He got bitten on Saturday (by their dog). They didn't take him in to get it checked out then, but they had called a doctor friend of theirs to find out what to do for him. They came to our house for dinner on Sunday. He was limping a lot and by the end of the evening there was an odor from the wound. Linda took him in on Monday and they ended up admitting him for IV antibiotics. I just got an email from her this morning saying that when she left the hospital at 4pm yesterday she was optomistic, but when she got back at 8pm last night it looked worse.
The kids have been bickering all morning. DD took the blanket from DS & was biting it in her mouth. I pulled it away from her & gave it back to him. I turned back around & saw a look of terror on her face...then she screamed. I almost pulled her front tooth out.
Now, we have been waiting for both of her lower front teeth to loosen up & fall out because there are already two new teeth behind them but only one was starting to wiggle ever so slightly. That tug of the blanket pulled it forward, made it bleed, and of course sting. She is freaking out.
She doesn't want her tooth to fall out but it wont be long now. It's not quite to the point DS's was on the cruise, Cristi...but a couple of bites into anything is going to snap the back. DH gets home tomorrow night so hopefully he will help to make this a fun thing. YIKES! At least we don't have to take her to the dentist & have a secure tooth pulled out now...right? Bad mommy.
We were playing with magic mitts (velcro mitts that you wear and then throw a tennis ball back and forth). I tossed it to her and it hit her in the face. Knocked the tooth right out.
It was pretty loose though.cristit14 said:Hey all of the Dec 2005 cruisers. Remember Linda from the cruise? We need some prayers and pixie dust sent her way.
