Welcome! My only thought would be to check with Dana first. She may be able to match or even beat cruise value price. I use Dana for all my cruise bookings and she has beaten the lowest price I was quoted every time. Her website is www.misdan.com but call the number on the webpage. If she can not beat the price, she may be able to shed some light on the wholesaler. HTH

I thought about taking the kids to MK on Sunday... haven't decided yet... I really don't want to do F&W without Ray, as he's a foodee. So am I going to hit a major crowd with MNSSHP???

I had the pleasure of meeting Mary and her husband this past June in WDW. It was brief, but fun! We met for Project X - at the Illuminations Dessert Party. "Hi, Mary!!"

I'm still wondering if anyone has any feelings - good or bad - about using a wholesaler to book the cruise. They seem reputable and I'm leaning toward putting any fears aside. They're giving me a stateroom # and all and I did see one thread "cruisevalue rocks!" The only downside I can see is that they will charge a $75 per person fee if you cancel.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Wasn't that Dessert Party fun? Nothing like having a party with a great group of DIS'ers and that is what this cruise will be!

We have a number of couples who both post on the thread so every so often you'll find them making arangements for dinner or picking up the kids.

Bottom line we are all here to have fun and enjoy a MAGIC cruise that will go to CC twice!

If anyone in this group has been thinking of buying into DVC now is the time. There is a special promotion going on that offers a 15% discount. You just have to have a current members name.

Since there are a number of DVC'ers in this group that shouldn't be too hard.

PS If it does not seem to crass, can anyone give me an idea of what a monthly fee would be to get financed thru DVC? I know you are not supposed to ask these types of questions, but I am amongst friends right? ( Even if said friends wont have a meet with me )

Amanda - yes it will bring the price down by 15%. I honestly can't answer the financing question but I'll be happy to pm you the phone number and name of my guide. DVC guides are very low key sales. They will be happy to send you the information and ask any questions. When we bought in 2000 we had called in late 1999 for the info. My guide only called once after that (about two weeks after we got the package) just to see if we had any questions. When I called back that we were interested she set everything up for us.

Edited to add - since you will be visiting if you call they will set up a visit for you. You can tour the rooms (wait until you see the tub in the one bedroom). They will also set up time to go over any numbers with you as far as financing.

Any "friend" of Mary's (and Mickey's!) is a friend of ours.....jump right in!
I wish I could help with your question about booking with a wholesaler, but I don't know anything about them. If you feel comfortable, and it's a good price, then go for it!

When Alicia and I were in Orlando during Hurricane Charley, he called several times to make sure we were OK, even offered to come get us and put us up at their house then. Of course, he had no way of knowing that Charley was headed right at Daytona Beach. Or did he?

Most definitely! I have to do my "comparison" report! I already know that they don't have as good a package deal on their internet usage as DCL does....darn it. But I'm going for it, anyway. I think we're only 12 days from leaving now. 13 to the cruise date. Still don't believe it.....but I am very glad that I have the toiletries and extra junk packed.

We have a few more than you to pack and get ready - but the panic is beginning to set in....Lined up this pet sitter this weekend.

We did get that extra large suitcase, but nothing is packed yet.....

Bummer! However, that is the COOL thing about Florida. Lots of options!!

DH was not thrilled when the lake was mentioned as an option...38 feet deep at the center....I, however, think we need the companion practice so I am ready for it....Must have some serious discipline to get everything ready for November.

You guys are unreal about the diving bug, last night DH wondered why we needed a car in St. Maartin - aren't we diving This trip, it is one island voyage and the next island dive. I just know we will be going back, if the endlist list of brochures for the carribean are any hint....

I've been lurking for a while on another board...at the thread for the Princess cruise. We'll be cruising on Halloween, so they are talking about costumes. No costumes for me..... so I need a clever response in case someone asks me where my costume is. I know that at least one of you can come up with something.

It's hard to tell, because not many people post on that other board, but it doesn't look like there will be very many kids on that cruise. It will be interesting.....
