WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

I weighed in this morning and I'm down 1.4 this week. :cutie: I finally got a handle on things since being bad three weeks ago. So my total is now exactly 26 pounds.

I'm really behind on saying hello to all our new members to the thread. Welcome! I also never fully intoduced myself.

I'm Mary Anne, married for 30 years to the same man... he is still the same weight he was on our wedding day.... I am double my weight. I have taken it off and put it on too many times. I am really focused on doing it all the way this time. I have two boys. One who will be a junion in college this fall and the other who is just starting college. I'll have an empty nest. I work full time and do enjoy my job. I did tell my manager the other day that I think I was a far nicer HR manager 2 months ago when I was popping chocolates 4 times a day rather then water and grapes that I do now.

I am really glad to have found this thread. I've found great motovation and it' great hearing everyones vistories.

Mary Anne have you tried the WW chocolates. I keep a bag in my refrigerator for times when I get those cravings. The Russell Stover sugar free candies are also pretty good.
 
Hi everyone
I've been really bad about posting this past week. Having DD's graduation party today and I've been really busy getting ready for it (and busy praying for no rain today ....my house is way too small for 75 people :headache: )

Hello to all our new members :wave: Congrats to all the losers this week and :hug: to those of us that are struggling. I did not get to my meeting this week but I weighed at home and it was not pretty :worried: I don't even want topost what the gain was (okay...it was 5 lbs :scared1: :eek: :headache: )
I was really, really off track last week and it showed. Seems like there were a bunch of us in the same boat, huh? Anyway, back on track at the moment and feeling much better about my weigh in next Wednesday.

Funny thing...I really felt so gross the whole time last week. I pretty much ate whatever I wanted and it did not feel good at all. Last summer I fell in love with Smirnoff Twisted and I had a huge craving for them last Saturday. I had DH pick some up for me and I drank 5 out of 6 of them (not in one night :scared1: ) and felt so gross. They must be so loaded with sugar, which I'm sure was part of my gain. I will not be buying those again! I bought myself some Corona Lights for the party today and may have one or two.

7 LBS!!! for the 2 weeks. I know all the walking, tracking of points and drinkin my water at Disney made a difference.

feistygalkmc, I have that cookbook too, have paged through it, but haven't made anything yet. Have you gone online to get the POINTS values yet? I have been meaning too, just not enough time. I love pierogies with green onions and zucchini....yum, yum!

:welcome: KadysMom! Great weight loss to date. I am doing Core now too and I love it! I lost 60 pounds following flex, made it to lifetime and then plateaued so I switched to Core. I have only lost about 8 pounds, but I am under goal and I am not in losing mode, I just find it much more convenient now that counting points.

bucci818, glad to hear that Core is going well for you still, great loss for the week!

This week has been a better week for me, I lost .8 of the pound I gained last week so I am happy. I am still 5# under goal so I really can't complain. We are off in the morning to go camping and rafting, I am hoping the added exercise with counteract the food that I know we will eat. I am packing a lot of safe foods, but I know there will be a little of this and a little of that (and a little wine) so I will just have to paddle extra!!!

Hello everyone,

I've been kind of crazy and stressed this week, and have not been here, or on track either. I am up 2.6 this week, not surprised, and having a hard time getting back on track. My mom had been at rehab doing real well, and wound up in the hospital with pneumonia last weekend, did ok, back to rehab friday, and she was so miserable yesterday when I went to visit. I'm having a hard time trying to juggle visiting her and spending time with my son, because he doesn't want to spend that much time there. I am on vacation this week, and we were just supposed to have fun, me and my son, and now I'm feeling pressure to spend more time with my mom, and so I eat and eat. I think I'll have a good cry this morning, and see if that helps. We have a big fireworks display at the park around the corner from my house on the 3rd, and have a party that night, and my yard is a mess, and I haven't really been able to get ready for that yet. That is a fun night, and I'm going to enjoy it. This morning I'm going to work in the yard before the rain, and my brother is going to visit my mom. I'm going to try and make some good choices this week. I know I won't be back on til after vacation, but less ice cream, and more fruit can definitely help.

Congratulations to everyone who has been seeing a loss this week. :cool1: You are definitely inspiring to me.

Congratulations!! That is an amazing weight loss for a vacation to disney world. You should be so proud. I have been twice since I've been doing ww again, and would make a few good choices, have more than a few mickey bars, and usually was happy to gain only a few pounds. Good for you for tracking and drinking all the water.

Kathy I'm so sorry to hear that your mom isn't well. I guess when we feel stressed we go back to our old habits which for me is eating. I also totally got off the program three maybe four weeks ago. It took me a good two weeks of talking to myself to get me back on track and I know you can do it too. :hug:

I haven't been on much lately--I spent this week trying to catch up on laundry after our beach trip, and now we leave on a church trip tomorrow and will be gone until Saturday! (DH is a pastor.) I weigh in tomorrow morning before we leave--I hope I'm down, but I'll be happy if I've just maintained and can not gain anything this week! Hopefully after this trip things will slow down a little and I can get back into my routine!! I do much better if I'm in a "normal" routine and at home so I can fix my own food!!

I need some help... I am going to the beach tomorrow. I am thinking of bringing core foods that will do well in the heat and sand. I will have a cooler, but I am just unsure of what I can pack. I am trying to use as little points as possible because I am saving for the 4th of July...
 
WW at works starts up again today. It has been 4 weeks since the last time I faced the 'official' scale. Today is not going to be pretty. I have been on prednisone (steroid) for the last 3 1/2 weeks. I am starting to taper off of it, but the damage has been done. According to my scale at home, I am up 12 pounds since my last weigh in. Weight gain is one of the most common side effects of steroids.:sad1:

I am really trying to get my mind and attitude back on track. It's just so discouraging to think that I fought so hard to lose 5 pounds in the last session, and now I have to lose those 5 pounds again and an additional 7 to boot.

Well, keep your fingers crossed that I can stay positive enough to stay on plan today.

I think I may have had a relapse last night... Not so much a food relapse as an emotional one.

I took my daughter clothes shopping... She REALLY needed some shorts for a quick vacation to the lake this weekend and I finally relented.

While we were walking around, I was thinking everyone was looking at me... and not in a good way. I kept feeling like everyone around me was thinking "Look at that Fat WOMAN... What is SHE doing HERE?" or "She doesn't belong in this store... She's TOO FAT" or "Fat people are DISGUSTING" :eek:

It really effected my whole shopping experience and the time with my DD:headache:

On the way home, my DD noticed something was wrong and asked me what was the matter... When I told her basically what was wrong, she laughed and said "Mom... You were one of the thinner Mom's there!"

I STILL think of myself as weighing 250+ lbs and a size 22/24. I have to look in a mirror and see my 12/14 body to believe it. And even then, I feel like the FAT person.

I just needed to tell someone THAT. It helps to write it down and or verbalize it. Then it seems less... I dont' know... BIG?:confused3
