wow, you have a nice long trip planned! San Diego is beautiful! we love the zoo and SeaWorld...check out the Coronado resort too!

happy to see we won't be the only ones in the parks!!!will add you both to the list!

Still not sure how long we are staying. We are going with friends and their family and may stay in their near-by condo which is more cost-effective than staying at Carousel or BWPPI, which is our normal plan. But the convenience of being across the street is hard to beat.

We're going Canadian Spring Break the week of Mar8-17

mommy2mrb 3/29 - April 3 ~ DLR/Fairfield

We'll be there from March 19-22 on our honeymoon after flying from Australia. Very excited because it's not too far away now! Staying at the DLH from March 20, but trying to pick a nice, nearby hotel for our first night in Anaheim. Then heading down to San Diego for a couple of days at the Zoo and SeaWorld, then back to LA for a few days before heading home on the 28th.

We will be there March 25-28. Really a short trip so just plan to visit Disneyland and CA. I have been at WDW five times but this will be the first one visiting Disneyland, and with my 4 years old girl :yay:

oh that will be fun! we love being able to walk to the parks too!

welcome! do you know where you are staying yet?

how exciting, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! we usually stay at the Marriott Fairfield, its about a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the gates and very nice, clean!

you will love DLR....its a different feel that WDW, but so much easier to park hop! do you know where you are staying yet?

welcome to our new March DISers!

We will be at the Grand Californian from March 17-23 to celebrate our DD's 13th birthday. Last year we surprised her with a WDW for her trip for her birthday. This year, we decided that we would all plan our first DL trip to celebrate.

thought I'd share our trip plans!

for our March 2 - 5 trip we will arrive SNA around 11am and take supershuttle to the Fairfield, check in and head over to buy our Premier Passes...doing this since we have the 2 March trip and planning another one for Feb 2014 to DLR and also going to WDW over Thanksgiving 2013 for 10 days.

not sure which park we will hit first that afternoon, have the rest of the dance studio coming in throughout the day and some on Sunday...also have some dear friends hoping to come down for the weekend.

Sunday park day, hang with friends!

Monday the group will be performing in DCA...not sure of all the detail yet, waiting on DL to get back to the studio owners!

Tuesday a last couple of hours in the parks before heading out around 1230 back to SNA.

we aren't planning any sit down meals for this trip at this time, that might change, but know we will eat at Carnation Cafe, love this place, yummy potatoe soup and turkey sandwiches!!!

************************

now for our March 29-April 2nd trip will be planning lots of stuff to celebrate my DD 13th birthday!

we arrive the 29th to SNA around 5pm, taking supershuttle to DLH, check in and have Megan's bday dinner at Steakhouse 55 probably around 730ish get settled in so we can hit the park at rope drop

Saturday - DL - probably lunch @ Carnation Cafe
Sunday - DCA - welcome to DLR tour @1030 - dinner a@Goofy's Kitchen
Monday - check out of DLH - store luggage - head to DCA - back to DLH get luggage, go to Fairfield in taxi to check in late
Tuesday - DL - Walk In Walt's footsteps tour @ 930
Wednesday - DCA am/MK pm maybe another lunch @ Carnation Cafe, (see I told you we love it) - supershuttle p/u @ 5pm

now if my 60 days to make our first trip PS would just get here...the one thing I don't like about DLR is the shorter time to plan meals and park days, unlike the 180 + days we get at WDW.

so what does everyone else have planned???

welcome! no better place to celebrate birthdays! you will love the GC, we stayed there in 2010, but my Bday girl wanted to stay at the DLH to try the new pools!

Thanks! I asked her if she wanted a birthday cake this year, but she requested the Fantasmic dessert party instead. We are also doing the 1-day ABD tour. Any ideas for a great birthday surprise for her?

welcome! do you know where you are staying yet?

The tentative plan is 3 days in Hollywood checking out the sights and visiting Universal Studios. I really want to see a movie at El Capitain eat at Disney Soda Fountain and do the TMZ bus tour. Oh and I want to buy a cupcake from the Sprinkles ATM. We will probably stay at Sheraton Universal.

Then 5 days at Disneyland. We really want to do a Minnie and Friends breakfast. It's on our must do list. We're thinking about Sheraton Park.

After that just one day in San Diego and Seaworld. I also hope to see the Pacific Ocean. It's out first time going to California and the West coast. I've had a chance to get my feet wet in the Atlantic Ocean and just think it would be fun to do the same thing in the Pacific.

We want to do the Socal City pass. I'm thinking about buying them from the Universal website as they give you a second day free. I've heard you don't need 2 days there but I thought it might be fun to have the flexibility of 2 days in case we wanted to do 2 half days and spend our afternoons doing other things. I want to try to add 2 days to the Disneyland tickets once we get there if possible.

Thanks for the wishes and suggestion! We arrive at 6:30am at LAX, so unsure which transport to use so early in the morning (this is our first trip to DLR). Hoping to book a Fantasmic dessert package one night, and maybe a surprise cake for when we arrive. Hope you have a lovely holiday too!

We are going March 1-9. We got a great rate at the DI&S for $119/night for the C1 suite. (It jumped to $199/night a few weeks after I booked back in July.) We wanted to do 6 days in the park, but since they did away with the 6 day hoppers, we will do 5 days and then go to Legoland the 6th day. My boys (age 8 and 13) are HUGE Lego fans and still talk about when we went to Legoland in 2009. We have been planning this trip since the last time we went to Disneyland as a family in 2010. We wanted to go back after Cars Land opened and SOME of the related crowds died down, and now it is less than 4 months away. (DD and I will be there next week with my mom, and the boys are not too happy about that!)

It will be me, DH, 15yo DD, 13yo DS, 8yo DS. We will be joined by my husband's sister, her DH, 14yo DS and 9yo DD for a beach day, 3 Disney days, and the Lego day. I am super excited, and the kids are excited to share part of the trip with their favorite cousins!

I'll be there March 1 thru the 4th. Just a short girls trip with my wonderful nieces. I can't wait.:woohoo:

we haven't done the F! dessert party, is a possibility though....You will LOVE the ABD tour, we took it in Feb and was the best $$ I've ever spent at Disney!!! so many fun treats and little surprises along the way! our guides were Dean and Michael, so fun!!! you could always order a surprise to be delivered to the room...I will try to find the # to call...also add to your ressie its her bday, you might get balloons at check in....ask for a bday button

sounds like a fun trip! sprinkles cupcakes are so yummy!!! Minnie & friends is a fun breakfast! not a Universal lover, but its a fun park and there is the City Walk too! beach day is always a fun and relaxing time!

have you looked into SuperShuttle? we use them all the time and think they have extended hours if not 24 hours...thank you!

We're hoping to make it down the end of March

Welcome! just let me know if you want me to add dates and resort!
