

I don't think it would be hard to make your own Mickey ice cream bar bag. Trace a Mickey head pattern, cut a jaggedy hunk out for the bite part, and then sew or iron it on a good-sized bag. Someone creative (not me) should give it a try and see how it turns out.

aw I saw that bag too and thought it was so cute, but really, what could teachers put in it? a plan book and some pens... thats about all I would fit in there. My bag is so big I can practically fit in it!

Yes the Mickey Bar Bag was only avoiding me, it has been sighted again. I did get a teacher bag when I was there, I'll post a picture of it in my souvie post.

How cute, a mini Coop! What color is it? I'll bet it would look really cute with a Mickey Bar antenna topper...

Awesome! Post that picture on here please....
That technique works well doesn't it?;)

I got my first Mickey school bag this past trip! I can't wait to carry it on the first day with kids!

I think you are right about that bag, someone creative (not me either) could make one of those....
When I have a free Sunday afternoon I might just give it a try though, I think I could get a bag at Hobby Lobby...

No we have not been to O'hana's.
You should then!

I wish they made that bag bigger, much bigger...
And the fact that you can fit in that bag doesn't say much you aren't very big yourself girlie!

Saturday June 6

We woke up to a beautiful morning at the Beach Club. No rushing around this morning. Our plan was to spend some morning time at SAB then stroll over to Chefs for our lunch ADR.

I got dressed and grabbed yet another yogurt parfait from the market place.

574.jpg

We took our noodles down and floated in the lazy river and played on the slide. If you were anywhere near the bottom of the slide when Marc came down my apologies! He loves making the biggest splash possible. Baylor loves to come down first because he gets such a kick out of the giant whoosh of water!
Sorry, no SAB pictures today, Ashton stayed in the room, I was worried about leaving a camera in my pool bag...

I enjoyed the pool for an hour and a half then headed up to get ready for lunch leaving the guys splashing for another half hour before they came up to dry off and get dressed.

It was soooo nice to be able to walk over to lunch in about 5-7 minutes. Ohhh how I love the Beach Club!

For the life of me I can't find any pictures of our Chefs lunch. Marc and I split the 3 Course Lunch. I had the French Onion soup which was yummy as usual. Marc ate the salad, and we shared the toasted ham and cheese sandwich. For desert it was the Creme Brulee. Oh my gosh, it was divine!
We enjoyed our choice, Baylor however was another story. I wondered what he was thinking when he ordered pan roasted flounder with green beans and tomatoes. Here it is in french...Filet de Limande Saute avec Haricots Vert et Tomates!
He didn't like it, he didn't eat it, so he ordered some fries.
We saw Remy but had to share him with a table of men next to us. They did not appreciate him nearly as much as we would have if given the chance...

After lunch we decided to walk and explore some of the countries of World Showcase.
I met Henna in Morocco...
Sorry if you don't like looking at feet.

017-7.jpg

Loved the Morocco Mickey head!
018-7.jpg

Then on to Germany to Baylor could get his beloved Milka Bars, actually Baylor and I are in love with the creme bars, I also have a fondness for the macadamia nut pralines. Here are some pictures in the candy shop in Germany.

022-6.jpg

023-6.jpg

We left Germany in search of the elusive troll from out last trip, Marc had a date with him, but on our way Baylor stopped to cool off.

024-7.jpg

025-6.jpg

We were getting closer!

027-6.jpg

And then we were there! Does he look happy now?;)

028-7.jpg

Of course Baylor had to get in on the troll action!:goodvibes

029-6.jpg

On our way on around the world I pretended to take a picture of Baylor, looking very coordinated:rotfl2:

030-7.jpg

We made our way to the Kim Possible (insert foreboding music) kiosk where we picked up the Kimmunicator and got instructions to make our way back to France.

031-4.jpg

As you can see, Marc and Baylor were in charge of the mission. Baylor was not letting Marc hear the instructions and well, lets just say Marc became a little miffed. I wanted no part of them so I went over and sat on the wall waiting for the painful mission to be completed. Ugh

They were off trying to save what ever it was they were trying to save. They seemed to be taking a long time to come back and find me so I got up to look for them and something didn't feel right when I stood up, I kind of stuck to the wall......
GUM
I had sat in gum....UGH!

I looked and looked for them then finally there they were, luckily we were close to the IG and I didn't have far to walk with the gum, it was time to go back anyway to get ready for dinner. So back we went, my annoying guys and the gum on my rear.....
:headache:

While we were resting up and getting ready for dinner I took some pictures of the fit flops I had scored the day before. I just love the detail on these sandals!

034-7.jpg

We were planning to take Charlotte to Rose and Crown for dinner. She met us at the resort with more gifts from Florida (pics up later) then off we went to the IG and another very short walk to dinner. I started with the Welsh Dragon...

037-6.jpg

Not my favorite drink but I am glad to have in on the list of haves not have nots....

Got a round of last ice standing going...

038-6.jpg

The bread came, mmmmm!

039-4.jpg

I had the Bangers and Mash.

040-4.jpg

Charlotte had the marinated chicken.

041-5.jpg

Marc had the fish and chips.

043-5.jpg

Baylor had the Shepherds Pie. Does he look happy?

042-5.jpg

The adults were all very happy with their choices, very tasty! Baylor on the other hand ate some of Marc's fries. He is not a fan of Shephards Pie or peas... we found out after the fact!
Our plates were cleared off and one lonely little pea remained....

044-5.jpg

Until we found another and the lonely little pea was not lonely anymore.

045-7.jpg

Dessert time, as much as we liked our dinner the best was yet to come!
I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding.

046-7.jpg

Charlotte had the Chocolate Scotch Cake.

047-7.jpg

Marc had the Warm Apple Crumble.

048-7.jpg

Baylor had yet another Sundae, with a little extra chocolate surprise!

049-7.jpg

After dessert we asked if we could move up to the unoccupied table near the railing. Our server said probably not but he would check for us. He came back over and gave us the OK to move to we did and had awesome seats for Illuminations and it was just about ready to begin. Baylor passed out some flasing jelly rings to the kids sitting out near us and we had a great time watching the fireworks.

We could really feel the heat from this one!

050-7.jpg

056-5.jpg

After Illuminations and a few mosquito bites we headed back to the Beach Club, we decided to walk over to the Boardwalk and see the street performers. The three adults sat down on a bench and Baylor walked over to watch people shoot hoops, I could tell he ws going to blow some money tonight. Then we heard this thump, thump, thump.....

Here came Baylor bouncing the much loved and wanted Celtics basketball and carrying the smaller version basketball with the UCLA insignia. He was a happy boy. The person shooting had won the baskets and told him to choose what he wanted. Yay! I was happy he had what he wanted and we would agonize about that game no more. We walked back to the Beach Club,
spent a little time on the DIS and said our goodbyes. It was a wonderful night and I had discovered another favorite Disney restaurant!
:cloud9:

So love the Fit Flops. Do you like wearing them? They would be super cute I bet.

Rose and Crown keeps creeping up my list... it seems to have been a big hit this summer.

That darn ice cream bar bag... grrr! It was so cute, never saw it and would love to have gotten it in a school bag size. I think think my $10 tote is going to be it...

Those fit flops are darling! Are they comfy? Have you seen them online anywhere or are they just in the parks?

Rose & Crown is so YUMMY. I'm glad that everyone has been having good meals there this summer, it's a DIS trend or something. :lmao:

I can't believe you sat in gum! I would have been fuming mad! :headache:

Love the shoes! They are very cute. How do you like them.

How annoying that you sat in gum! Who just throws away their gum on a seat?!

We are eating at Rose and Crown in October and I keep seeing all these yummy pictures! Thank you!

Hi Anita, I am just getting caught up! I LOVED your pics. from breakfast at 1900 Park fare...we have never eaten there and I LOVE the characters that are there! Too funny about the Mad Hatter and Mary Poppins interaction...your shirt is adorable by the way!:thumbsup2

Hey Wigd:

Finally caught up, but I am at work so I can't see pics. I have heard that Strawberry soup is delicious and it makes me want to eat there in September. Hmmmmmm....maybe I should, but I would have to change my Hollywood BD ADR to free up a TS. Decision, decisions. I know I would get a kick out of the mad hatter! :thumbsup2

Promise to go back later tonight and see the pretty pictures. Meanwhile, shocker has been dutifully adding some pretty interesting and enhancing pictures to my TR.

So love the Fit Flops. Do you like wearing them? They would be super cute I bet.
I really do like the fit flops, one of my team mates at school wears them because she has back trouble and they are the only kind of flip flop type footwear she can comfortably wear! As for cute, I think they are, I'm pretty sure there are some pictures of me wearing them later in the trip. Especially after the Dumbo massacre...:headache:

Rose and Crown keeps creeping up my list... it seems to have been a big hit this summer.
I have been so hungry for that Bangers and Mash/Sticky Toffee Pudding combo!

That darn ice cream bar bag... grrr! It was so cute, never saw it and would love to have gotten it in a school bag size. I think think my $10 tote is going to be it...
It's funny how it's everywhere down there right now. BUT if we had found it there is no way we could have used it as a teacher bag, just too darn small. Why do they do this to us?

I found a splash picture....:cool1:

giant_wave_blue1-300x225.jpg
Hmmmm, yes, that about covers it.:rolleyes1
Those fit flops are darling! Are they comfy? Have you seen them online anywhere or are they just in the parks?
They are really cute, when I saw the first pair at DHS I just knew I wanted a pair. Then I saw the bronze and loved them too! They are comfy, but they come with a warning about wearing them too much without conditioning yourself to them. So I was a little worried about putting them on down there and heading off for a day in the parks. I did wear them after a bit of a mishap and was as fine as I could possibly be at the time....
I have not been able to find the Mickey fit flops online anywhere. You can get the regular ones though, but if you are like me, you don't want the regular ones when you know that there are ones with the cute Mickey heads on them...
I'll bet you find them in the parks when you go in just a few short weeks!

Rose & Crown is so YUMMY. I'm glad that everyone has been having good meals there this summer, it's a DIS trend or something.
I know, I'm really excited to eat there again but I don't think it's going to happen in December. We are going to be trying to take in all the parks with newbies and a baby!

I can't believe you sat in gum! I would have been fuming mad! :headache:
I was ticked, and it the guys hadn't been fussing at each other I would have been with them enjoying Kim Possible...:rolleyes1

Love the shoes! They are very cute. How do you like them.
I love them, they are just the right amount of Disney to wear to school and not be an in your face kind of thing. I'm so glad I got them!

How annoying that you sat in gum! Who just throws away their gum on a seat?!
I was fuming about the gum, I was sitting on the ledge that surrounds the garden in France. While it's not officially a seat, it's just the right height for sitting. Another reason Disney does not sell gum...

We are eating at Rose and Crown in October and I keep seeing all these yummy pictures! Thank you!
I can't wait to hear what you think!

Hi Diane, We have enjoyed both meals at 1900 PF but I think I have to say breakfast was my favorite for the food. The Mad Hatter just makes the meal, he's a hoot! It's funny because Mary Poppins has to keep her composure and remain in character while he's carrying on like, well, a Mad person....:rotfl:

If you are after characters then I would try to change your ADR. BUT if you want the best Cobb Salad ever (disclaimer: in my opinion) then you will keep that HBD. The Mad Hatter was a hoot, I would make sure that if you go, wear something a little out of the ordinary, he has such a great time and is very witty when you give him something to work with!

Promise to go back later tonight and see the pretty pictures. Meanwhile, shocker has been dutifully adding some pretty interesting and enhancing pictures to my TR.
I need to see whats going on, I'm not getting notice of any updates!:headache:

The flip-flops are the best - so cute!!!

I will have to try that Welsh Dragon - I usually don't have too many drinks at WDW; it seems that the combination of the heat and the alcohol can make me loopy :lmao: but I might have to get that one!

Love the bronze fit flops! Uggghhhh about the chewing gum. Looking at that Welsh Dragon is making me thirsty!

To echo what everybody else has said, love the bronze fit flops. You've got quite the cute flip flop collection, lady! Did you wear your switch flops much at Disney?

Your Rose and Crown meal looks devine, and whew, I'm glad you found that poor lonely pea a friend.:rotfl:

Gotta love that stroll from the Beach Club, and what a great way to start your day, a dip in that fabulous pool.:cloud9:
