PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Use the app to make sure your magicbands and/or magicbands+ are working properly to grant access to the elevators and your room. Essentially you can do the same thing the employees checking people in do, but just do it through the app.
How do you do that? Their iPads have a sensor that they tap the magic bands to.

You cannot do the same thing CMs do with iPads and computers in your own My Disney Experience app.

Activating a band on the guests end does not encode it to a room like a CM can when assisting guests. It just turns the access back on for that specific band.

Hi Everyone - We came pack from a trip in August - We checked around 10pm which I know because the MK fireworks show was playing. There was two people there with Leis and tablets to assist us. Unfortunately, out MB+ didn't work and they had to re program them. Also, there wasn't any bell services and the manager had to bring our luggage to our room that we had transferred from Riviera.
I will say that the room was beautiful! We were in 8641 standard 1 bedroom that overlooked the monorail which was cool. It was also next to the Terrace Garden and we used to OFTEN, to read, watch my ipad, etc and there was never anyone in it. As a family of 5 we loved the 2 full bathrooms and tons of space and places to charge devices and Magic Bands. The only negative that I have to say was I wished there were hooks right as we entered like in most rooms, I wished the water dispenser worked inside the fridge, And I wish there was a door to enter the Tower on the side by the pool so you don't have to walk all the way around the restaurant.

Great stay! we are looking to buy so Poly points so we can stay more often.
We noticed a large number of people using the door through the bar into the restaurant to travel to the lobby.

Seems reasonable during downpours…also to reduce exposure to the oppressive afternoon heat. It also means imagineers fell short on finding the optimal path for pedestrians going from the Great Ceremonial Hall to the Island Towers Lobby.

We walked in today around 11am and CM with ipad immediately volunteered to encode our magicbands. Then throughout the day, I saw them busily doing so with all new guests (easy to tell with the leis).

Our CM stated that there will be CM till 11pm daily making sure no one has to go upstairs only to have to come back down or walk all the way to the GCH.

Loved that they are finally doing this after prior years’ of shlepping to a room direct, only having to shlep back to front desk to get MB encoded.

Last time was for me was at Poly a couple years ago before island towers. I had it happen too at VGC, AKV Kidani, and perhaps CCV. It only took 5+ years to workout the kinks in “direct to room” feature. 🤦‍♂️ 😂

The direct to room feature works great but you have to pay attention to the asterisk.

* Once you have reached your room please return to the front desk to allow us to provide a complimentary key to the world card or encode your magic band. We also helped to sprinkle some pixie dust on your Fitbit / Apple Watch. Look at the head start we gave your step count!!

Glad it worked out and CMs should be stationed in the tower to assist guests until 11pm 👍

The MBs are messy especially for repeat guests so DVC members are a recipe for disaster 🤣

My finger was poised on the mad emoji 😡 for a sec before I realized there was no such asterisk. 🤣

We had to call the help desk before our trip to figure out how to pair them, etc and then there was issues with some tickets not showing up or some could only be scanned thru our wallet and not the band, I dont know they need to make it easier, I couldnt imagine some of my family members even knowing they have to do all this or botherm

Disneyland doesnt implement magic bands as much as fl does so i never felt a need for one at Disneyland and then you have VB that doesnt use the app at all.

Im just glad I didnt have to deal with virtual queues this time, that was really annoying having to stop what we were doing in hopes that we would get the ride everyone wanted to go on the most.

The dvc booking site seems archaic like one day im going to be like remember when we had to clear our cookies and history 30 times a day to stalk, how did we ever deal with that lol.

Disney IT needs a boost.
