Disneyland 70th speculations and news

WDW is just as early as Disneyland. In fact, they started Halloween a couple of days earlier. But it isn't just Disney. Other stores (Costco, Lowes, Home Goods, etc) are promoting their Halloween merchandise as well..
Retailers keep pushing dates earlier and earlier. That does not mean you have to buy anything. I am not dealing with Christmas and Halloween stuff in August when it is in the 80s and I am still going to the pool and the beach. Plus the prices are usually inflated.

The 70th celebration started on May 16 so it has been 3 mos. It was announced early that parts of the celebration would pause for the holidays. What are you looking for that you are losing out on?

Me specifically? Nothing because I won't be visiting at all during the 70th.

What exactly will be left of the 70th celebration once the Christmas season begins? WOC? The keys? Maybe they should have just had the celebration for the summer. They could have kept elements past if they wanted.

Walt & It's A Small World aren't 70th specific so they don't really count.

Totally and I think that's all well and good. However going into holiday mode before labor day...? With weeks left of summer? Got me blindsided a bit - I was honestly shocked when OBB tickets dropped that there was an overlap with our trip this week. I usually keep holidays in their lane at home - Halloween gets October, and Christmas doesn't start until Thanksgiving dinner is cleaned up (US here, so 4th Thursday in Nov, I guess we start that one a little early!).

I did check and it was a September start up until '24, so I'm not that far behind on the times at least.
Labor Day is pretty commonly considered end of summer in the US. For many, it's actually earlier in August when school starts.

Astronomical summer ends around September 20th, but most people consider September a "fall" month. Meteorological summer ends on August 31st and fall begins on September 1st. This is because September to November most closely align with the weather people associate with fall.

Just saying that different people have different subjective perceptions of seasonal timing. No one is wrong. Astronomical seasons don't often align with weather and overall seasonal feel.

I do believe most people consider Labor Day to certainly be the end of the summer "season" for certain activities like swimming pools and Splash pads.
