WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

WHOO HOO! :cool1: I'm down 2.4 this week! Granted, last week I was visited by my 'friend'.... so that's why this week is soooo much better!

But I'm happy!! :yay:

Great job!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I was so off course this weekend!:scared1: Luckily my area has many meetings each week. Last week I weighed in on Wednesday. I think this week I'll wait until Friday, because it's going to take me that long to get rid of this weekend's gain! I'll be waterlogged by Friday!

I made it to a meeting this morning.... and........

I ended up losing 1.0 lbs.

SHOCKED!

I worked in the lawn for 2 hours before my weigh in today, so I'm not sure how much of that is "real" weight I have lost.

I will try to get back on my regular weigh in schedule this week!

Ms. H (janis)

Good job Janis! It's amazing how when we think we are going to gain we loose! Keep up the good work.:goodvibes

Hi all! It has been a busy couple of days and I haven't had time yet to read all of the posts, just wanted to pop in with my weekly update and then I will check out what y'all have been up to. I still haven't gotten a hold of my eating and I have paid the price witht he scale. Not too bad, but definitely a wake up call....

Core....Week 10

Week 1: 3.8
Week 2: 0
Week 3: 0
Week 4: .6
Week 5: .4
Week 6: 1.6
Week 7: .8
Week 8: .4
Week 9: .2
Week 10: + 1

Total = 6.8 pounds lost in 10 weeks, I going in the wrong direction and need to change course and go the other way. Missing the gym twice this week has not helped me in the least....next week it is back to the gym for me.

So, you found the pound Ms H lost? Getting back to the gym will help. Just keep going!!:goodvibes

:cool1: Great job!!:cool1:

Here's how I earned 8 activity points this weekend....

I planted close to 80 plants!!! And I ran a garden tiller for about 45 minutes!!!

I hope you guys have a great week!!

Janis

I just found this thread. I've been on WW since January and have lost 55 lbs. so far. I still have another 45 to go.

I'm going to Disney on 7/12 for a week and really getting worried about the food. In know I'll get a lot of AP's in by walking and swimming, but I hope I don't go too crazy once I'm there.

My weigh in date is Wednesday, so I'll post what happens. I've been on Antibiotics for a throat infection and even though I stuck to the program, I don't think I've lost this week, but I'll let you know.

Thanks!!:lovestruc

:welcome: Maureen!! That is a wonderful weight loss!! :cool1:  Keep up the great work!!:goodvibes

How do you count points when things are "close."

I just was wondering......

I bought some of Progresso's 0 points soup. One serving comes in at 0 points but is very close to 1 point. 2 servings (entire can) counts as 2 points though.

So, what do you do? Do you just go ahead and count it as 1 point per serving? Or do you count it as 0?

I really need to be extra careful this time around as I haven't lost weigh on WW since they had the old exchange program. I want to make it work this time.

Dawn

Hey Maureen!!! Welcome to our little thread!!!

Way to go on your weight loss! That's great!

I tell people all the time that I GAINED 27 pounds on Weight Watchers... Just to watch their reaction!!! In reality I have LOST almost 70 lbs total (with gains week to week and here & there that total 27 lbs). :rotfl: :rotfl:
I hope your trip to WDW is great. I gained about 2.8 lbs when I went last fall, and I was TOTALLY okay with that. We did A TON of walking so I felt less guilty when I ate something "bad."

Ms. H (Janis)

I only allow myself 5 things per day to count as "0"

In other words, if I eat veggies that are all 0, and I eat 6 servings of them, I count them as 1.

The soup is harder. If you only eat one serving, count as 0, if you eat both, I would count it as 2 pts.

the more "honest" you are the better your weight loss will be!!!

I am just starting WW today, we have an at work program but I decided to do it on my own (along with fellow co-workers) because I have already missed a few of the meetings. I have done WW in the past successfully but I have also tried and failed. :confused3 I want to be able to lose at least 80 pounds for our wedding/trip to Disney next Sep and I think that is attainable as long as I stick with it. I must get ready for work now but when I get home I will be excited to read all the tips on this thread. Since I have discovered the Dis I can't wait to get home and plan and look through all the TR's and various other posts. I would love to be able to look at work but they don't allow us to be on the internet unless for work purposes, which is probably a good thing because I would be on this site all day! :surfweb:

congrats to all the "losers" and "maintainers"!! Keep it up!
I just went back to WW on Thursday - so that's my new weigh in day. I am a Lifetimer who fell off the wagon!

So, you found the pound Ms H lost? Getting back to the gym will help. Just keep going!!:goodvibes

Oh, so that is what happened.....I would be willing to give it away, but I am afraid there wouldn't be any willing takers. :confused3 I did make it to the gym today and I am trying to stay on track, that is all I can do.

:thumbsup2 Good job!

:welcome: Maureen J, glad to have you on board and congratulations on your weight loss this year, what an excellent way to start the year! If you go to WDW with a plan and try to stick to it you will be just fine. You don't have to be perfect, just think about what you are doing and you will do all right.

DawnM, with the Progresso soups I count 0 for half of a can and 2 points for the whole thing. It all depends on the item and how close it is for me.

feistygalkmc, :welcome: to you too, the more the merrier on this thread. Congratulations on taking the first step towards good health and congrats on your upcoming wedding. If you are looking for support, motivation and great tips you have come to the right place!

:welcome: lillygator, as a lifetimer you know what it takes and good for you for going back to what you know works. Glad to have you here with us.

I hope everyone is doing well and I hope you all have a great night.

Onward and downward!

Welcome to all our new members. I have just returned from Disney and I can tell you it is doable staying on WW but it is something you need to work out. We were in a DVC Room and then Fort Wildernes cabins so I had a full kitchen the entire time. That made it much easier. Out of the 9 days we were on vacation we only ate out 5 meals. The first 3 I pretty much stuck to plan. The 4th was Trail End breakfast and I did it most of my daily points there. I did pick food that I normally would not eat and left the eggs for when I was home and could make them on program. Last night we had the buffet dinner at fort wilderness and I ate whatever I wanted but stopped when I was full. The "fried" chicken was OK but not great so I just took a taste and left it. The ribs were really good so I had them. I think all in all I had about 29 points yeterday so I used some of the 35 weekly ones, first time I dipped into them since I started the program on May 19th. I did buy a lot of WW treats and had them the days we ate in the room. All in all, I felt it was a good week eating wise. My weigh in day in Thursday so I am going to wait to weigh in then. In any case, today I got right back on program and I feel good.

Hint: Epcot is the park you will walk the most in. We logged 6.5 miles there one day and earned 5 points LOL All in all, I think I walked about 20 miles.

What are your favorite ways to earn activity points? Do you swap them for food?

I earn mine in the gym, of coarse I work at the YMCA so its easy to hit the gym. I rarely use mine and so far so good. I started 5/1 and I've lost 8.8lbs so far.

Good luck

No, up to now I have not used my activity points nor other then this week any of the 35 extra. Truth be told I get 24 points per day so I feel that that is enought and most days try not to go over the 20 points or so.

You sound like me. I've done that a time or two. Drink drink drink!

I know that's easier said than done and I've been bad with my water intake this week. :worried:

Janis your garden looks great. You definitely earned those points. Wow, 80 plants is a lot. Now you can sit back and enjoy the view.

So how did your first day go? I think the first day is the hardest. Then you get through that first week and you are now in control. Good luck!

Welcome back from Disney. You really did great. I kind of figured we walk about five miles a day there but never actually wore a pedometer. I might try that next time just for fun. Good luck at your weigh in.

What are your favorite ways to earn activity points? Do you swap them for food?

I either walk or do Richard Simmoms videos. I've never used or traded activity points for food. I will on occasion use the extra 35 flex points just not my exercise ones.

I am drinking loads of water too this week. I am trying to drink 150 oz a day. I just feel like drinking water. That is weird for me. I love diet soda...but lately I am losing the desire to drink it. Water just sounds so good.::yes::

Good luck at weigh-in.:wizard:

Congrats on losing 55 pounds! That is wonderful!
I have never had a problem at WDW with weight gain. And I always ate what I wanted. I didn't over do it. I still made wise choices. But if I felt like an ice cream or a churro...I would have one. World Showcase was hard for me. I did get a couple of treats from France and Norway. I ate half and saved the other half for breakfast the next day.

There are lots of fresh fruit and low-fat options all over the parks. Good luck---you will do great! And have fun!

I use the point calculator and I go by what it says. I use the electronic calculator and it doesn't show if it is close. It will just show the point value.

Just like Mrs. Heimlich, I would count a serving as 0 and the entire can as 2.:thumbsup2

The Dis is pretty awesome! It is a bit of an addiction..:rolleyes1

Congrats on joining WW! You will do great! It just takes some dedication and desire to be healthy. I am also trying to lose about 80 pounds. I am just going to take it 5 pounds at a time because the big picture is just too big and overwhelming.

Congrats on your engagement!:goodvibes

That is amazing that you were sticking to the plan pretty much 100% at WDW. It is hard...I have tried.

What are your favorite ways to earn activity points? Do you swap them for food?

I enjoy walking and doing the elliptical machine. I am not quite in shape enough to attempt running. I have exercise-induced asthma...so I need to get myself conditioned first before I try. But that is my ultimate goal: to run for 30 minutes without passing out.:rotfl:

At this point, I do not swap them. I am just starting my second week on WW. They suggest not swapping AP's until your third week.

Hi everyone!!
I hope you all are having a wonderful morning. It is going to be warm here and it is going to keep getting warmer. Good! Summer took too long to get here.

Yesterday was my weigh-in. I lost 2.5 pounds!

I hope to lose about 2 pounds this week. We shall see.

Have a good day everyone!:goodvibes
