WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Thanks for the kind words of support. I'm hoping that it was unintentional, but it really felt pretty awful. I'm so glad I have a place vent for a moment, it's so nice to see so many people on program here!

Thanks again, and everyone keep up the good work!:goodvibes

Not much to report today. I had a long day at work 7 am to 8:30 tonight. I work in HR and I have 7 new hires coming through the door next week.

Everyone have a good point day tomorrow. :cool1:

I lost 1.4 this week. This was week 3, I've lost 7 lbs in total. YAY!!!

week 1 -3 lbs
week 2 -2.6 lbs
week 3 -1.4 lbs

I kinda had a frustrating thing happen to me today. A co-worker of mine came looking for a snack today and I have my stash of all my low cal snacks. I caught myself saying, "this is 2 points, this is 1 point yadda yadda yadda" and I was like "oh sorry, so used to thinking about points since I started WW" and she says "oh how are you doing?" and I said I've lost 40 lbs (which I have only 10 lbs to go to be my ideal weight) and she says "from where?"

It really hurt my feelings a little I have to say. :( This is someone I work with every day. So I was a little taken aback.

awww...that's lousy. Some people are just ignorant. 40 lbs is awesome...forget her and be proud of yourself! :woohoo:

I've been MIA lately--I've missed my weigh-ins, but I am holding steady. I just quit exercising for no real reason, so I am trying to get back to exercising and journaling everything I eat.

welcome back! And holding steady is good..better than gaining! I'm right there with you trying to get back on track. Here's to a back on track week for both of us!

That is a good question, not sure I have the answer to that one. But I do know that once a foodie, always a foodie, we just learn to live a different way and sometimes we still let ourselves go. But the good thing is as foodies we are well aware of ourselves and once we slip a little we generally get right back to what we know. You have been so successful to date, I do not doubt that your gain will turn into a loss in no time at all.

thanks again....yup, that's me ~ a foodie. I love food, I love to eat...just love it! But you are right....I will get back on track and keep the weight off for good!

I lost 1.4 this week. This was week 3, I've lost 7 lbs in total. YAY!!!

week 1 -3 lbs
week 2 -2.6 lbs
week 3 -1.4 lbs

congrats!:cool1: Keep up the good work!

Day 2 of "back on track"......so far so good....wrote down everything I ate yesterday, got in all the good health guidelines and got my butt on the treadmill this morning for a full workout!

Hooray, Grumpy's wife!! Congrats on making 10%!!!! :thumbsup2

cepmom, hang in there--you'll be back on the downward trend soon!

By the way, I LOVE the list--I printed it out and am sticking it near my bathroom mirror. So far, all total, I've lost:

An elephant's private:scared1:,
A human head:lmao: (makes me think of the little kid in "Jerry Macguire"!), and
A guinea pig!

I'm almost to an Irish Setter, and am aiming for a 2 month old horse plus a 2 year old child!:rotfl2:

DizneeMommy, Looks like we are on the same path. I'm also aiming for that 2 month old horse plus amount of cheese an average American eats in a year and a rack of baby back ribs. It has been one heck of a journey so far! Keep up the good work!:goodvibes

I weighed in today and was up 3.4 lbs :worried: I was down 3.6 lbs last week adn I guess I was feeling pretty good about that and got too comfortable with journaling (or rather not journaling) I had my neice's birthday party and also a dinner out for DD's dance team year end banquet. I didn't plan my food well those days and found myself with very few healthy choices at those events. :headache:

I also didn't exercise as much as I usually do...I spent all day Saturday and Monday doing yard work and my legs were very sore so I didn't get on the treadmill full force. Okay...back to square one...back on the treadmilll tomorrow full force and back to journaling every stinking thing I eat!

Grumpy's Wife.... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! :woohoo:

congrats to all the losers this week and  to those that gained (am I the only one??)
cepmom:hug: Just think, it's only one week. You're back on the wagon and ready to go again. We have all gained, but you know what you did and how to fix it. Before WW, you would just keep eating and packing on the pounds. This week will be better!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

ScuttleMeTimbers: All I can say is...How Rude! That person should have just said congrats and keep up the great work! So, I'll say it for them....CONGRATS and keep up the GREAT work!!!:cool1: :woohoo:

oh. my. god.

I think i might have slapped her.

Seriously, maybe she DID mean it as a compliment... Meaning "Where did you have 40 lbs to lose from???" :confused3

Is she heavy? Maybe it's the little jealousy bug that bit her???

ANYWAY__ Keep up the great work... We're ALL proud of you HERE!! :thumbsup2

WAY TO GO!!!

Gosh, I hate it when people respond like that--it is so hurtful and so disrespectful to the hard work that you have put it to lose 40 pounds.

Congrats to you and:mad: to your co-worker.

I've been MIA lately--I've missed my weigh-ins, but I am holding steady. I just quit exercising for no real reason, so I am trying to get back to exercising and journaling everything I eat.

Try to get back on the track you know you want to be on.... We all know where that "other" track leads...

People who haven't dealt with weight issues don't have a clue...but maybe she was saying it in a sense of you don't really need to lose that much weight...that is what I had gotten the last time I had lost close to 40pounds on ww...everyone was like...I didn't know you needed to lose that much where did it come from...my favorite was...was your big toe really huge!

What I learned was that as long I know that I am looking better FOR ME and that things are changing and getting smaller it doesn't matter who notices!

Keep up the good work and don't let this get you down!

Well said!!!:cool1:

I also have the battle with the scale. I can let it dictate my mood from day to day. it's horrible. I can wake up in a fine mood, step on the scale and all the sudden I am    .

I have certainly tried to learn better ways to manage my food addiction!!::yes:: but sometimes, it is HARD!!!:faint:

Thanks, and you, too! I keep thinking "I'm over half way there. . ." It's been a little tougher this week--it's the last week of school and I'm rushed, a little stressed and wanting CHOCOLATE! But, so far I've managed the craving by just having a little bite here and there.

As for the rude coworker, just refer back to the list and tell her you lost an extra leg!!:lmao: Some people. . .:confused3

I've got a theory about rude people and weight loss. I really believe people don't know how to deal with other peoples changing images because they are afraid of the new person. Let's face it once you start losing weight and feeling better about yourself people become afraid of you and tell you you've changed. Yes you have, but it's the same you you're just smiling more becaue you're happy with yourself. Just smile and keep moving.

Today was weigh in day for me. 7.4 LBS DOWN!!!! Granted I know that is not an average weight loss, and it really was 10 days from my first weigh in but boy did it feel good. It feels even better to see my ticker with that bar moving instead of standing at 0 lbs lost.

Well I went and weighed in today, and I've lost 1.2 lbs this week, which brings my grand total to 41.2 lbs.

I'll be at WDW this weekend, so I'll see how I do!:duck: (I'll just try to duck under any food that gets thrown at me :rotfl2:)

Thanks for all the kind words after the incident with my co-worker (what's worse is she's the VP of my dept.). I've decided to sluff it off, and move forward, if it was malicious then I don't know what to think, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for the moment and think that she must have meant she didn't think I had a lot to lose in the first place.

Congrats to all who lost this week :cool1: and my whole hearted encouragement to anyone who gained this week, don't give up!:goodvibes ::yes::

I was down 0.6 this week. Not a huge loss, but I'll take any loss!!

That puts my total at 6.8 lbs lost since 5/1:cool1:

Congrats to everyone on their excellent weigh-ins:woohoo:

41 pounds is quite an accomplishment. Way to go. Have a wonderful trip to Disney. You can stay on program. Just think of all the walking you'll be doing and the heat. When it's so hot outside I tend to eat less. Good luck.

This thread has been hopping, and I don't have enough time to dis!!!

What a bunch of wonderful losers!!! Congratulations MApigletfan, Wife2grumpy, memy26, Dizneemommy, Toledo13, Scuttlemetimbers, Bucci818, Maryanne, Tiggerlover, Ms. Heimlich, and Trueloves1stkiss. :cool1:  You are all doing awesome!!!!:cool1:

:welcome: Jovo, saratogashan, and Ms. Heimlich!!!

Cepmom- Hugs to you on your gain this week. We all have our ups and downs, and you will be able to get right back on program and lose that gain. It is such a game we play with the scale. I have that pattern, if I see a loss on a week that I wasn't really that good, then the next week, I'm a little worse, thinking I got away with eating the junk the week before, and then it's a big gain. I have been going up and down with the same 5 pounds for about a year now, and know where you're coming from. Hang in there. You can do it. You look awesome in your pics on the picture thread, and the last few pounds are always the hardest to come off. Keep up the great work.

Tiggerlover- Congrats on your loss!! 6.4 pounds is awesome and you are such an inspiration. party: Congrats on your one year anniversary of lifetime!!!!!party: That is an amazing accomplishment. You have definitely got this maintenance thing down pat. Great job!!

Ms. Heimlich- Great to see you over here. I love the picture thread you started. Congrats on your 65 pounds lost!! That is a fabulous accomplishment and you look awesome!! The weight list was hilarious- I am down a two year old, and a sperm whale's brain. :lmao:

Wife2grumpy- Have a wonderful time in disney!!!!:cloud9:

As for me this week, I am still doing core, but did go away for the weekend again and did not track my non core foods, but got right back on tuesday, and am down .8 today. I think the healthier foods on core are really making a difference, and I'm not snacking as much. I don't feel deprived at all. I have no plans for the next 3 weeks, so I am committing to following core faithfully, and keeping track of my 35 flex points, and I hope to break through this long plateau. I have .6 to lose to hit the lowest I have been in at least 7 years. I'm gonna do it this time!!

Keep up the great work everyone!! We can do this!!

I thought you guys would like that... I know I found it hiLAriouS!!

I have yet to try core. I don't know if I have the self control to limit my intake of the "other" foods that aren't on the core list.

I have 0.4 to go to be the lowest I've been in at least 10 years, so I am right there with you.

Unfortunately, yesterday I had a HORRIBLE day at work, ended up going out for dinner and ate my self sick on fajitas and queso at my favorite Tex-Mex place. Oh, well, like you said... I am back on track today. The only other "risky" situation I have this weekend is my niece's high school graduation party (pizza & cake) so I don't know how I will do there, but I will try to plan and imagine myself NOT eating the cake!!!:)

Have a great Weekend!

Ms. H
